I resolve to start and participate in more threads, and to generally be a more active GoaD.1

I don't typically make resolutions since I always broke them in the way-back past. However, I resolute to continue maintaining my weight in 2017, and will be here on GOAD as I have been for the past couple years.1
-
My resolution is to stick to my calorie budget so that my average weight returns to my green zone.
Staying active here as well as in my other groups helps me to keep my head in the game.0 -
My goals are to continue to work on developing an new form of an active lifestyle around my back problem and learn to eat better and more consistently on a reduced calorie intake with no significant calorie burn as a buffer anymore. Those are frankly doable and the food intake was a huge fail next year. I am trying to be more active on GoaD again, which is doable since I am retired now. I want to be more of a contributor. I plan on getting back to reading books again since sitting somewhat comfortable is doable and should improve after this month's next back procedure. I plan to continue to take cooking classes and will expand on my knowledge and skills. Next one is in 3 weeks on Cauliflower. I will spend more quiet moments on my patio garden which will be awesome again now that I can do more. I will find ways to volunteer as I get healthier and settle in somewhere by year end. I will work on being a happy and the happiness of others.2

The only resolution I'm making is to get back to weighing myself EVERY MORNING!1

One of my resolutions is to start tracking and weighing daily. Also get back into running - I miss it!0

I've got 3 but after reading Calvin's up there, I'm adding a 4th:
1. Read 12 books this year
2. Weigh myself every day when at home
3. Beat my 2016 step count of 4,174,000
4. Be a more active GOADie0 -

I'm with you on the reading! I've gotten away from something there that I really enjoy.0 -
1. Increase my lap swimming from 1/4 mi (8 laps) to 1/2 mi (16 laps). That is 30-40 minutes before or after my water aerobics class.
2. Start using machines at gym to increase leg strength, as part of post arthroscopic knee surgery.
3. Add treadmill walking
4. Try aerobics class in gym again to test knee/ankle strength. I switched to water aerobics due to my weight and sore ankles.
5. ETA Try kayaking. It was on my 2016 list but knee surgery prevented me from taking the class at local Psrkx & Rec center.0 -
1. Reduce my caloric and WW Pts by around 20% because this has worked for me in the past to stay on a loss program.
2. Read a positive book at least 20 minutes a day. I've been hitting and missing most days.
3. Start walking per Cardiologists orders at least 10 minutes a day then up to 20 minutes no stops.
4. I also want to participate more on the GoaD board. This really helped me a lot and I got away from it in 2016.
5. I have weighed daily before I even started WW and dieting. Going to make sure I continue that for sure.1 -
I'm back from vacation and sadly going back to work tomorrow
Since I went a bit hog wild on vacation my goal is to get back to normal eating and maitenance behaviors knowing that my weight will follow. I also resolve to continue saying yes to new experiences and to not let fear of the unknown hold me back0 -
I consider them goals for the year. I usually do make some each year, and I achieve some, others I fail miserably and still others I modify or learn from while trying to achieve them. I have several fresh starts in my year. Jan 1, Easter, my birthday are typically days I consider that I am starting a new again. I take a different approach to each. Probably means I have lots of things I need to fix about myself. Work in progress...0
-
Jan 1 goals = several fitness goals; 7 more pounds removed; eliminate the "dreaded tasks" (things I need to do that are difficult emotionally and the process can be challenging) most revolving around the final closure of my parents estate and catching up on the personal items that fell to the wayside due to caring for others over the years. I'm close but not there yet.0

I never make ny resolutions, but I kind of did this year, committing to the following for January. I'll deal with the rest of the year later.
Read a devotional each morning (Laura Dingman, Freedom Tastes Better)
Track daily and stay within my SPs
Photo everything I eat and send it to my accountability partner
Gym 2 times a week0 -
Some years I make them, and some years I don't. I decided to make some this year:
1) Make a list of people who've had a positive impact on my life, and send them a note telling them how they've made a difference and to say thanks.
2) Work on getting more and better quality sleep.
3) Try yoga.
4) Write a short story.
5) Learn to meditate.
6) Weigh every day.
7) Participate more on GoaD.
8) Get the book read BEFORE Book Club meeting. Read the ones I missed in 2015.
