Other than money for affiliations, why do bloggers use Swerve?

Is it better than other sweeteners for certain things, like baking?

I pretty much just use stevia or splenda. I have erythitol, but never remember to use it.

So is ia all about the money?

Put in another way before this totally gets buried.... is there anything special about Swerve?

Well, to me it cooks easier as a sugar replacement when I make fat bombs or keto friendly desserts. I can't stand the aftertaste of stevia and splenda is full of filters that spike my blood sugar. I've also tried monk fruit, but erythitol is the best so far. Swerve just happens to be the only brand I can find in powdered form.

I'm not a blogger, but I occasionally use Swerve.

    a) I have extreme GI issues, skin itching & headaches with Splenda...so I can't use it. I have to double-check all labels for processed stuff, because they are adding sucralose all sorts of places these days to make things "lower sugar"
    b) I sometimes use Stevia, but hate the taste of it. It takes me hours to get the aftertaste from Stevia out of my mouth.

I typically don't "sweeten" things anymore, but when I do, I tend to reach for Swerve because I don't get the side effects as badly from small quantities of it. So it's not really that it's "special", my tolerance for it is just a bit better.

Swerve is just a brand of sweetener that is primarily erythritol, which is a different sweetener than either Stevia or Splenda. Stevia is the extract of the Stevia plant. Splenda is sucralose, which is a sugar alcohol derived from sugar itself.

A lot of people have found that erythritol tastes better and/or does not affect their blood sugar the way other sweeteners do. Swerve, specifically, isn't going to have much benefit over comparable, but differently branded erythritol. However, different brands may be harder to come by than Swerve, and others might not be 1-for-1 sugar replacements.

Beyond that? You might want to ask the bloggers in question. There might be specific reasons why they prefer Swerve over other brands of erythritol. Or it could just be that they happen to pick that brand to review, and it's coincidental.

To add to what's been said above: Swerve is mostly erythritol, one of the better sugar alcohols. Of all the sugar alcohols out there, erythrtitol moves through the body so quickly (is processed by the body so quickly and expelled in the urine) that the body has virtually no time to absorb any of the carbs it contains. This is why some of us who prefer to use Swerve of erythritol as our sugar-substitute of choice only count the net carbs. This is the ONE AND ONLY food item I EVER do this with.
