I now know I need a combination of weight, measurements and body fat/muscle mass in order to get a full picture for me.
Body fat % goal to be revised based on tomorrow's weigh in.
I know that feeling, when I was a teenager in recovery from my EDs I was probably about 140-145 but absolutely useless in the physical arena. Couldn't do a push up, no one knew what a burpee was and running/cross country was like invented torture for an asthmatic. I am thankfully over that phase of my life.
I just tend to get a bit frustrated with the 'throwing out the scale' movement in general because everyone pushes it like it's some miracle cure to all your weight related anxieties, and I did that, and I also gained back 12lbs and ended up crying in a hotel room in Paris. (IBS bloating/pain sent me over the edge ) I feel like those who are upset by the scale the most haven't found the right goals outside of weight loss yet.
Sorry guys, I didn't mean to deviate like that but I had to get it off my chest.3 -

Thanks for talking about that. People who don't have eating disorders tend to have a hard time understanding the fact that throwing out your scale can be like losing a piece of you. I have anorexia and still haven't thrown out the scale because of the fact being that it is so hard. Anyway thanks for talking about that.0 -

Goal is to lose 3-4 lbs each month until wedding in September. We can do it!2 -

Nice Woosh this AM! Woot Woot! For some reason, I am always more wary of a loss than a gain because of my tendency to become complacent. So that I don't slow down, I will have to focus extra hard for the next 5 days before I travel. Up that mileage on the runs. I will hit 10k within the next month. Stay Focused Everyone and Happy Monday!!!!!4 -

I did stablise above 145.6 after my whoosh last week and I thought I had maintained (week to week/Sun to Sun 147.4) due to my increased calories (reverse dieting) but it was just my period pushing me up. Just means I need to work on my calorie intake again this week.0 -
Had a good power session with my PT at the gym yesterday. Still on track to hit my revised goals which I am pretty pleased about actually as this weekend just gone involved a brewery tour on Sat (I only had one pint) and a posh afternoon tea on Sun (I didn't even attempt to log).

Having a seriously difficult time sticking under the 150 mark. I struggle A LOT with binge eating and eating back all of my exercise calories (and I exercise A LOT; 90 mins a day of running/Insanity/cycling/yoga). Having a hard time not taking advantage of all the fun work treats and all the "special occasions" I find for myself. Hoping to reign it in a bit because I have a DietBet going for 143 the first week of June!
Trying Keto/HFLC, so it's possible to lose that in water weight. Then maybe I can start my actual weight loss if I can ever stop obsessing about food.3 -

Success/Struggles: I just spent 5 days on the road for work and play but I spent some of it in Nashville with buffet after buffet. While I did manage 4 out of 5 days in the gym, it was no match for the amount of booze and fried food that was consumed. By me. Yes, it turns out that in my own environment, I am disciplined, but when in the wilds I still have a LOT to learn. I will be interested to see what the scale tells me for the rest of the week. I don't see how I could have maintained after that. But, regardless, my "bathing suit" trip happens next week so it is back to cold beans and porridge for the week. 5 of 7 days of running, Finishing the 30 DS FINALLY!

Haha. No. I basically ate like an absolute trashcan last week. Substituting actual food for junk because I suffer terribly from PMS, the kind that drops your serotonin/hormones and you want to punch people or cry, for real. That being said, my muscle mass is up and my BF is down. Go figure. Also did zero exercise. But that benefited me because I haven't been out of training for more than two days in 5 months. My literal bones were crying every time I did side leg raises. Now I'm much better and happier. Onwards and upwards!1
