Weight stall/gain when starting program?

I'm only on my second day of lifting but have noticed my weight is bouncing up and down (I weigh daily). Is this related, a plateau or time to review my diet?

Related.
Sore muscles store a hell of a lot of water when they're trying to repair themselves, it may or may not calm down over time, but you'll notice a significant increase each day after lifting and then (assuming you drink a lot of water) an equal decrease once the muscles have healed.
I would continue to weigh daily if that is your preferred method, but don't take too much stock of the number for a month or so. After that you should have a handle on how lifting affects the number. It would also be advisable to track measurements if you're not already, as these water retention days can mask quite a lot of fat loss, whereas the tape measure will be showing a decrease.0 -
Agreed.
Though whenever I weigh myself several days a week, the numbers fluctuate some and there are a number of variables. I have another group I'm in on a site where I try to remind the one that weighs every day that a .5 increase isn't always an actual gain or because of a cookie. Exercise, water retention, sodium intake, hormones, etc often are involved and fluctuations are common and seen in particular when one checks their weight every day. But yeah, not far in, don't worry about it.0 -
Last time I did stage 1 I gained about 2 lbs. Hard to judge because 2lbs is my fluctuation. This time I weigh more and lost 4 lbs. Both times I lost inches, this time with more weight loss seen less inches lost. Stage 1 is a weird one to judge what will happen in the program. Keep at it though!0

I was just thinking about the same thing, I lifted yesterday, today I'm 2 pounds heavier. Obviously can't have put 2 pounds on over night so assumed it was water. Drinking plenty today!
On your chart are the bigger spikes in weight the day after lifting or anything consistent like that?
