I love a good smoothie, but I find that protein powders are expensive and full of chemicals.
Also, premade shakes are expensive and have the after taste!
I decided to experiment, and my first was a total success!
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup liquid heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp granular splenda
About 4 drops vanilla extract.
I put this in the blender, then on into the freezer for about an hour.
It was so yum! It had 5 protein and 6 fiber and 2 NC!
I will be using this for a few meal replacements!

What do y'all do for creative smoothies?

Hardly seems worth it for only 5g protein... Are you sure the numbers are correct?

This is more of a fat bomb and unless you are already at your desired body fat % or weight, then this is actually detrimental to fat loss. The amount of protein is hardly worth the amount of calories.

    half an Avocado
    1/2 cup, Spinach
    1/2 cup, Coconut Milk
    3/4 cup of water
    few ice cubes
    1/2 tsp, Vanilla extract
    1 tbsp(s), Brain Octane
Couple drops of Stevia Liquid Extract
    one scoop of Collagen Hydrolysate

MFP put it out to 494 cal, 44 grams of fat, 8 net carbs and 15 grams of protein.

Sounds like a good dessert, but I would personally seek a more nutrient and protein rich meal.

Lowish carb smoothie I've done and enjoyed as a breakfast when I was LCHFing:

Protein powder (I like sugar free Biochem, natural or vanilla) (90 cal, 1 carb)
About half an avocado (128 cal, 7 carbs, 5 fiber)
    75 g spinach (17 cal, 3 carbs, 2 fiber)
    85 g fennel (26 cal, 6 carbs, 3 fiber)
unsweetened coconut milk (box kind), 1 cup (45 cal, 1 carb, 1 fiber)

Total=306 calories, 18 g of carbs, but 11 g of fiber, for net 7. Also has 25 g of protein and 17 g of fat.

These all sound great also! I am really not using it for a heavy meal just light snack/light meal. It has around 250 cals in it. It makes for a yummy treat also and a replacement for ice cream and milk shakes.

    This was my personal favorite:

    Leanne Vogel January 28, 2015

A dairy-free, thick and creamy chocolate shake recipe made with hemp seeds and hemp oil.

    Eating Style: Dairy-free, Egg-free, Gluten-free, Grain-free, Keto, Nut-free, Paleo, Refined Sugar-free, Soy-free, Sugar-free, Vegan, Vegetarian

    Prep Time: 05 minute

    Serves: 1

    Ingredients
    1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
    ¼ cup hemp seeds
    2 tbsp cacao powder
    1 tbsp hemp oil
    ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
    5 drops alcohol-free stevia
    Instructions
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend, until smooth.

I personally just melted coconut oil instead of using hemp oil, as I didn't have any on hand. I did use some heavy cream in it sometimes... But the protein from the hemp seeds is awesome.
