We got a new freezer and I got a smokin' deal at the butcher in Topeka today! 5 lb pork sausage, 5 lb pork roast, 8 lb pork ribs, 12 lbs cut up fryers, 6 lbs whole fryers, 5 lb beef roast, 3 lb round steak, 2 lb cube steak, 3 lb beef ribs and 10 lbs of ground beef for only $84.95. That averages out to only $2.88 per lb. I also picked up a 4 lb slab of pork belly. We're gonna be living high on the hog (and cow...and chicken)!

North Alabama, and there is nada that I can find unless I want to go ridiculously expensive organic (our farmer's market is not cheap )0 -

@nicsflyingcircus - You might have to make an occasional trip to Huntsville or Chattanooga to find what you need.0

I live in the town adjoining Huntsville, hence my frustration. An area this size should have decent butchers0
