Nice to see you back on the thread Kim! So sorry to hear about your dad and MIL. Life can really suck sometimes.0
-
Gary, how is the newly married son? I think that is where I left off.0

Kim!!!!!! I have missed you. I understand the dad thing, mine passed in November. Kate is living Maui now and spending way to much time in the sun and sand (at least according to her posts.)
I had a decent weekend. I decided not to go on the wagon until after my birthday (27th of this month) Then I will get serious. Limeade and vodka was the choice this weekend but I upped my water to two glasses between each drink. I think it helps. At least it slows my consumption down some.0 -
Yvonne I can so relate to the ivy thing. I have morning glory taking over my entire yard. I have to pick a fight with it this coming weekend.
Syd how do you think I feel with the fact that my oldest daughter will be 32 years old on the 30th. Wasn't I 32 years old just the other day?
Kate how was the 5K and the brew fest?
Catch up with all of you later, lushes!0 -
I missed all of you too...
I am super jealous of Kate being in warmth.
I am hoping that we can move South in about 7 years. I am thinking the Carolina's. I like trees, lakes and wish to be by an ocean if possible. However, I have time to figure it out. I have 4 more years until the last kid finishes high school. Then, I am FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Anybody have thoughts on a good place to retire that is warm.0 -
You can come here to San Diego, Kim...we've got great weather! So sorry to hear about your family's loss. Glad you've rejoined us, it's good to hear from you!
Robin you're much too young to have a kid in their 30s.
I managed to moderate fairly well and exercised both Saturday and Sunday, but I ate too much.
I'm going to go for 0's this week. Huge party this weekend and 5 days in Laguna Beach the week after so I need to drop a few.0 -
Hi Lushes. Finally managed a weekend where I logged everything, even when it was painful to see how many calories over I was. Helped me make some better decisions though so it was good. It's time I really start taking this seriously so I can lose some weight. Mon - Thurs = no drinks! Wish me luck... It'll be a boring week but that's ok, I'll have company next week so that week with probably pretty damned Lucky. Have a good week everyone!0

same ol same ol yesterday. I have all these plans in my head of what I will do when I get home and then I walk thru the door and the plans don't walk thru the door with me. I think I have a force field in my front door that zaps all motivation for getting things done. :grumble:

I finished the bottle of red from the weekend. Was about a glass and a half. I considered having a beer, but refrained. Glad I did. I slept straight for probably almost 9 hours straight. Not sure about tonight. Primaries are today in KY and I sort of like to drink and watch the polls. :drinker:0

Got my 0 and a good workout done. Hopefully the same today. I'm grocery shopping and will pick up wine while there, but that doesn't mean I have to open it, right?!0

0 yesterday, go me! Stepped on the scale today, regretting that decision.0

KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi!!!! So sorry to hear about your losses But super glad to see you back!!!!
And yup, WE MADE IT!!!! Moved Jan 7th and it has been amazing!!! We are so fortunate to have things go so smoothly for us. Life is good, baby!!!!
Monday-8oz of wine
Tuesday-more of the same.
I honestly cannot say when the last zero I had was :noway:
I am getting workouts in.....the piyo has been interesting...not terrible, not amazing. Plus our living room space is limited so therefore so am I. Getting back into the workout groove though. I was really active before I started work...I was doing yoga or walking and always cleaning or painting or unpacking, now the majority of my day is spent at my desk. Although I do try and get up and walk around as much as possible...most days anyway
I have been walking home from work most days, so that is something a little extra.
Have a great day!!!!

Kate, I have a work friend that moved to Hawaii when they let go the Acute Care Nurse Practioners. He, and his partner, seem to be so happy there given the numerous posts on FB.
Syd, I will be in SD in September for my son's USMC graduation if all goes well. How close are you to the base?
So, yesterday, I was given a verbal warning about meds left at the bedside, and of course, the guy almost choked. I didn't even know about it until another RN wrote it up as a safety event. Nice co-worker. So during my meeting yesterday, I learned that this is part of my permanent record and if it should EVER happen to leave pills unattended in a room; I will be terminated. WTF??
This has NEVER happened in the 10 years that I have been there. I am so steadfast about watching people take their pills and I don't know what distracted me from that. It was on a unit that is soooooo understaffed. In fact, I was just saying that I feel like my license is at risk working there because of it. I think I jinxed myself.
I, literally, cannot take another hit this year.
Yesterday, my son turned 18 and we took him to the casino. We, are such good parents.

Kim...I'm about a 30 minute drive from the base. Let me know if you'll be in town! And hang in there at work. Sounds very stressful.
