I take diclofenec for arthritis and they told me I have to stop taking it after the surgery. Do any of you take anything for arthritis?

I used to take Meloxicam for my hip pain. As it is an NSAID, it is a nono-post surgery. I haven't had to take it since dropping the weight. My hips are still arthritic and I have limited range of motion, but the pain is much less frequent and less intense since I am not beating on them as severely due to my smaller size. They still ache after basketball or long walks, but I can manage. Dropping the weight will have many positive effects, and hopefully this will be one of them.0

I took Diclofenac & Tramadol for fibromyalgia for years (also have arthritis in some spots) and had to stop the diclofenac prior to my surgery. Luckily, the weight loss has eased the burden on my body and most days the tramadol alone is enough. I am allowed to take Tylenol if I have pain not covered by the tramadol.0
