No- but I'm allergic, they kill me.

Every once in awhile. Basically if I'm having chicken wings I might eat a couple of the carrot sticks on the side or a steamed veggie mix that has a few carrots thrown in.

I include small amount of carrots in my diet, particularly in salads. One large raw carrot has approximately 30 calories, 3 sugars, and 5 net carbs. I usually split that with my husband so it nicely fits my daily macros. :|

not a huge fan of carrots anymore, I used to love them for dips but now I like bell peppers more or cauliflower, I will eat them, like @anglyn1 said if they come with chicken wings i'll have a couple with blue cheese but I don't go out of my way to eat them

They are higher sugar than some other veggies but if you like them, just budget them into your daily carb allowance.

No, they give me a terrible runny nose. I used to think this was from chronic seasonal allergies, but now know it was from the foods I ate as well!

Most of my soups and stews have at least a few carrots. I do like carrot sticks sometimes, too.

I've never cared for carrots but I've always tried to eat some raw in my salad to get the benefits. Since going Keto, I just say no.

Every now and then, in small amounts. They ear like a starchier veg (potatoes), but don't have nearly as many carbs. I like winter squash varieties for the same reason.

You're the only other person I've ever found that's allergic to them too! I'm covered head to toe in itchy hives if I eat them.

We're not alone!! My mouth and throat swell shut if I eat them, and my eyes swell shut if someone nearby eats them in a hot soup. Other people eating carrot sticks are ok, though, just not something steamy. It's due to a cross-reaction to similar pollens. Apparently carrots and ragweed are related, and my mouth can't tell the difference.

Yeah, I have something called Oral Allergy Syndrome (guessing that's what you have too, although that sounds like an anaphylactic allergy to me!). When my hayfever is particularly bad I have worse reactions to certain fruits and veggies that are related to the pollen I'm allergic to... It's a moving target, so sometimes I'm fine eating something, othertimes they make my throat itch, I get hives, and my tongue gets raw and sore. Hazelnuts never used to bother me, but now they make my throat and lips swell up too. I also can't eat bananas and some melons. Sometimes oranges and tomatoes affect me. Crazy stuff!

I eat one of those mini packs of carrots and dip them in hummus as a snack.

They are a filling tasty snack. The quantity is small so not many carbs. I get 80 or less carbs per day with a bit of activity.

Eating a balance helps me not binge or crave. It is an occasional snack, like chia seed pudding, small cup of steel cut oatmeal.

    @jetsamflotsam

Same here with reactions to Hazlenuts, complete anaphylaxis and to most nuts.
Occasionally my mouth and tongue itch and swell in response to spinach and the same if I have too many tomatoes.

Carrots so far, no allergies, I won't go out of my way to eat them because of the carbs but I don't avoid them if they're served when I'm out to eat or at a restaurant.
Didn't know carrots and ragweed both contain a similar protein.

Yup- bananas, melons, onions, tomatoes, jicama, lettuce. Sometimes broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, other veggies depending on the pollen counts and if they're cooked or not. After an elimination diet, realized I also react to almonds, soy, processed corn products (popcorn is ok except it acts as a laxative for me), other nut products are variable. I've been told to watch out for cherries, apples, kiwi but haven't had issues with them. It is crazy-- took a long time to sort it out!

Most of mine are cross reactions to ragweed, birch trees, and English plantain.

I ate some with a steamed mix of carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower made steamed with Mexican spices at a restaurant (poured queso and salsa over them), and man, was that heavenly. I don't do it often, but that was OMG, I could have eaten another 2-3 plates of just that and left the bacon wrapped shrimp on the plate. LOL

I eat carrots once a week - 3/4" of raw when I'm cutting them for the slow cooker and one oz. when cooked. The rest is for my wife and kids.

I used to eat carrots with hummus all the time. Now if they come in a vegetable medly or shredded on my salad, I eat them, but haven't been eating extras. I now eat celery with cream cheese if I want a snack with "crunch".

I can't stop eating them so for now, at <20g net, they're off limits. They are an occasional treat reserved for maintenance.
