Many of us feel the need to remain connected by just signing in on a daily basis. We may have a lot to say or very little. We may say smart things, or dumb things. It doesn't matter if we're having a good day, a bad day...or something in between. We'll post our thoughts, our successes, our challenges, our insights (or lack thereof), and our support. We're here for each other. Together, we can do this!
This isn't about perfection...it's about perseverance: to persist in an undertaking in spite of counter influences, opposition, or discouragement.
Onward and Downward. Everyone is welcome!
Do one thing right today...whether it's drinking the liquids, eating the fruits and vegetables, taking the multivitamin, getting the dairies in, having the healthy oil, choosing whole grains...whatever. And, if you're new to this message board, check out goadies.org.
Remember that at its core, this plan is simple - eat a little less than you used to, eat a little healthier, be a bit more active. The rest is just finding the balance that works for you, and your friends on GoaD are here to share what's worked for them.

Good afternoon. I'm Doug in Akron, Ohio and I'm new to this group. It's good to meet you. I'm joining this group because I believe that you can't have enough friends or enough support on this weight loss/fitness journey.
For me personally, I'm down about 50 pounds from my all time high weight of 293. I lost about 30 pounds on my own before I joined MFP in 2013, and the 20 pounds since I've joined MFP. The past several months have been unfocused, and as a result, I'm on a bit of a plateau and not losing or gaining weight. I'm working to try and start losing again and to move the scale south. Ultimately, I want to get to about 193 pounds.0
