    We had to travel to the city this weekend. Hatched a couple eggs, weedle, polywag and something else I can't remember.

    Playing downtown in a real city is crazy and awesome, it was a pokemon promise land. I even caught a 938 polywrath which is now the highest CP pokemon I have!

    Well now I'm very excited if cities offer more Pokemon! This Sunday Awesome Con is doing a Pokemon Go Event on the Mall in Washington DC (for those not familiar with the Mall part of that - it's the large open green space that sits in front of the Capital building). They're putting lures on all the pokestops and giving out prizes (here's hoping for tickets to next year's Awesome Con - we worked as volunteers last year to get free passes!)

    I have a 5K and a 10K egg incubating now - hopefully I get in enough steps to hatch at least the 5k today.

    My egg yesterday hatched a sandshrew. I'm now 1 candy away from evolving him!

    Have another 5k about halfway there that should crack today.

    It must be Sandshrew season XD

    I am still working on the 5k and 10k eggs - hope to hatch tonight at the fair :) In the meantime, I managed to evolve a Vulpix into a Ninetails!

    My bigger challenge tonight is not feeding my Pokemon *cough* or myself *cough* a bunch of fair food!!

    My first pikachu! Yesss!

    I had all my incubators start on these at the same time so it was 5 different 5ks that took me like a week to complete lol.

    Congrats on the Pikachu!! I'm still waiting on this 5k and 10k - 4.3 on both of them so I don't see the one hatching any time soon but the other should be soon!

    Ekans pop up all the time here! Almost as much as REAL snakes lol.

    The only Pokemon more amazing and rare than the Rattata is the beautiful and elusive Pidgey! ._.

    Is it an inside joke that the most common two Pokemon are a rat and a pidgeon?

    In more exciting news I evolved my first Niddoking this morning and hatched an Onix!

    If only PG would make the app use less battery, not heat up my phone (and mine is a current iPhone!), and run in the background and still count my steps. A Question: anyone have issues with getting up or moving and it assuming you are in a car so you don't get your movement counted?

    Otherwise... yay us! I love getting a bit of vitamin D (I'm deficient) and exercise, although I walk too slow, ha, ha! Good luck everyone.

    Hm... the only time I have that problem is if I AM running and catch a Pokemon without stopping - then my character has to catch up to me and I get the You're going to fast and have to push the Passenger button. But it still went back to following me once I was going the proper speed again. Hatched Onix number 2 last night :/

    You may not be able to monitor steps from a step app with the app open, but I discovered if you go to the Health app button (a white square with a red heart) the dashboard is always recording your steps on the iPhone.

    I do wish Pokemon Go hadn't taken away the battery saving option! I loved being able to hold the phone down so the screen would disappear - and the phone would buzz if a Pokemon was close. Hope they put that back in eventually!

    I heard a rumor they updated the app serverside (so no official update from the store) so the game refreshes faster and you get more distance counted towards your eggs! I think its legit, I got a lot of distance counted today, but maybe its just the placebo effect.

    I've been getting nothing but pidgeys, rattata, and 1 slowpoke and 1 goldeen.

    I hatched a 5km Venonat yesterday - THAT was disappointing! Hoping to hatch a 5k and 10k tonight. Then I need to find more eggs, I'm all out! XD
