I'm posting this here because I can't tell my friends. They all view the WoE negatively and basically just view it as an eating disorder. Mostly it is just jealousy disguised as concern.
Yesterday, I broke down and bought new pants/shorts. I hate shopping because I normally just get frustrated. I started this WoE at a tight size 8. I've been wearing my skinny pants (size 6) since about April. But they've started falling off my butt, like "moon the world" fall off. So I went shopping yesterday. I picked up a size 6 and 4.... because I didn't really trust the four for some reason. Self doubt I guess.... I tried on the four and to my amazement they were too big! I ended up walking out of the store with a size 2P! (P for petite- I'm short and have no butt/thighs naturally). I can't believe I'm in a size 2! I was a size 3 in highschool, but that was 20 years ago! (For those who get confused with sizing: Odd numbers are for junior sizes and even numbers are women sizes. There are slight differences in the way they are cut).
What are your non-scale-victories?

Congrats on the size 2 @CRZYFTM!
I have a couple wins to share this morning!
On my morning walk today and it hit me that I've gone the past couple weeks without needing pain killers when I go to bed. I've got arthritis in my lower back, which I believe was caused when I was 18 and I broke my back skydiving. I wasn't paralyzed or anything, I just had intermittent excruciating pain and ended up doing therapy for 2 years. In the end, I'd forgot all about it till my mid 30's and suddenly arthritis in my spine.
Anyhow, the weight sure didn't help, and for the past ~12 years I've been taking ibuprophen + muscle relaxants every night, or I'd be in too much pain to sleep.
This was still on my mind as I was finishing out my walk with a trip to the farmers' market, when a car pulled up beside me and stopped to talk. It was someone who worked at a wine store I used to frequent several years ago. Anyhow, she said she saw me and had to stop to talk -- she couldn't believe how much weight I'd lost.
Finally I got home and have some 'spring cleaning' to do - I rented a dumpster and spent some time hauling old furniture and stuff out to toss in the bin, and partway through it hit me. I was wearing tight leggings, and a tight t-shirt, and running shoes. I haven't work tight-fitting clothes out in public in YEARS. Or maybe ever? Sure leggings, but I always wear a loose top, to hide myself.
More than just being 'in public' in tight clothes, it struck me that I didn't even mind. Yeah I'm still fat, I still have a lot of weight around my middle, but I'm not ashamed of it. I'm working on it. And I'm fit enough to be moving furniture single-handed, so who cares!
Needless to say, I'm feeling pretty amazing this morning! No longer needing painkillers to sleep. Strangers stopping me in the street to say how good I look. And not being ashamed of my curves any more. Yeah, I'm grinning hehe.5 -
This is day 10 for me and I have lost 9.6 pounds so far. My NSV is strange but when I look off my shirt I saw a few small shallow divets. I think those are small pockets of space that was filled in with fat! Also I lost 6 overall inches on my first "official" weekly weigh in.

Size 2! Awesome, @CRZYFTM! I also have no butt or thighs whatsoever. Sad, really. Seems clothing manufacturers these days have designed ALL pants to be for thick legged women with a big butt - I don't get it at all. They ALL sag on me if they're not leggings and/or jeggings. Sad. If I wear wide-legged pants, I look very heavy on the bottom.
@Steph_Maks I'm the same way! I always had to have loose fitting tops on - bottoms, not so much. Better-fitting clothes that are closer fitting feel and look better when we're not as heavy as we used to be!
