Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

I started my life as a horse lover by riding horses like this one! I'm proud to say, that I never fell off one of those. I cannot say that about the real ones.

Busy day today. Spent about 3 hours in the garden pruning my largest climbing rose and some other shrubs, expecting sore arm and chest muscles tomorrow. Also got about 3/4 of the way through clearing my closet before 2 shopping trips I have planned over the next week and a bit. Tried on all the clothes and not left with much that fits as I expected.
Exercise: gardening as above
Tracking and calories both good.6 -

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 6.67 Km in 60 mins (hills - 250m elevation change).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Weight dropped 1.1kg that I reported yesterday. 0.5kg from goal.
@trixsey1. Glad you enjoyed the 5K. Best time? or do you not track things like that?
@Slimpossible007. 4 passes and you are out of the circle. Even if not in circle, stay in UAC as it helps to form the right sort of habits (and we like you here ).
@hil331115. Tomorrow is a separate day. Forgive yesterday, and just treat today as new.
@Calli1616. Happy to have you here. Well done on giving in and just gorging.
Strong starts are easy, consistent performance is hard.
Make your habits, then let your habits make you.
As Rick said yesterday.RangerRickL wrote: »..
Anyone who is working on developing healthy habits for a lifetime, will fall off the wagon many times before those new habits can become habits. Once the habits become habits, then our failure rate plummets. The UAC is NOT designed to be a one month challenge to be in the Winner's Circle. It's a group of people working together to be healthy for life by tracking our intake; calorie consumption and intentional exercise.
..
Last point is that you cannot make a habit that is too uncomfortable or restrictive. Longer term you will un-learn the habit to remove the discomfort or restriction.

@craigo3154 .. I know .. I was telling @shonat11 that she was fine after 3 passes .. it would have been my quote you saw
well done on your weight drop5 -
@craigo3154 I believe you to be a great motivational tool on UAC and your daily posts on your own wall. Thank you for taking the time to help others who struggle with daily life challenges. You are a positive person and those who know you on MFP and in real life are lucky to have you around. Just wanted you to know that your encouraging words mean something to me.4

@everyone UAC has made changes in my life. Even though I'm new to the group, I feel as though other people, who I have never met, really do want everyone here to succeed. It's a great group to belong to. Keep up the good work everyone...half the month has passed...we will all finish strong!8

Exercised?: Yes.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Had my usual morning jog, 35mins, 25mins of strength training with weights, a walk into town (daughter's new glasses from opticians) there and back, and a 70min walk with dogs (mixed terrain).craigo3154 wrote: »@trixsey1. Not a great time, and I finished in the last 10, lol, but it's for the persons enjoyment more than anything, although I would like to see if I can improve on this over time.

Glad to be here even though I've used up my pass days
Exercise YES fast walking 17m and slow walking c2hrs
Calories OK
Tracked YES
I'm using quite a few exercise calories as , on holiday ,I'm having wine with dinner most nights. Obviously that's extra calories but also makes me want to eat more (wine left so more cheese, cheese left so more wine -you get the picture!) Anyway I'm having a lovely holiday and managing to be reasonable some nights which is not too bad!
Hope you're all ok and thanks everyone for the support!7 -

They track the time, you get a barcode upon registering for the run which they scan in at the end at the finish line. It's then uploaded to their webpage where you can track your progress with each run you do - if you want to.

@trixsey1. First and foremost, Really glad you enjoyed it.
Doesn't matter if you are first or last, it's whether you feel you have done well inside yourself.
My daughter is not much of a sports person (in fact she is clever enough to almost avoid sport entirely at school, usually helps out, but not on the field ). She must occasionally do some races (like house cross country), but usually does not enjoy them. My wife and I have the attitude of: "It is better to do something than nothing" and "If you improve your own performance, that is all that can be asked". PB's (personal bests) are celebrated more than any placings within the field.
You probably felt better finishing in the last 10 than most of the mid-fielders.
- You did the 5K.
- You enjoyed the run.
- You have a benchmark to now improve on (if you even want to track it).
Keep at it, you are doing great.

Exercise: 1 hr 50 min trail run with the dog. 30 min yoga
Calories: under goal
Tracked: Yup
30 day yoga: 15 days done need to make 1 up
Miles: 7.5
Lesson Learned: Consistency and setting reasonable goals are most important when on a journey like this one. Over time success will appear right before you. I've set up many a training plan that put a lot of pressure on me and often felt that I had failed when it didn't get done "the way it was supposed to". I was setting unrealistic goals for myself. And that is where I lost the joy in what I was doing. I am now running myself happy as a friend said to me today out on the trails.6 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yep..60 minutes strength training, and a 90 minute walk.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep3 -

Today marks Pass #3 in my July journey with UAC. Tracking and caloric intake were great. However, the intentional swim I planned for today with my little girl didn't happen. My aunt has a pool, and when we arrived there to swim were greeted by several family members. They were so excited to see us and visit that I just went with it and wound up visiting and watching everyone take turns playing with the Peanut. I wasn't able to get any exercise in this evening either. I really enjoyed the day though it's my last free day for the month. Gotta get back into the swing tomorrow. *Big Smile*4 -
@craigo3154 I feel excited for you to be so close to goal!!!
Pass Day #2 for me. I ended up out for lunch and then high-tea for my Mothers birthday, went over calories at night and was really tired so didn't exercise. I also had a plan that one of the days this weekend would be a pass day so I'm not too stressed about it. I know I can stay on track during such things if I put my mind to it.

@PaisleyFlower and @MyersCrystal It's great to take 'intentional pass days' that provide you and others with joy. None of us wants to be the difficult guest at the party. I'll write more about that idea in tomorrow's post.
@Conchita962 I am so happy for you to be running yourself...happy!!
@shonat11 Thanks for choosing to stay in the game! We all need each other.6 -
Pass Day#1
Just a bit over my calorie limit. Darn. We were away from home this weekend and I did super well until we got home tonight! I was tired, hot and hungry. I had a big bowl of cereal plus 2 mini mars bars. Yikes!! 86 calories over.1 -
@Dosse1320 Sometimes a calorie splurge just sneaks up on us!! You are doing great, so a minor wobble will not upset your overall balance. You are a moderator...stable and firm!4

My report:
Calories: about 200 under the limit
Tracking: good, that helped me skip an ice cream offered to me by my beloved, Rose. She ate one.
Exercise: lazy day walking for 25 minutes. Muscles sore from yesterday's exertions.4 -

Yes x 3!
I am so excited! My leg hasn't hurt from a long-standing problem since my PT on Friday. I go to the PT for my back, but I think they found a solution for my leg! I'm crossing my fingers that it still feels all right tomorrow.5 -

Thank you both! It was great fun, brilliant people, very welcoming.
Men and women, all shapes and sizes, different abilities and you can walk/jog/run at your own pace.
To just actually finish the run was an accomplishment - I felt really pleased with myself, the Marshal (the main organiser) took my photo too, as I was the only "first timer" there.
The other peeps were regular runners, or new to the area. The run was over the same place I take my dogs so I know the area well.
Looking forward to the next one.

Yes x 3. And I'm pretty pleased as I was in airports all day. I had a two hour layover and spent 45 minutes walking the terminals. Might have looked lost to the casual observer, but felt better when I'd moved a bit!3
