It's the middle of the month and let's focus on Non-Scale-Victories. Just to make sure that you do not over focus on that gosh darn scale, take a look at the list in the image. Please tell us one or more of your November NSVs.
Mine is this: Even though I have traveled and had some not-to-well days, my fitness levels have been up and all of my clothes fit great.

Just finished my Monday morning Active Stretch, then 34 minutes of Cardio/Strength intervals. Whew!4

My big NSV is making it to the gym 3-4 times a week for the last 6 weeks straight. Before starting this new program, I have had a membership to a big box gym and I think I have been 10 times in the last year and a half.. (I have done other activities outside the gym like soccer)
My husband rationalizes the cost and breaks it out by visit. We are paying $90 each a month to be in Crossfit but if you break it out by the number of times we actually go, it is cheaper per visit than the $30 membership at the other gym.. LOL He does have a point though. Whatever motivates you to get going and stay at it, is worth your money.5 -
Going to go hit the trails for a nice run this morning.
NSV's:
1. Making great high protein low carb food choices with appropriately stocked kithchen for past two weeks.
2. Reading menu and planning ahead on eat eating out last night. That took the stress out of it and I just has fun with hubby and friends, with zero regrets later.
3. Planning ahead and bringing my own food on my weekend family sports' extravaganzas. The multi-game/cities are just a way of life for our family, so having a plan is the way to go. (Now to conquer the long call weekends in the hospital with all the treats tempting me there).
4. I did notice some shirts fitting a little better yesterday.4 -
NSV, I don't know. I still have some t-shirts that are large and x-large. If I wear those I look emaciated. Geesh, I am a medium now. Wedding band, that poster talks about that. I changed back to my small one from 20 years ago. My big one falls off.
I will have minimal exercise today. I am still going to count it as 20 minutes though. I gave my little buddy some personal training today. That is the ticket. I am a personal trainer now. I always wanted to be one of those.
Buddy had some good focus today. We got him up to the edge of what his spirit could handle. It has to be fun or have a potential for fun. What else would motivate a little guy. Curiosity? I like taking him where he is curious. Walk through the hall of the first and second grade building. He likes looking in windows and doors of classrooms. Look at those kids. What are they doing? I always wonder what his perception is of other kids. He sees them sitting quietly making their letters. He sees them running, jumping, dancing, prancing. Is that motivating?5 -
Exercise: yes, lots of walking and tidying today
Tracking: yes, every last mouthful
Calories: amazingly yes! I was expecting to have gone over. My husband started a new job today and so we had some champagne to celebrate but even after logging that too I had about 150 calories left over. Phew!
November NSVs: my jeans have got really loose and only stay up with a belt. I can walk/hike faster and further.4 -

Exercise: Yes - 45 minute wooded lunch mini-hike up to the south cove ridge, Body Pump after work (got to stay the entire 60 minutes class - woo hoo)
Calories: Yes - however, I bailed on dinner and just ate cereal...not the best choice...
Tracking: Yes
NSV - Two weeks into this challenge and I feel as if I have a new tool in my tool box! Y'all! I look forward to ending the day by tidying up (closing) the kitchen, brushing my teeth and reading & making my post. Good or bad, it puts an end to my eating day. Kinda healing, really.

I have a mental image each night of the kitchen closing down. In reality, we have an open floor plan and there are not doors to the kitchen. In my mind, sliding metal doors come all around and close it down. Some nights, I need to put the locks and chains on those doors too! I love checking in with this group once I have had dinner and "completed" my day as well.4 -
I had a very good day at work. One of my long-ago client couples from a prior iteration of my legal career returned today and they engaged me to handle their estate and aging planning. It's a complicated business fact pattern. I'm a tax attorney, so I love the complex, but my goal is to make it simple. I got hugged by both the husband and the wife at the end of our two hour appointment. That's why I am still working!
Calories: very good
Tracking: ok
Exercise: very good and noted this morning.5 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - Leg day! 60 min strength training
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
NSV's: My pants are definitely fitting looser and I'm on the last notch on my belt. I guess I have to get a new one. Also, I'm back down to a size 8 which was my original goal, but I'm going to keep going and loose another 15 to 20lbs. Making it to the gym every morning before work is also a HUGE for me. I never thought I would be a "morning person" let a lone a "morning workout person"! And, I'm feeling stronger and have fitness goals instead of just weight loss goals. Loving my new lifestyle3 -
Exercise: Yes; 55 min run and 34 min strength training
Calories: Yes
Tracking: Yes
NSV: I have been increasing the weights used in my strength exercises. Today, I pressed 260 lbs on the seated leg press, which is about 100 lbs more than I pressed when I began strength training. My heart rate is lower during cardio, and I am able to run farther in the same amount of time. Sometimes, fitness progross motivates me to keep exercsing more than losing weight2 -
