    Day 5:

    Down 8.2lbs(additional 2.4lbs)
Drank 12 cups of water, 1 orange La Croix and a bottle of unsweetened tea.
Ate 275 grams of 80/20 ground beef, then off-plan for supper when my daughters soccer team went out to eat (25people) in a city 2 hrs from home at 8pm at a place with no beef! I'd have done steak and called it fine, but no dice. Pasta family style. Tried to stick mostly to Caesar salad and chicken Limon, but I'm not gonna lie, pasta/bread was consumed and I'm already paying for it. Will be interested to see what the scale says tomorrow.

    well *kitten*.
Oh well. Life is what happens while we are making plans, right? Or should I say: "Kids are what happens to our plans! Often!"

8.2lb is NICE! You going back to the meats today? You seriously have me craving a big fat beef patty with major pink in the middle.

This is why I'm glad I made the decision to go gluten free even before venturing into LCHF/keto land. I've drawn that line and it's flat-out not an option for me anymore. I've drifted out of LCHF due to stuff like chocolate and alcohol, but those are more clearly treats/indulgences/escapes and so for me, they're less sneaky than bread products, which have a way of ending up as easy everyday items since they're so ubiquitous.

Yup. Planning on 300g of hamburger for dinner nice and rare in the center.

    Day 6:

    Down 8.8lbs (additional 0.6)
Ate 300g 80/20 ground beef for dinner, well salted
Drank 9 cups of water, 4 of black coffee, 1orange La Croix

Today was another weird day. Working tonight so I slept til 3, showered, went grocery shopping, came to work and won't eat my second meal until after midnight, but I am officially back on track.

Huge congrats on your weight loss.
After 6 months of LCHF, I got curious last night and tried a 2 bite sized piece of fresh french loaf bread with a lot of butter. Wow. Tasted way too sweet. Like @Sunny_Bunny_ seeing that as non food. Useful perspective for dealing with the smell of bread, for me. Keep up the great work. Awesome!!

Drank 11 cups of water, 2 cups black coffee and 1 orange Lacroix.
Ate 490g 80/20 ground beef, salted.

Tomorrow is my official 1 week weigh in, we'll see if I can break 10lbs this week, despite my foray into carb-land. Hooray water weight.

    Great experiment progress!
I'm going to have to give the mono ground beef thing a try at some point.

All Animal April is going well, so I forsee a "mono meat month" in my future!

My friends already think I'm completely nutso.

Day 8 of eating (almost) nothing but ground beef. Down 12lbs total!

Drank 6 cups water, 4 cups coffee and 1 orange Lacroix.
Ate 346g 80/20 ground beef (one meal, I had a crazy night at work and literally never got a chance to eat mid-shift and by the time I got home I fell into sleep very quickly). I ate around 3:30pm, thinking I would probably eat another 200g or so later in the evening but I never got hungry enough and not eating if I am not hungry. Far too many years of that in my past.

    Day 9:

    Down 14.6lbs (2.6 additional)

Drank 8 cups of water, 2 cups of black coffee, 1 orange Lacroix.
Ate (roughly) 325g 80/20 ground beef.

I say roughly because in the late afternoon I pan cooked 490g, dumped all the cooked meat(and fat) in a big bowl and ate approximately 2/3 of it, then was full and put the rest away for later and never got hungry again. This WOE is really suppressing my appetite, and I refuse to eat when I am not hungry at this point. Tomorrow I hope to be hungry enough to eat my last 1/3 from today and also the meat I have portioned and pulled out.

I also have to make a trip to Sam's club tomorrow to replenish my ground beef supply. Last time I pre-portioned 10 500g bags with my vacu-sealer.. I may do larger portions and batch cook more this time around, though I really prefer fresh cooked ground beef.

Such fantastic progress, making me seriously think about following you as I could REALLY do with losting 14 lbs in 10 days!!!! I put on 10lbs over 3 weeks of off the wagon at Easter. I wonder if my husband "let" me, or divorce me for unreasonable behaviour!

I love beef but this mono meat thing is killing my appetite to be honest. I have to work at it to hit my calories and I fail sometimes. Plus between fatty meat and black coffee I am having fairly vigorous, liquidic stools a couple times/day, despite the fact that I am taking no supplements at all (including magnesium). It's not enough to deter me, but it's not exactly awesome either. I am enjoying the results, though they are at least partly attributable to my low intake. I am working on it.

    Day 10:

    Down 16.6lbs (2 additional)

Drank 8 cups water, 3 cups black coffee and 1 orange Lacroix.
Ate 400g 80/20 ground beef and I had to sorta push to finish my 250g patty at dinner, after I had eaten the remains of yesterday's pan crumbled ground beef earlier in the day.

I need my appetite to come back. Today I cooked 4 275g patties when I cooked my dinner one, and packaged them in 2s with my vacu-sealer as prep for work days (Monday and Tuesday). If I can manage to eat the entirety of both of them those days, I'll hit close to 1400 calories which would be closer to acceptable.

    Day 11

    Down 16.6lbs (0.8 additional)

Drank 9 cups of water, 2 cups of black coffee, 2 orange Lacroix.
Ate 363g ground beef. I made myself 325g as meatballs in the oven at around 4pm. Had to really push to even finish 3 of them. Felt faintly nauseated after. At work, my stomach started growling around 9:30 so I went ahead and ate my lunch (168g of ground beef) early. No problems. Still really struggling with appetite in general. It's depressed all around and I don't seem to be able to eat large portions even when I am hungry.

If I can't get to an acceptable level of consumption by my 2 week meataversary, I may have to consider switching back to a more standard keto diet, including but not exclusively ground beef.

Ya, that's reasonable. You definitely have given it a good try.

I am in awe that you have managed 11 days. I tried a modified version of mostly ground beef but only managed 4 days before the lack of crunch got to me. Very easy planning but it sure turned food from pleasure to fuel. And I got pretty tired of that fuel source!

Maybe you can modify as I did with ground beef for two out of 3 meals?

    Watching with interest.

I only eat twice a day, but that might be what I try. Not sure yet. I may eat steak tonight on the basis that if ground it would be ground beef. I pulled two of my frozen patties out this morning to defrost in the sink and apparently my bag had not sealed right and sink water seeped in, ruining them. Granted, I washed the sink first, but still.
