    After breakfast, stick to water

At breakfast, go ahead and drink orange juice. But throughout the rest of the day, focus on water instead of juice or soda. The average American consumes an extra 245 calories a day from soft drinks. That’s nearly 90,000 calories a year—or 25 pounds! And research shows that despite the calories, sugary drinks don’t trigger a sense of fullness the way that food does.

Hi everyone!! I've had my Fitbit HR for a little over a month and thought this challenge would be fun. I'm finishing my last semester of first year nursing school so probably won't be the most active this coming month due to studying my butt off and still recovering from a month long concussion. So here it goes...

    Starting Weight: 140lbs
    Goal weight: 130lbs by August 31, 2016

Weekly or daily steps: daily step goal (10,000) weekly goal (60,000)
    Calories burned: average 11,000 -13,000
    Weekly weight loss: 0.5 - 1lbs

    Walk

Walk before dinner and you’ll cut calories AND your appetite.
In a study of 10 obese women conducted at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, 20 minutes of walking reduced appetite and increased sensations of fullness as effectively as a light meal.

I've been using my fitbit for 2 years and LOVE IT. Makes me accountable for moving more everyday.
    Name: Kim
Starting Weight: 178.2 (Tuesday is weigh in)
Goal: 150 but I set smaller ones, currently is 165
Sleep: I don't track it because I don't like wearing it at night. I don't really sleep well however.
    Daily Step Goal: 13000
Weekly: Average is 80,000-100,000 steps but I am constantly walking in my job
    Weekly weight loss: 1-2lbs/wk

My suggestion is to find a group of friends and use the fitbit competitions. Our whole team competes every week and it's a great time to see everyone trying to out do the other person :)
