OMAD Appetite Suppression

This is one thing that amazes me about OMAD/Fasting.

I went for such a long time trying to get an appetite suppressant tablet. I tried literally everything. Black coffee, loads of water, genuine tablets I bought in health stores etc. Nothing worked.

Today I woke up, had no breakfast and went to work. In work we get a free lunch sometimes and I'd usually have that at about 1pm. Today I didn't. I then finished work and did some chores and got home at 8. At no point did I even have one craving for anything all day.

I popped the lunch in the microwave and had dinner with some housemates. Spent exactly ZERO on food today and had so much energy all day. I actually started feeling like I was gaining energy as the day wore on.

And at no point at all was I hungry, even when I eventually ate. It's unbelieveable. I'm just 8 days into OMAD and it looks like I've adapted.

I was offered chocolate twice by workmates today and rejected it both times. Each time I assured the work mate that I was just not hungry and he would see me eat tons of chocolate soon. (first rule of OMAD is don't tell anyone you're doing OMAD).

    Your body is becoming fat-adapted, which comes easier for some than others. But it also means that since you have an energy source your body is happy burning, then you naturally don't crave anything to have to tank up on. Keep in that state and you will cruise along pretty steadily to your goal, friend.

    The only thing I'm worried about is a cheat day messing things up.

    I expect to have my first cheat day as a reward on day 14 this coming Sunday. I will no doubt be eating chocolate and other goodies. I'm curious to see how I feel the next day and how much of an effect, if any, that it has. I would imagine that I will be slightly knocked out of my stride and will have to once again use willpower/discipline to get back on track. As opposed to now where I am using absolutely no willpower/discipline and cruising along.

    Use it if you need it, but don't feel obligated. At the one-month marker, you can always try it. By then, you will NOT be knocked off track. Your body won't reverse-adapt in just one day's time.

    That is way cool. I find it is much, much easier to not eat at all than to eat small meals. Once I awaken the beast (my tummy) it can cause trouble. Best to let him sleep!

    Have a cheat day but don't over indulge on junk food. Have three meals and enjoy them and add a sweet or two if you feel you need something else. I don't look at it as a cheat day but a splurge day.....eating an extra couple of meals. A good breakfast, a nice lunch, and dinner with dessert. I have found I drop a little weight but the following day it is just a wee bit difficult in the afternoon to wait for dinner. By the next day though I'm back to normal.

    Hi Joe .. last night i had such a headache ..(Day 4) Couldnt figure out if it was the headache or hunger that woke me up.. But i just drank some water and watched some more of your videos to keep me on track until I could go bck to sleep

    Hi: Giving up certain foods like sugar or caffiene can make you have a headache for a few days.

    Cool. Sometimes, you just get a headache. I've had one for the last three days. I felt terrible. Then it went away, and life is great again! :-p

    probably this or dehydration. Could lack of salt be a possibility. I know keto people have to take in more salt.
