    On my way to my CT scan this morning, I passed by this fountain and noticed it was frozen. On my way home, I pulled into the parking lot and took photos. Temp was 24 this morning, wind was calm here at my house, but the further south I drove, the wind was gusting. It was super cold when I got out of the car. Felt like 10 degrees, OK, I'm exaggerating, I think the news said the wind chill in Portland was 17.

    The pool area where the water gathers on the ground is about 6 inches deep. It looked like the ice was at least half that depth.

    Isabella, funny you should ask that, the fire department made an announcement on the news to NOT try to ice skate on anything, it's not think enough to hold weight and they have plenty of rescues going on already.

    It sure was dark in there, I'm always amazed that the snow can accumulate in the holes of the chain link, the top was solid.

    The llamas are well insulated with their fiber, the snow just sits on top and never gets down to their skin.

    Sheryl, those pictures are just totally awesome!!!! <3 We didn't even get a dusting of snow :'( , it seems this was one of our warmest winters since I have been in Texas.

    Here's a photo of the flowers I received. JoAnn brought me a miniature roses plant and my cousins from Southern California sent a bouquet of cut flowers.

    I'm so thankful that all these wonderful pics are still here, I just went through them and wow how home sick it made me. I sure do miss you all and I just loved seeing everyone's pics who posted thank you.
