We're doing DVD workouts once again!

Look for one you haven't done in a while or at all.

I looked through my DVD stash and found...still in it's wrapper...FLAT BELLY YOGA - NO-CRUNCH WORKOUT!! It's a Prevention Fitness System workout. I should give it a try... :p

Let us know what you're did and how you liked it.

Chris

LOL Chris, I may still have one in its wrapper also. I so must look. I have been doing quite a lot of my DVD's lately.

    oops! Sorry!

Clara, I hope you are doing okay.

Kathy, So sorry the bug caught you. Get better soon.

    Paula, walking is the best!

Shelley, I couldn't find one either. And Thanks!

Walked w/DH and Bean (our grandpuppy) this morning for 5.00 miles in 115 mins (6.93 total miles for 15,125 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.50 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Covert Affairs. No 1st grade for me this week. Our weather was absolutely beautiful today!

Logged and stayed within my calorie allotment Sunday and Monday.

Took a sick day from work. Couldn't sleep at all last night from fever and cough. Feeling a little better this evening with all the meds. Hope to get back to exercise very soon.

Going to miss bicycle Wednesday again. Farewell party instead. Then visit a friend in the hospital in the evening. I won't ask Chris or Shelley if going to the hospital counts as a workout. They'd tell me to carry kettle bells, and my friends there think I'm strange enough already...

Is that girl sleepwalking and dreaming that she's in a gym - or is she just kooky?

Feel better, Kathy. ahh, ahhhh, ahhhhhh, shoo cold!

Just kooky is my thought! :* LOL Paula just kidding. Hope your friend is ok. And if you get lost in the halls of the hospital and end up walking for awhile you could count that. B)

Kathy get better. Got some weights to kick into gear!

Chris I sure wish that KCM would make a good yoga or stretching DVD. :p

Walked the boys last night. Timmy and Oscar went one way and I and the other two went the other. Had to run ahead in front of them to get their attention. Timmy was just going his usual way and Oscar was making new friends. Drove me nuts. I hate running in combat boots! Egads! <3 Got to love them though.

Paula, listen to Shelley...walk the halls!! Kettlebells and all!!! Just stay away from the psych ward...just sayin'.

Kathy, I hope you're feeling better today.

    Shelley, yeah, me too.

I didn't post yesterday...egad!! I walked and biked and worked out. Today I walked w/DH and Bean this morning for 5.07 miles in 120 mins (7.17 total miles for 15,649 steps) then hit the gym this afternoon w/DDD and our trainer for an hour.

My right hip is giving me problems. It got better as the day went on but kept me up part of last night. I made a doc's appt for Friday but don't know if I'm going to keep it or not. I didn't bike today, and our trainer told me I was working out too much. So I'm going to walk every day, bike every other day and workout to a DVD the other every other day!! Friday will still be my REST DAY. I don't know if this is going to help or not. I just hate going to the doctor. ugh!

Chris I think most of us hate going to them. But this is why we have insurance! Go. At least this way a pattern might be established if needed. It could be to much exercise though. Take care. By the way, my hip hurts some days also. The right one!

My friend is looking good - they have her walking already on her new knee - i'd forgot it was so soon.

Chris, my arthritis acts up sometimes: knee, hips, feet and then it is gone - such a blessed feeling. Hope you feel better.

I run in combat boots all the time, yup yup.

Good morning ladies, I'm finally feeling human again. I haven't worked out since Saturday so I'm afraid of getting on the scale on Sunday. When I don't work out I don't lose. But it is what it is...we shall see.

Shelley - I woke up at 2:32 in the morning...yes I looked at the clock...and realized I had not finished logging. I grabbed my IPad and finished but I didn't submit it because I didn't know how it would effect today. So technically I did log just not timely. I think I should get a pass...blame it on the meds. ;) What do you think?

Chris keep your appointment. You just need to have it checked out...probably nothing.

Paula- I'm feeling much better. I'm working at home today and may try to get in a 30 minute workout on my lunch break.

    Happy Thursday,
    Kathy

Kathy glad you are feeling better. And yes you get a pass. :drinker: I so know how that goes, and even when I am not sick. We are doing so good. How is the no chips going? Since I have been staying in my calories limit I have been losing. Little at a time. But I lose more if I continue to lift weights. That seems to be the ticket for me.

Paula glad to hear she is doing better. What type of boots are they? :p

Thanks Shelley I knew you would understand. The no chips continues...and I so love potato chips. "No one can eat just one" that refers to me as in one large bag. Haven't really missed them which is really strange...

No exercise yet but I will probably start back tomorrow.

Kathy, I'm so glad you are better!

Paula and Shelley...I can't even run in sneakers!! Cra**y knees!! Combat boots is impressive, to say the least!!! WOW!

Okay...here's what I decided...I cancelled my doc appt because my dumb hip hasn't hurt in two days. I won't go in and say it hurt Tuesday night and hasn't since Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. And...I can't tell you when it hurt before or what caused it. So...I'm going to journal every day how it feels. Tomorrow is a REST DAY so, Saturday I will walk w/DH and bike...Sunday I will walk w/DH and workout to a DVD. I'll do that for a while and see what happens. Maybe I can't do all of it in one day.

Today I just walked w/DH and Bean for 5.00 miles than had lunch w/ two friends I worked with for 10 years. It was so great to see them!! My total for today is 8.08 miles for 17,636 steps.

Chris a journal is a great idea. :) And keeping in touch with old co workers is a great idea.

Kathy my down fall is Doritos. I buy the small packages of them. 11 chips in one. I should give them up. You are doing great with kicking out those chips. The calories in potato chips, all chips, is staggering! :s

Got in a great workout yesterday. And now I am even starting to see some muscles coming back. B)

Chris, arthritis? It definitely hits joints and comes and goes and hurts like the dickens. Aleve was my drug of choice when it was bad. Nowadays I settle for Tylenol which is the only pain med that gets along with blood thinners.

My combat boots are figments of my imagination, so I am going to imagine that they are huge and all gnarly and beaten up.

Shelley, do you mean you're adding muscle to your muscles? I've seen your muscles, they're gnarly!

Kathy, congratulations on the chip avoidance. It gets easier with time. I'm still off cashews. Look longingly at them in stores, but always remember how fast the calories add up when I can't stop popping them in my mouth.

Okay, did my whole week's workout today: 90 minute walk - 45 minutes each way with a full shopping bag on the way back (a ream of paper, two quart cartons of almond milk, and more - ugh). My legs hurt already. And I'm too tired to do anything - even rest.

One of my favorite daydreams right now combines two of my favorite past times: you guys and rocks. First pick up Chris, then drive to visit Shelley (Kathy can you meet us there?) and stop in Colorado to pick out rocks in person at my favorite rock store.

Paula I love your daydream! That comes right after one of us wins the lottery, right? As for having arthritis in my hip...my doc had an ex-ray done to check specifically for that a bit ago. No signs of arthritis. Thank goodness.

Shelley, the journal has helped. I record in the morning about my night and at the end of the day.

Today I walked w/DH early, early this morning for 5.10 miles (7.25 total miles for 15,402 steps) then met my DDD at the gym for a 30 min workout then got on the recumbent for 13.50 miles and an episode of Castle then went to the bookstore w/DH! A great Saturday! My hip is fine...so far.

Paula you are hilarious! But if you do come down we will go rock hunting! Not buying them in stores!

Chris the lottery would be great. But really we just need some more of us to retire. Then we could live that dream of Paula's!

I am sure Kathy would do a trip if there was a beach and drinks involved. B)

Ladies my passion is travel. Love the beach and drinks with umbrellas but I would meet you all in Colorado. :)

Two of my closest friends and I are going to Santa Fe and Sedona in July. All 3 of us had the southwest on our places to see list. We're actually staying for 10 days. It's going to be so much fun!

My sweet MIL passed away on Tues so the whole week has been busy with family, planning the funeral, etc. She passed peacefully with her daughter holding her hand. Going to New Orleans this Thursday for the funeral.

I walked this afternoon with my bestie. I got in 10,423 steps for 4.14 miles. Still no potato chips and logged today.

Let's all have a good first week of the month.
