I bought some for my water I thought it'd be a good change up. But idk about the sugar alcohols in it. Anyone think it's okay for the Keto diet or want to recommend something better? TIA!

I've been drinking a lot of it because I use it to make "keto-ade" to get lots of salt in. I've had zero issues. I'm using the Mio Energy if that makes a difference. Yay for caffeine!0

I personally prefer the Simply Lime packets. They do have a small bit of carbs due to actual lemon or lime peel grated a small bit of real sugar (1-3 grams per packet), but I don't exceed more than 1 a day normally, or a few on a really intense heat/sweat day in which ketoade is highly used.
Generally, me personally, I work to avoid dyes, specifically red dye #40 - as it is my gut's mortal enemy and the Artificial Sweeteners/additives: sucralose, Ace K, maltodextrin, dextrose, etc.0 -
I drink Mio, and Metro's store-brand version of it. I don't mix it as strong as the instructions say, I just use enough to hide the wretched taste of my tapwater. I do drink a lot of it though... I get 3 gallons out of one of those little plastic bottles, and I drink almost a gallon a day. So I go through a little bottle of the stuff in about 3 days.
I haven't noticed any problems from it, personally. However, I don't think I'm sensitive to sugar alcohols.0 -
Generally, people will avoid sugar alcohols because their body reacts negatively to them. In my experience, most people have a negative intestine response....or as my family says "they give you the super poops. and not in a good way"3

Any Mio I have seen is sweetened with Acesulfame Potassium and Sucralose except the 2 flavors that are sweetened with Stevia. I don't think any of those are considered sugar alcohols. I use the flavors with Stevia but like them all. I avoid the flavors with caffeine but would love to try the coffee flavor. Sounds refreshing to me.0

They are fine I've used them the whole time no issues. Also the Dasani versions as well.0

As was mentioned above, some folks react or stall with artificial sweeteners. They can affect gut health too. You'll have to experiment to see how they work for you.0

I use PomBerry Mio and lime juice in my water for a 'treat', but prefer Nesfruta (made from real fruit juice concentrate.) It also has Acesulfame Potassium and Sucralose in it but has better flavour. Fave is Coconut Pineapple. I use less than a single serving in a 750 ml bottle because I just want a faint bit of something, not an actual juice drink. One container will last my husband and myself 3 weeks or so (I drink 2 bottles and he drinks 1 per day.) I've tried the stevia ones but they are too sweet to me, if they were more flavour and less sweetness I'd buy them instead.0

I have an array of Mio flavors, plus the Publix house brand versions. They haven't given me any problems (and if anyone on this forum is going to have digestive issues, I'm a prime candidate.) I don't use them so much for flavoring water as for adding to smoothies and yogurt, so I probably use less than some folks. A few drops at a time is more than enough for my purposes.0
