I started 9/15/2015 and reached my 2 goal 3/20/15 I have been bouncing up and down 2 lbs since then and really broke the goal 5/15/15. Total loss of 54lb. 194-139.4.
I started macros at 55/30/15 for the first month and I stopped loosing... I started looking at people's diaries and ran in to ladipoet and there was coconut oil all over their diary.. So I wrote and asked why and was informed of a LCHF lifestyle and showed this group.. I read and read and read and met sunny_bunny_ these 2 answered so many of my questions and helped me so much!!! At that time I changed my macros to 70/20/10 and did great then to where I finished at 75/20/15..
I am lazy so I didn't exercise at all now wishing I did.. I have a flat butt I have to work on!
My key tips that worked for me:
Nothing sweet.. If it taste sweet then I didn't put it in my mouth (even sugar free). I tried it 2 times in my journey and both times I was so hungry for a couple days later... And I don't do hungry...
Fat fat fat... While others said till satisfied I always tried to reach my goal on fats and keep my protein and carbs lower.
Pickles became a very good friend for the sodium.
I'm sure there's more but can't think now...
In the pics pay attention to the shorts... Yes they are the same pair! Hahahaha

Looking at your "before" photos, I'm surprised you were able to get in and out of those shorts. You must have used WD-40. Congratulations on your achievements.1

Lmaooooo it was hard!0

I didn't start out LCHF but have been eating that way now for about the past year (almost exactly, come to think of it!). The first 80 lbs I lost the "hard way" but the remaining nearly 40 came off once we started eating lower and lower carb. I say "we" because I initially was on board because my husband's doctor encouraged him to one to 100g carbs or fewer with 200g protein or more per day, filling in the rest with fats, and it's just easier when we're all eating the same way so I went with it (I did ask what the guidelines were "for chicks" because 200g protein for a then-160lb woman seemed excessive to me, although I could do it - Dr. said 100g carb, 100g protein, rest fats for women).
Anyway, my goal had been to reach 150 lbs, which would have represented 104.6 lbs lost. I'm a solid 8 lbs less than that now and could safely go lower based on BMI alone, although I don't have any desire to - well, I'd like to get back to 140 but I realize that 2lbs is negligible and i'm ok if I never see it again.
Before: This was taken 2 days after I started logging food at MFP, I weighed 254.6 lbs
A few "in progress" pics:
my birthday in 2014, around 200 lbs...
my birthday in 2016, around 155 lbs...
The first time I wore this dress (2013, I think) I was asked if I was pregnant. This is about 14 months later...
October 2015, I bought this for a trip and was ecstatic that it fit so well, about 185 lbs...
And a couple "Afters" - current size 4-me in my old size 22 pants...
and last month, getting ready for Summer in California - 140 lbs...

Wow that's amazing!!! You look great!0

@ettaterrell are those the same shorts in both pictures?
I showed Tony your pics when you put it on FB, he said "oh wow!"1 -
Start weight: 252lb, June 3rd 2014
Weight: 154, sometime in Feb 2016. I hit my goal weight of 150 on Dec 3rd, but I'd been trying to gain muscle.
Lost it all doing keto: 20-50g carbs.

@ettaterrell you really look awesome too. I can't believe those are the same shorts1 -
This was my first journey.
August 2013 to February 2014.
I then put 80lbs back on.
I've taken 62 back off and am now 18lbs from that "after" picture you see there. Started January 5th 2016. I expect to be there in 5 weeks.
While it has taken longer this time (3.5lbs/week vs 5lbs/week) I've enjoyed the journey this time much more. I enjoy eating keto and can see myself living with WOE for the long term. I am not wanting for anything.
I only I have given up that I would like to get back is some wobbly pops in the summer. Not sure how that will fit into my 30g/day carbs.
However, I am not going to worry about that for another 5 weeks. Ha Ha

I began LCHF in February, 2015 at 231 pounds. Decided to begin at 100 gm carbs. I was scared of fat then, but protein was around 80gm. I quickly learned that LCHF was helping with my fibromyalgia pain, and I could suck in my gut easily! I dropped the carbs to less than 20 gm (5%), increased fats in April, 2015, to 75%, and protein to 20%. I'm now 172 pounds with about seven to goal. I will be LCHF for life because of the continued health benefits! My "before and in progress" picture!

I started in July 2013, about a month after my third child turned 1. I was 33, 5'7", 185 lbs, size 14/16(US). In seven months I dropped to 140 lbs (45 lbs lost), size 6/8 and stayed that size (give or take 5 lbs) until I got pregnant with my fourth child in October 2014.
Gained about 50 lbs during the pregnancy (same as my other pregnancies... not sure why I always gain so much, but at least I'm consistent lol). Was 195 just before delivery (August 2015), down to 164 at my six week post partum check up. Reached 145 in April 2015 (baby was 8 months old), which was the fastest I'd ever lost pregnancy weight! Now I'm just working to get closer to the middle of my goal range (138-145), and I'd like to put on some muscle (I'm the same weight I was my junior year of hs, but my measurements are a little bigger, suggesting some lost muscle mass over the years; I'd like to get that back!).
I'm inept at posting pics on MFP, but everyone else's look great! Way to go!6 -
We all look so much younger with less weight!!! So shocking!!2

I am so amazed, impressed, and motivated by you all! I don't have time to congratulate each of you so am doing it in a group CONGRATS!!
I have a before pic and I'm halfway to goal, but haven't taken a progress pic yet because I want to wear the same clothes as the before pic and can't find them right now :-p3 -
This is a better comparison.
This is not anywhere close from the peak... bit it gives you an idea.

WooHoo!4 -
This was my one year mark.
Started at 165. Now 134
I am aiming for 125-126... But it's really just body fat I want to see going away more than I care about scale weight. I need to get more active. But I'm lazy by nature!
I can control my food like no other without ever having a cheat or falling off the wagon at all. Not even having to really fight it off! But, exercise... That's another story...23 -
Okay, here's my 1 year photo. Before is April 18, 2015 @ 225 lbs. After is April 17, 2016 @ 166 lbs (5' 9"). I've since taken off another 4-5 lbs, and hoping for another 10 by the end of the summer.
@Phrick - your swimsuits are so cute!!25 -

@annalisbeth74 you look great! And thanks, I'm very choosy with my swimsuits. I usually am drawn to the stupidly expensive ones, but then I buy them on eBay for a steal. Even so, that last one in my pics was about $30 more than I'm usually willing spend but I just couldn't resist it! I had to talk myself into it... "since you're pretty much at goal now, it is worth the splurge since you won't be shrinking out of it any time soon!"2 -

You are close to my height of 5'10" and your starting weight is close to my current weight and your current weight is close to my goal. You are officially my inspiration! Thanks for posting.8 -

We are fun size!! I am 5 feet even so I can say it!5 -
I started at 334 pounds back in March 2015. I weighed in at 250lb this morning - the lowest I've been since children (nearly 7 years ago now). 250 was a mini-goal of mine, and I'm thrilled to have reached it. At 5'11, I think i carry the weight well, and I'm starting to really, actually, LOVE how I look - despite having an easy 70 - 90lb to go before I hit my hard goal.
LCHF/Keto has helped me feel better overall, but has also been a way of eating that I can sustain for the rest of my life. I don't feel like I'm dieting.18 -
this is so inspirational - I started just before Christmas 2015 at 294lbs and have managed to lose 42lbs so far - still a long way to go to get to my goal and struggling a little to get back on track at the minute after my holidays back in April but I know this time I do not want to lose my way and want to achieve my full goal7

Does anybody still have a link to Satin Pumpkin's (I think that was his name)?0

Hey Twibbly, are you thinking of Kittensmaster? If so, he hasn't been around for many months.0
