I have hypothyroidism and I just found out I am 10 weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage last year at around 6 weeks. I heard usually if you make it past 8 weeks it's rare to miscarry. Is this true with hypothyroidism people though? Anyone have successful pregnancies or have any tips?

Not sure about statistics but I do know you need to contact doctor/endo asap. You will need to keep your TSH below 1.5 during pregnancy, especially first few weeks. usually it means an increase of meds, as baby will now be using your thyroxine until its grown its own and is functioning well. Usually around 16 weeks.

I'm trying to conceive and under an endo as I have no thyroid. He's hammered home to me the importance of medication adjustments and getting TSH down.

    Good Luck with pregnancy x
