    Good thinking, Shelley.

I'm going to do a kettlebell workout...after I get on the bike...after I plank. Nah, bike then plank.

DDD is mentoring a student at Chapman and has to look at her newest submission so no gym for us today. :D I'm crushed, as you can see...

    Back later!

KCM today - Muscles. Definition. I like the upper body workout. Too cold and windy here to walk outside. I really miss my treadmill. I'm thinking about buying the new Proform hybrid trainer. I'm going to do some research. It's two machines in one...a recumbant bike and an elliptical.

    Goodnight

Kathy, the Proform hybrid trainer sounds like fun!

Walked w/DH this morning for 5.25 miles in 106 mins (6.54 total miles for 14,288 steps) then got on the bike for 12.00 miles in 45 mins and the first episode of the new X Files then did a two minute plank and 40 assisted pull ups then worked out to a DVD for 30 mins using weights and cursing a lot...a good day!!

I hope you all have a fun Tuesday!

I did gas station laps today and my arms want some TRX tonight. Must obey...

Okay, 30 minutes later: 1 minute stretches; 25/ea TRX squats, TRX lunges (per leg), TRX pull-ups. 15/ea TRX pushups - had to do the other 10 on the wall. 45 sec plank. My arms will pay tomorrow... My legs want some lifts now. Oh boy....

Chris I did kettles today! Great minds think alike! what is with all the cursing? If you had not shirked the gym you would not be crying so much. :*

Paula what gives with those gas station laps? Nice TRX!

Kathy that is one of my favorites also. Did you get a heavier weight? Consider where you would put that bike. I should plug my treadmill in and use it. I always unplug it when not in use. When my husband bought it I told him he had to use it every week until it was paid off. I should not have paid it off so quickly! :smirk:

I have been putting in extra gym time. Arms are sore.

Yes Paula, we should not separate again. :) My partner this week is no fun. Will not even do any weight training. She says she does not like being sore the next day. So I am doing all the strength workouts. It would not bother me if she was injured and could not. But she is picking up any extra stretch workouts for me. :D

Never to separate again...EVER!!! How long is this going to last?? I have no idea what I'm doing! My partner and I eat almost the same things. She was out last week so I'm not sure what her strengths are exercise-wise. Hope it's stretching...I don't get enough of that done.

Walked w/DH and Bean this morning for 4.36 miles in 114 mins (7.36 total miles for 16,078steps) and hit the gym w/DDD and our trainer for a 60 minute workout. Going to finish my book now.

I'm so glad you guys are here! :*

I found a hobbit challenge like the first one Paula and I did. You post your miles for your trip to Rivendell. No one else add their miles to it. You tell the story. I joined it today. It is WALK THROUGH MIDDLE EARTH in GROUPS if you are interested. It's just walking, riding, running, etc.

I like the one I am doing now, but for us being separated. :naughty: And I could not do another right now. No time. Keep me posted for another when this one finishes. They did say once. Just not sure where.

So I made it another day without chips and I logged for the second day. Maybe the 45 days of Lent will not be so bad. :) and most importantly I will reestablish good habits again.

    Rest day.

Kathy posting always helps me. I am not Catholic but I will log with you. I have almost two weeks, I think! :p My husband is Catholic. Mark your weight and let's see how well we do by logging. This is a challenge from me to you. Do you accept?

Chris & Paula my weeks partner just added some one else. While I love helping others, we have an odd number, my partner has so far done only one day of anything but flex. And the other has not logged anything so far.

Got in 30 minutes cardio, 30 of lower body and 20 of flex. I hurt everywhere. I need a break soon. Or a soak in my hot tub.

My partner just logged her time and has really rocked the cardio & strength. So I'm going to see if I can get enough flex in to share back with her.

I biked, did TRX, stretching and dumbbells yesterday. My arms felt all jangly from the previous day's TRX - so it felt good- kind of like hurting the hurt feels good.

Must go hurt some more. I love flex.

My partner hasn't logged anything. She was out last week and nothing so far this week. :s

I'm not weighing in this week. It's been a bummer. Eating and mood...nasty.

Walking w/DH and Bean after my meeting. Maybe I'll get on the bike after 1st grade. Junk food in the trash.

Someone should invent a trigger/junk food bracelet that sends an electrical shocky-reminder to the brain that that particular food should not be touched!! Or if the food does enter your mouth...the bracelet sends a message to your taste center and turns it so bitter that you have to spit it out...just watch you don't spit on your shoes!

    Got to go...

Chris, I agree! Isn't it amazing that we can forget/block something that we know so well? I swear, when I'm shopping it takes time to remind myself why I shouldn't get things. Especially cashews! They're nuts, not carbs, not sweets, they should be fine. Walnuts are fine. Pecans are fine. My shopping brain doesn't get why cashews are not fine.

But ever since that challenge we did with each other a few months ago, my brain just remembers that I made myself give up cashews. So there must be something wrong. So I leave the can at the store. Later on I remember it's because I can't eat just one. :noway: That challenge has kept me cashew free to this day. (A real blessing, you all are.)

If I can get to the remembering without succumbing to the inbetween, I'm okay. It's the shopping and inbetween brains that require the bracelet. ...zzzz zap! Yech! -SPLOT- (oops, hit my shoes )

I have a shopping mantra, probably mentioned it before, but it's just because my shopping brain is so disconnected to reality. It is...
I don't remember why now, but there's a reason why I am supposed to stay away from that!

Down a half from yesterday, in the middle of the low bouncing range.
    Good luck to us all.

You can pm your group leader if you want to ask for help. We've been doing cross-group sharing when there is a need to help people out.

I was off work today so I was able to workout early...I can't wait to retire! :D I completed KCM Start here and Leslie Sansone Walk at Home 3 miles. So I got in 11,446 steps for 5.07 miles.

Now I can go out tonight and enjoy the evening. I saved enough calories to cover dinner but I still plan to eat healthy.

    Another day without potato chips!

    Have a great evening ladies!

The holiday granted me time too. Spent a lot of it catching up on flex and stretching - pulled out my old leg exercises from surgery last year. Can do those while I'm sitting in the sun or reading a book. Then some light dumbbells.

Four day holiday. Life should always be so grand.

Kathy, good going with the potato chips.
I'm not Catholic, but have always done something for Lent. Maybe because I grew up in New Orleans, which is traditionally a Catholic community. But also because I'm a devout Protestant Christian.
This year, I'm cutting back on cocktails and wine. Two or less drinks a week. Doing well on it.
My MIL is slowly dying. Sleeping most of the time. The family is taking turns being with her so she's not scared when she's awake and so she doesn't try to get out of bed. Sometimes when she's awake, she thinks her legs work. She spends time in previous decades now.
Had trouble sleeping last night, as I kept thinking about my sweet MIL and the rest of my loved ones.
Had work today, drinking lots of coffee! No workout as not enough sleep.
Will sleep well tomorrow and will schedule a walk or bike ride as the weather is supposed to be great.
Thanks for listening (reading) It's good to have shoulders to cry on.

    Clara,

You are such a kind soul - it is beautiful that you are helping take such loving care of your mother in law when she is in such a place. Life can be so hard sometimes. So sad for you.

    My weight was up again...

Walked w/DH this morning before the lovely sun came up then met my DDD and SIL at the gym for a 40 min workout then got on the recumbent for 45 mins and episode 4 of the new X Files. I'm done for today. I'm going to Target then I'm going to read... :D

My eating is right on. No junk or triggers.
