water challenge done for today.2

@jamaicanlady I agree about the water not being a problem. I drink at least 8 a day to help prevent issues with kidney stones. Thanks for the encouraging message!3

Those carnevale and ballo intro videos were the stuff of nightmares. Beautiful costumes, but super creepy - at least to me, anyway. For me, going to Il Ballo de Doges would be like going to one of those really hardcore Halloween haunted houses where you pay to have the crap scared out of you. It sure would be a unique, "once-in-a-lifetime" experience, though. And since the challenge is paying for it, I don't mind the $1500 ticket! See you there...I'll be the one cowering in the corner.
Anyway, I walked during the videos, so got those bonus minutes. Also, water will be an easy challenge for me. I drink about 9 cups of plain water every day, plus a few extra cups of tea and/or other flavored beverages. I got this!3 -
Water challenge done easily yesterday.
The video on Venice is beautiful- a great way to start my morning stretch warm up.
I'm going to a kickboxing class tonight. I Never would have considered it without the kickboxing challenge last week.
I have given myself a deep tissue foot massage every day for 6 days now. The difference in my foot pain level is amazing.5 -
Happy Tuesday3

Welcome @tinacuso!
I'm finally over the flu bug that took me out for nearly all of last week. So excited to have my energy back for workouts and general getting around, lol!
Challenge #1 is done. I'll save the 2nd challenge for Saturday, probably, when I have more time. All I drink is water, save for my morning coffee and occasional afternoon Cherry Coke Zero pick-me-up, so Challenge #3 will be a breeze. I have a 32 oz Yeti that I fill up several times a day.
My office was closed yesterday for President's Day so today feels like a crazy Monday. I'll be walking the 1.5 mile round trip to the gym for my Pilates class this morning so that will add some miles to our total. I've been waiting for the weather to get to a point where I can walk and today is a nice 74 degrees. As much as I really wanted a proper winter, my weight loss has caused me to turn into an icicle at anything below 45 degrees, so the warmer weather is welcome.
I hope everyone has a great week! Let's do this, Team 2!3 -
Water done day 1. I've been struggling with my water intake lately though, so hopefully this gets me back on track. Couldn't get my butt out of bed this morning, so no minutes. However, I was getting in a crud mood so decided to throw on my tennis shoes and do a few laps around the parking lot. Better than nothing and will hopefully cheer me up a bit.5

Challenge 1 completed and so far so good with challenge #3.
So glad I'm done with the exercise challenges, now I don't have to think about them for the rest of the week. We are currently in 3rd place, let's try to maintain this position! I have a good feeling about this week
@Annampea It's funny you mention kidney stones. I got them twice and it was due to consuming a lot of protein and very little water. I finally learned my lesson! Protein still high but water intake also high.
@jenilla1 You made me literally LOL! Is it bad that I NEVER watch the videos, I just don't have the time
@llmg970 Yes! Rack up those minutes! Every little bit counts.
@Cindyk4919 My feet would really do well with those massages. I need to find a way to incorporate even one of them a few minutes a day.
@murdog3t Happy Tuesday captain
@RandiNoelle Glad you're back into the swing of things. I know when I'm sick and I don't get to exercise I get miserable. I think not being able to do much exercise during my pregnancy made me one cranky person.
@lbenson2006 I hope the exercise you got brought your mood up a bit. It usually helps me.5 -
Heading off to my very first kick boxing class- never too old....right?4

Hi Team-
Thank you for the warm welcomes and friend requests. My Mondays at work are busy and late so I apologize for the delay. I was on the wait list for the previous Amazing Race and was put on Team 4 but I totally missed the beginning of this Amazing Race so I put myself on the wait list and was added to your team. So happy to be playing....
I know that doing the challenges helps the team the most so tonight I plan on doing the first video. I went to the gym last night did 50 minutes on the elliptical. Most Tuesdays I ski (I live in Albany, NY) so I always get my exercise in. This water challenge is hard for me. So far I drank my water for Mon & Tues. Let's have a good week!!6 -
I'm liking kickboxing. It's only a mile from my house. I should have walked! It's so record setting warm here. 59 at 8:00 p.m in February!

Day 2 water done ✅4
-
@jenilla1 I completely agree about the videos, totally creepy! I turned off the sound and let them play while I moved and watched them off and on. I liked the sitting workout, a lot less pressure on my hips and knees! Doing great on the water challenge, day two down. I agree with @jamaicanlady so encouraging to see us in third place, let's keep it up!!3

Challenge video 2 done & day 2 water done.2

I'm so proud of us! Except for a handful of people, we've been taking the time out to fill in the spreadsheet daily. Love it!2
-
Today is water aerobics or yoga... I haven't decided which one I'll go to yet. I'll be walking to my lunch meeting today so that will add some extra miles for us.
@Cindyk4919 Glad you enjoyed your kickboxing class! I love the cardio kickboxing class I go to. It's good to mix things up!1 -
DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE YOUR WEIGHT, IF YOU WANT TO BE INCLUDED ON THE WEIGHT LEADER LIST!
ALSO, If you want to use the Weight Tracker, but DON'T want to appear on the Weight Loss Leader Sheet, message me privately.0 -
So. .. maybe my first kickboxing class SHOULD NOT leave been the night before I had to hang 24 pairs of drapes! Where's my massage?1
-
Question about the water challenge... Do I need to log my water in my diary to confirm I completed the challenge? Honestly, because essentially all I drink is water and I know I go well over the 64 oz per day, I have never logged how many oz I actually drink.0

No, you only have to keep track on your own and then give yourself the 5 points after Friday.0 -
Hi All!
I was trying to motivate myself to workout and came here but there was nothing new posted since the last time I had checked. So I thought "well then it's up to me to post something." So I got off my butt and went and sat on my butt and did the chair workout.
Wow that was a challenge for me! I hate upper body and my arms are super weak. So that was hugely challenging for me. But I got through it so both challenges are done for videos. Just the water one which is a breeze as I drink water out of 32oz cups anyway.
Have a great day all and stay motivated!!5 -

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to follow the moves in good form, because I really suck at all those dancing videos. Maybe my special skill is chair workouts?
I was a little disappointed that Peanut didn't put as much effort into the routine as I did, though. Worst fitness partner ever. (Still cute, though.)

Good morning team. Hope everyone is having a good week.
I plan to go back to the gym today still not going to push myself but need to do a little more but still breathe. Yesterday I was able to take my dog for her short walk, she is so happy to head out but soon remembers why she doesn't go far. She is amazing with her recovery. Just wish I felt like that. I have been keeping up with the water daily.1 -
I just looked at the spreadsheet and my challenge #2 points are gone. I'm putting them back in. People might want to check every once in a while and make sure their entries aren't getting deleted. This happened to a few people last week, too.0

Slept in today and had to do paychecks for husband's company, so no workout for me. Missed the water challenge yesterday by one cup, thought there'd be no way of getting there today, but looks like I just might!! Will then just need one day over the weekend. Going into work tomorrow, but I'm hoping to treat it like a normal workday including a workout! On the plus side, the president has complimented us on our hard work. It really helps to know they realize how much we are putting into it. Hope everyone has a great weekend.2

Reached our destination which bumped us back up to 3rd!! Great job Team 2 Beat!0

Oh dear teammates- I have to drop out- please get a substitute. I fell on the ice last night, then passed out in the middle of the night when I got up to go to the bathroom. Did a lot of damage here. Going to urgent care to see how bad it all is. Have to have the sidewalk clear before I can get to car.
There's not going to be any kind of exercises for me. I need a walker or a cane at the very least.
Can I still stay in the loop? I will cheer you all on.0
