    6/30 so far this month, yay me! Why do I ever skip walking? I feel much better already. Thanks for all the encouraging words!

    Hello Anee back at you.

    I have my workout clothes on and it is nice and cool outside. So off I go. How do you convert steps to miles? I have a Garmin Nuvi on. Can you set it to mikes? I live in the coast of Alabama.

    September 7 & 8: yesterday: working in the garden again yesterday morning for several hours and a short while in the evening.
    Today:1 mile: 5 Day Slim Down: the Classic Walk.

    @KarlaLM58, welcome! You can surely do this again! We will be cheering you on and walking with you :)
    I don't have an answer to your question but hopefully someone else will.

    @Farmeress, well done :star: . Many of us discover that 'feeling better' is a common side effect of walking :smiley: .

    @Deeder522, you didn't need any exercise routine of any kind after your awesome day of moving things in your house yesterday. You got plenty of exercise!

    Good morning.

    Thank you Texasgardnr for welcoming me. Are you safe in Texas or get affected by Harvey? My grandaughter lives in Dickinson with her Dad. They did not get their home flooded, but the inlaws did.

    I did pretty good for a first day. I got my walking clothes and shoes on and trekked all over my huge back yard and into the front. I did this for 45 minutes. I am going to do a LS DVD today though. I've been doing hers for years! Safe and effective. I like the 30 Minute Burn, quite and a good overall workout. I add hand weights to it also.

    I get my 5yo granddaughter and her bff shortly. We will have fun. Her friend calls me Nana too.

    Well, I am not doing so well meeting my goal, but you can sure tell the days I am teaching! :laugh: I started back with Leslie after not being able to do anything for the month of August and the 2 mile walk went very well! :+1: It's going to be a while before I am back to 5 miles though! :noway:

    KarlaMN58 I use the Garmin Vivofit step tracker and one of the screens gives me the miles walked, but I can't find a Nuvi step tracker on Garmin's site so I am not sure what read outs you have. You could see if you could find a stride checker on either the Garmin site or the web and then just convert your steps to miles. It might not be exact, but it will be pretty close.

    Zichab- I did a Hey Siri and research showed 10k steps are 4-5 miles. I will upload to my APP and see what it shows for miles, I bet its on there.

    I did the 30 Minute Burn today and I struggled to get through it, but I pushed forward. Yea!! It will get better as I continue to do it.
