Kathy unless you are training really hard you can do them every day. I say if it feels good do it. I know people like to do what the pros say........But we are not training as hard as them. The weights most of us are using here can be done every day. You will quickly see results. Love that you are buying heavier weights. Just a suggestion, but metal dumbbells verses those rubber coated ones when you can. The rubber coating gets ruined on most racks. When I was lifting at my heaviest I trained daily.

Shelley - Thanks for the suggestion about the dumbbells. I will buy metal. And I'm going to try to do this everyday. I need it and I feel that it is possible. The only day I wouldn't is on match days. Thanks!
And by the way I started a plank challenge 2 days ago. I guess I'll start posting my times.

OK gals, I have decided to post my upper body work here. Even if it is not exactly what is posted by my Chris. I did overhead presses. Not the best, shoulder did not like that move. Bench presses. Rocky spotted me for the 10 reps at 65 pounds. Shoulder felt that. Then 3 sets of curls. Only got up to 10 pounds. Did some pull downs, great stretch for you know what shoulder. Forearm work. And some skull crushers. Oh and fly's. My beeping shoulder would not fully extend. I did some others but thought I would start with mentioning those. Makes me push harder when I tell you all.

Excellent job! Nice lifting there!! I cannot say the same...I am still down and out. Hoping to get a walk in tomorrow and walk to our voting place. We'll see.

I will be voting this evening also. Can not complain unless you do I say.
I must admit though, I am rather discouraged with the politicians this time more so than ever before. This will be an interesting 4 years ahead of us.

I agree with you Shelley...it's like choosing the best of the worst. We are voting this morning after our walk.

Well I ended up voting for neither! I did vote, just chose someone else.
I sure hate hearing how sick you are. Get better.
Going to do some weights, might even be that KCM, and treadmill tonight. Then color some more.

Two days down. My arms are sore. But it is a good sore. Sara is recovering nicely after her spay. We also had her teeth cleaned and her vaccinations caught up.

Got in my upper body workout. Bench is up to 70 pounds now. Shooting for 100!

Chris, it sounds like you're finally recovering.
Now it needs to keep diminishing so that eventually you notice that it's been a few days and you aren't been suffering anymore.

Nice job Chris! I did weights yesterday also. Bench Press was 85 X 3 twice. That was of course after working up to it with lots of other presses. Also did flys, deadlifts, pull downs shrugs and a couple of others.

Chris I can't believe you pay someone to murder you!I really wish I could though. Glad you are.
I only did a 65 pound bench today. No spotter. Played it safe. I also do 45 pound shrugs. Hear that shrugs will help your bench press!Increased my pull downs to 50 pounds. That was using my bowflex. Not sure how accurate they are. But it really helps stretch out my shoulder. Finished my upper body workout.

I did legs tonight. Squats and presses. I can do leg presses on my Bow Flex. I used bot 50 pound rods on each side. I doubt it was 200 pounds though. Let's see if I can walk tomorrow. Also did 20 minutes on my treadmill at incline 6-7.

My husband has a BowFlex too and a weight bench. He's slender so no bulging muscles, but has a body type like a long distance runner (which he was in high school).

Paula I like the BowFlex for some things. I wish my husband was lean! Muahaha I also have two other benches I use. One I love the leg attachment on it. I hated the one with my BowFlex and tossed it. And another I like for bench presses. It is that really old museum model I picked up at a garage sale. I was just driving by. Not really sale hopping!

Last night was supposed to be arms. But we had almost 9 inches of snow so I did shoveling instead. And poor Timmy needed a bath. So I did that. Then decided what the heck and made some fudge to send to family. Now aren't I a stinker?
