I gingerly sipped my first cup of BP coffee yesterday. Imagine my amazement when it actually tasted good. Of course, I spiked it with some sugar free mocha Skinny Syrup. But still, I was very pleasantly surprised. Oily, greased coffee was never high on my list of "yummy thing to try someday."

It is surprisingly not greasy. I worried about the same thing at first. But, I learned how wrong I was. I bet you are glad also.

Follow up: BCP Day One: "Yum." Day Two: "Not so bad." Day Three: "CANNOT FACE IT."

On Day Three I revisited the coconut oil question by melting it and mixing it in with my morning protein smoothie. There were enough other flavors going on to mask the coconut taste and my smoothie blender has enough horse power to emulsify wood chips. So I'll stick with that for a while.

Is it the coconut flavor you don't like? I can't even taste the coconut myself, but I know others that don't like it really seem to notice the flavor.
If you buy refined coconut oil or MCT oil, it will be flavorless.
Did you add butter to the coffee too? I love the taste the butter gives.
MCT oil is easiest for adding to cold stuff too.

Are any of you using the blender to whip up your coffee??? Or your savory drinks?

Here is a thought for some of you. The difference between greasy or just . enjoying fat. I really dislike greasy food like onion rings. BUT love fat. Grass fed butter, coconut oil, avocados and olives. The BulletProof coffee is not greasy. But it is creamy if you blend it in the blender! Enjoy.

That is a good reminder. Lots of new people only learn that detail later.
I actually save a pic on my phone because it comes up enough that I like to show how it's supposed to look.
This one has cream in it though so it has the foamy top. But without cream, and just butter and coconut oil, it still looks creamy like this. Just no foam.

I've been enjoying it daily for about 2 weeks now. It really does keep me satisfied for most of my morning. I just use my Keurig - brew it right into the cup of my Magic Bullet, with butter & coconut oil and a couple pumps of DaVinci - right now I only have vanilla and caramel on hand. Whiz for a bit and done!

I haven't noticed a dramatic decrease in my weight or anything, but the scale is still on a slow, steady downward slope, so that is good. Some weeks it may only be .5 - but it is still a loss so I'll take it!

I, too, start my day with bouillon and butter... I swear I say "MMmmmmmmm" after every sip... I'm probably terribly annoying, but it's practically involuntary... it's just so damn good!

1 heaped tsp Herb Ox Chicken Bullion (granulated) and ~1tbsp Kerrygold unsalted butter.

I think the high sodium of the bouillon is part of why it feels/tastes so good to me, as I'm still pretty early in this keto thing and working on keeping electrolytes up.

I'm wondering if this would also work with the carton of broth? I don't have any on hand at the moment (or bouillon) - so more of a curiosity! The only issue I see is that the broth doesn't come hot from my Keurig - so I'd have to heat it up (meaning more dishes).

And just the butter? No coconut oil?
