ABOUT CHALLENGE #1:Make sure all of the requirements have been met. All Teams have 21 players; some probably haven't shown up yet. Trying to "friend" them twice means over the period of the week, not the same day and not before the game started (which is today, Monday). There is no need to send a request to anyone who is already a "friend".
The purpose of this challenge is to start bonding as a team, get to know all of your team members and to get comfortable posting on your team’s thread. Until I can verify that everyone who's going to show up has done so, and enough time has passed to realistically establish those connections, points claimed for this challenge will not be verified. Unverified Points show up as "Red" until accepted. Once accepted they will turn "Black" and the points will appear in the "Totals" column.
Your post should be made on your particular team’s thread and needs to have @MissionEnforcer appear somewhere within that post (tagging). In this case just stick @MissionEnforcer (no spaces) by itself at the top of your post, or use it in a sentence (uh...maybe not). It doesn't show up as an E-Mail, but instead as a notification on my site.
NOTE: THIS POST IS NOT INTENDED TO BE DIRECTED TOWARD ANYONE PERSONALLY, AND IS BEING PLACED ON ALL TEAM THREADS. No puppies were harmed by the writing of this post!

@MissionEnforcer Challenge #1
My name is Tara. I also live in southern Ontario. Very close to the border of Detroit. So shopping a great, although our dollar is pretty crap right now. Our weather is unpredictable. Last week I sent my kids to school in fleece long-sleeve, pants and fall coats, today it's 80+. It can snow tomorrow. I love the 4 seasons. Glad to meet new teammates and see old ones back!
@SmashleyM914 I recently lost my fitbit one. I've had it for 3 years and I miss it. Will be getting another this week. Trying to decide on if I should upgrade to a wrist one. I'm not a big watch fan. So I'll be joining in challenges soon.1 -

Alright, official introduction time! @MissionEnforcer
I'm Shelby! I'm 24. I teach social studies to the best group of 7th and 8th graders ever. I'm also one and a half classes away from earning my masters in Teaching and Curriculum through Michigan State. I live in Northern Michigan, and I love it. I've never lived somewhere with a beach, and a lighthouse, and a car ferry, and I still get giddy thinking about it. I'm marrying my goofball of a fiance on June 24th of 2017. Then we are cruising to Alaska (and I'm not sure which I'm more excited about). I roleplay, cosplay, and play video games. The three important "plays." I was also in plays in high school, but that was a long time ago.
Anyway! Fitness stuff. I'm a yo-yoer. I drop 8 or 9 pounds, then gain them, then lose them, etc. Right now, I know what I am doing is right, and I'm trying to plow through and not give up. The scale goes weeks without moving, and I can't let that discourage me. I feel better, my clothes fit better, and I'm even being told I look better. That means a lot to me! It is really important that I look good in my wedding photos. I actually put off my engagement photos for almost an entire year because I was ashamed of how I looked. I'm taking them next week, and it still makes me anxious. I don't want to go through that next summer. As for workouts, I love walking and jogging. I do Zombies, Run, and C25K. I also love walking to audiobooks. I'm working on sprinkling in more core and strength. I have been in a few other challenges, the longest-lasting one being the Harry Potter challenge (can't seem to escape that one).
Here's my fiance and I.
Here's my lighthouse!!!!
Northern Michigan is super pretty.
Andddd here's me cheesing, because Transformers filmed in front of my house this summer.

Hi my name is Pam, I'm 49 years old and I am new to this challenge. I live a small town in southeastern Kentucky. We enjoy all of the four seasons, right now it's still like summer here. We've had temps in the 80's this week but in a few days it will be in the 60's. The trees are changing colors and the leaves1

@MissionEnforcer Hi to all. I am Lynn 56 and new to the challenge but very excited. I think this challenge will give me the push I need to get back on the fitness wagon. We bought a farm house that we are remodeling. I have no children at home but 1 daughter in New York. We live in a smaller town in SE WI which is great for walking. I think it is a 3 mile round trip to the subway or the Library. I love walking but have a desk job which is a bummer on the fitness level. I am also a Jillian Michaels junkie.2

Assessment of my day yesterday - it started wonderfully, then I didn't have a healthy option for lunch so I ate cold pizza. Then my husband got home super late from work and I was trying to put off eating dinner so I could eat with him which totally turned into me doing a bunch of snacking, then not being hungry, then eating when he got home anyways because I wanted to eat with him. Ugh, the struggle is real!
I did complete day 1 of the water challenge though!!
How did everyone else's day go??1 -
My day was good yesterday! I was soooo thirsty I drank a ton of water, more than I needed to, so day 1 of water challenge is complete!
I had no time to snack as supper was leftovers, so everything was ready & just needed to be heated up.
I watched the drumming videos yesterday & I have to figure out where & how I will do them. I can see a lot of teasing from my kids. Maybe I will make them join me.1 -
Haha!!! @xxghost... can't get away from the HP one.. too funny My husband is HUGE into video games. He's an Xbox-er. Also the....cripes... can't think of the name of the type of games. Fluxx, Superflight... those games. Someone has to take care of the kids I guess, so I just stick to Rockband on our date nights
You guys - I'm so excited for this race!! I've missed the little videos and dances the past couple weeks since the summer race was over. I'm going to try and be way more interactive than I was able to be last race.3 -

@MissionEnforcer
I am Patti Rogers. I live in Southwest Washington State. I am 55 and a grandmother of eight. My husband and I have been married for over 36 years. I am rather a health nut and follow the "Trim Healthy Mama" eating plan. I love weight training. My purpose in this challenge is to just stay active. I am a Real Estate Agent and tend to sit at my desk way to much! It has been rainy for the last couple of weeks here and the leaves are changing.1 -
My day was pretty good yesterday. I managed the first day of the water challenge and it was a challenge! Doing better today half way already.1

Hello Amazing Racers!
I'm sorry to jump in on your team thread like this, but it is kind of important, so I'm putting it on all the threads.
Challenge #2 has three components to it:
1. Viking Chant/Geyser Dance: Three times through
2. YouTube Videos: 3 Videos, 2x each
3. One routine to your own music and your own beat (or just repeat the 3 videos)
If you choose not to do a routine of your own making (I recommend making one up to the intro video at the top of the "Racing to Reykjavik" page; it has a really fun beat to it and you can dance along while you drum), then you must do the 3 videos 3 times each, PLUS the Viking Chant Video 3 times.
I hope this helps clear up any questions! Thank you for your attention.0 -
Daily assessment for today - I had a good day! I bailed on my healthy dinner because hubby isn't home again, so I just popped some pizza rolls in the microwave and ate those. Not sure why but something about him not being home makes me have no interest in cooking. My 5 year son and I went on a 4 mile adventure together today, he rode his bike and I ran. He did so great and made me proud! It was some great bonding time, too. Completed day 2 of the water challenge as well, yay me!
We're unfortunately hanging out in last place so don't forget to keep going on your miles and get those extra credit points!!1 -
Yesterday went well for me! I ran 5 miles before 7am (woot!) and this afternoon I did 4 miles while my son was at Cub Scouts. I'm trying to train for my first half marathon so most of my exercising is running.
As for the water challenge, I weigh slightly over 200 lbs (I'm 6' tall for reference) so getting 100 oz of water is difficult. My normal goal is 80. I managed 100 oz yesterday and have 20 more oz to do today. I will make it. Now I eeed to find time now to do the video challenges. I do have an exercise ball so that will come in handy2 -
@SmashleyM914 Can we count flavored water (sugar free lemonade, etc) for the challenge? Or does it have to be straight up water?1
-
@MissionEnforcer I am from coastal Georgia. I am trying to be healthier but sweets and slumps of I give up challenge me. Glad I have a destination to reach. That will help motivate me. Plus now a team is counting on me to pull my weight.3
-
So after attempting a few of the videos I realize I was not meant to be a drummer. I'm glad that wasn't one of my life long dreams.4

Good morning everyone ☕️I have been drinking my 120 oz of water everyday and working hard to get in some exercise minutes. I'm disabled I fight 3 diseases everyday and I refuse to lose!! I haven't been able to go to my water aerobics classes this week due to my DDD and Fibromyalgia and boy do I miss it. I'm going to do the videos today.1

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but all of my post are being cut short0

HI All!
I successfully drank all my water yesterday & I have run again already today. This weekend I will kick up the exercise minutes to at least 60+, but while I am working it is tricky. I read in the question section that any kind of movement that is not sitting on the couch counts for exercise minutes. Today, I will walk around my parking lot at work every hour, if I do not have customers, at the top of the hour, no matter ridiculous I may look to the neighbours watching me3
