Too many electrolytes?

Hi folks! I decided to add in ketoade yesterday after more bouts of headaches and sluggishness lately. Between the ketoade and pill supplememts, I'm at the following;
Potassium 1500 (ketoade) + 600 pills
Magnesium 800 pills
Sodium 1200 (ketoade).
That potassium looks a little high. Are there negative effects to taking too much? Should I drop the tablets and just do the ketoade?
Thanks!!

From my understanding, potassium isn't required to be listed in foods so we are actually already consuming more than we think. Sodium "protects" potassium as well. I don't know if there is an issue with too much potassium, but if you like ketoade, I think you can ditch the pills. Especially if you are eating vegetables still. Leafy greens (my fave veggies) have quite a bit.
With that said, if you consume alcohol, do take extra potassium on those days. I get sore legs otherwise which is a sign of deficiency even if I try to up my sodium and magnesium.0 -
yes there are bad side effects for too much potassium, however the upper limit is pretty high. I'd probably drop the pills as you are getting more than you think from food and the ketoade should be more than enough.0

I'm definitely munching leafy greens. Collards and chard are so.e of my favorites. I really like the taste of ketoade. It's indulgent! Lol. I think I'll drop the pills.0

I'm not taking potassium Pills regularly but I do have pills on standby if I feel I'm getting a little foggy and disoriented.0

Too much potassium can cause heart palpitations and other bad stuff too. (I know, super sciency huh?)
Too much magnesium WILL cause loose stools. But you can get loose stools from certain forms more quickly without actually absorbing enough of the magnesium itself, like with oxide. Forms that end in "ate" are generally better absorbed.

I haven't had tummy problems (for the most part!) with this dose of magnesium yet. If I drop the mag pills, and I'm sitting around 1200mg + food sources, is that okay? I suppose I can lower the amount in my ketoade by half, too. Just not sure what my body needs and figured I'd go whole hog.
My lack of research is because I was writing this from the gym while on a treadmill. Lol0 -

Do you mean drop the potassium pills? I think you'll be fine. I never supplemented more than a few shakes of NuSalt on my food each day and the sodium and magnesium have kept away cramps and low electrolyte issues. 1/6 tsp of that is 530mg.0 -
I wouldn't drop the mag, if that's what you meant. especially since it isn't causing digestive issues. dropping the potassium makes sense. I bought the same pills in the beginning thinking my cramps were from low potassium then found they did nothing to help me but if I missed my mag I was in a world of misery each night.0

Whenever I supplement any potassium, it makes me dump magnesium, so I think my potassium intake is okay, but my magnesium is still low...0

@Sunny_Bunny_ @auntstephie321 Sorry for the confusion! Yes, I mean dropping the potassium pills. I'm likely getting enough and/or too much, since I eat a lot of green veggies and am doing the ketoade as well. I'll definitely keep the mag.
