Poll: (Just out of curiosity)

I know that many of us here migrated from the WW message boards. I also know (or THINK) that we have many new participants who were never on the WW message boards. And some who haven't even done WW. So here's the poll:
Were you a member of the WW GOAD board?
Have you followed WW in the past?
Are you following any of the WW programs now?
Were you a member of the WW GOAD board?
Have you followed WW in the past?
Are you following any of the WW programs now?

Are you following any of the WW programs now? NO (not now, not at all for probably close to 5 years, and not devotedly since 2008) (Sorry, WW, for all the freeloading) (not sorry)1 -
Yes yes yes***
***OK I have the plan memorized so it's not necessary for me to journal everything. I still use the same portions and eat mostly simply filling foods. Many WWers consider themselves as doing the program in a similar fashion. Should my weight drift steadily upwards I would go back to recording it all.0 -

I lurked on the WW GOAD board and posted there once or twice.
I followed every program of WW on and off since 1971.
I stopped following WW in March 2016 after trying Smart Points/ Beyond the Scale for 3 months and finding it unworkable. That's when I came here to MFP. It was the first time I tried any program other than WW.0 -
Were you a member of the WW GOAD board? Yes
Have you followed WW in the past? Only in terms of accountability and support - I never did any of the points systems. I got to goal/lifetime by calorie counting.
Are you following any of the WW programs now? I haven't attended a meeting since last December, but I stop in once a month to keep my free lifetime status active. Which reminds me that October is almost over so I need to get there over the weekend.0 -

Were you a member of the WW GOAD board? Yes, I got more out of the comments on GOAD than I did at the WW meetings
Have you followed WW in the past? Yes for about a year in 2014
Are you following any of the WW programs now? No, I'm using MFP and counting calories0 -

Not really. I had transitioned to IM (Intuitive Maintenance) in 2010 or 2011 so I've techincally been 'off program' for 5 or 6 years. That said, there are a lot of resources offered in the WW toolkit and I have, at various times, used any or all of them.
I continue to think WW is a great program. Right now, as podkey and misterhub imply, there is so much ingrained in my behaviors from WW that I think it still serves as an internal 'frame of reference.'
There are, after all, only so many ways to balance the calories in/calories out equation to where I need it to be to meet my weight management goals.0 -
Were you a member of the WW GOAD board? Yes, but only discovered it about 1-1.5 years before it went away.

You won't lose your lifetime status because you miss a meeting. Once a lifetime member, you're ALWAYS a lifetime member. I went over a year without attending a meeting. When I did, I was no more than 2 pounds above goal so I only paid for one missed meeting.

@beachwoman2006 - I should have worded that differently. I'm just cheap and haven't had to pay any fees since March 2012. Don't want to start now!1

I wasn't a part of GOAD but I did follow WW. I no longer do since MFP is free and SP does not align with my personal nutrition goals0
