    Name: Imelda
Occupation: Office Manager at an e-commerces company
    Age: 35
    Height: 5'4"
    Current Weight: 187
    Challenge Goal Weight: 177
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 165
    Current Nutrition Program/Workout Routine:

    Current Workout -
Personal Trainer 1x weekly for strength training
    Zumba 1x a week
    Walking as much as possible

Nutrition - Eat a decent amount of veggies (esp compared to others on this site!), I eat some red meat but mostly try to stick to chicken/tofu/legumes.

Goals: Feel damn good. Thinking about the choices I make and if they will make me feel good long term or not. Work on getting back to my weekly TRX and cycling classes. Getting yoga in at least 1x a week even if for 15 minutes. Reducing gluten (especially bread like items) and dairy. Cooking more and trying out new recipes from my favorite cookbooks. Prioritizing sleep and meditation to reduce stress and feel more centered.

My Motivation: Feeling good. Knowing what I put in my body and what I do to take care or not care of myself will impact how I function on a daily basis. My year (especially summer) has been full of lots of changes and stress so I'm looking forward to taking more time for myself to do the things that bring me joy and make me feel healthy, energized and good.

Imelda, I love this!...and I can relate. Quick question. What ix TRX? Also, if cycling is anything like spin classes then I just want to say I LOVE them...when I used to do them. Kudos to you for eating tons of greens...I for sure need to do that as well.

    Here's a video about TRX https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gagl23KZs0U

I live in a major metropolitan area and it's a big thing here I would say. My trainer and I did a little on Tuesday and it was great getting more support than in a class. We did just 2 arm exercises and my arms were noodles, but she training me hard on my arms during our session. I'm surprised I like it, but it's great that you use your own body weight to adjust for how challenging you make it.

And yes, I think the cycling class is essentially spin, but it's not called spin. You probably need to be certified in that specific class to offer it, but the cycling is pretty challenging as I really like this one particular instructor :)

It's funny to see we have several folks here who are office managers, including myself!

I feel like I'm getting back on track this week. I met with my nutritionist on Thursday and I was doing great with my sleep since being on vacation last week, etc. I'll be working on:
    • including some fish oil supplements in my diet
    • trying a new recipe each week
    • getting my H2O back to where it was (90 oz a day)
    • coming up with a morning ritual where I ease into the day
    • ditching the electronics & phone in the bedroom at night
    • tracking my food again

I was really happy that when I came back from vacation I didn't gain much, except maybe a lb. I like to think that all my walking at theme park and around the city helped keep off the carbs and such I had.

I'll be going on a walk later and getting yoga in, plus foam rolling after I get my hair done :)

NICE! and quite interesting. I was on the admin side. Director of Finance...financial aid, expenses, operations stuff. I started my DBA but didn't finish. If I can get back into higher ed I think I'd like to get a PhD in Higher Education Administration/Leadership/Policy...or something related. I'm patiently waiting for an adjunct position to open up :D [/quote]

Ah! Good luck! I say, "Go for it!" The world of higher ed is crazy but it definitely has its rewards!

    Occupation: High School Math Teacher
    Age: 55
    Height: 5'6"
    Starting Weight: 179.8 lbs
    Current Weight: 150.1 lbs
    Challenge Goal Weight: 132.5 lbs
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 132.5 lbs
Current Nutrition Program/Workout Routine: I use many of the Medifast meals. I do not follow the Medifast plan, I count calories (1200 calories a day) but I do eat the Medifast foods because they have only 110 calories and the macros of them are perfect for the macros I have found work best for me. (35% carbs, 25% fat and 40% protein). I then try to eat lots of protein and veggies to get to 1200 calories.
My workout goal is continue to do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred video 5 days a week. I was only on level 2 when I got sick and stopped. Plan to start again tomorrow.
Goals: To feel confident in the way I look when I do things with my husband and son, to enjoy shopping for clothes with my daughters, and to have the energy to do both of these things.
My Motivation: Next summer our family is going on a cruise. I want to feel good walking around in shorts and swimsuits. At one of the ports my husband and I hope to plan a vow renewal ceremony for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Lynn, if a vow renewal isn't motivation I don't know what is! YOU CAN DO THIS! I just LOVE that 30 Day Shred video...I can't say that enough. True story. My doctor that delivered my son was heavy-set the entire time during my pregnancy up until delivery through the six weeks checkup. When I went to see her the following year at my annual I did not recognize her. She literally scared me and she told me she scared most of her older patients...LOL! Well come to find out, she said she was nearly 300 lbs and had lost over half that by doing the Medifast meals. She said she didnt have time to exercise, understandably so, but she looked AWESOME! She said she gained all that weight in med school. Anyway, just wanted to share. GOOD LUCK!

Thank you for support. I usually get criticism and woos when I mention I use Medifast foods, so I was hesitant to talk about it. But it is working great for me, and I am still counting calories, watching my macros and exercising.
I can't say I love the Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred video because it kicks by b**t when I do it, but I feel myself getting stronger each time I do it.
So excited for this challenge, I hope to hit my final weight goal during this challenge. Then on to maintenance which makes me very very nervous.
Let's go every one, WE CAN DO.IT!

I am doing this one week late. I have read through the other posts and you are an awesome bunch with interesting jobs and life stories. I am happy to be part of this group.

    About Me:

    Name: Paulina
    Occupation: Localization Manager

(Usually nobody knows what localization is. Localization is a process of adapting a product into a foreign language and foreign market. Like your phone in Chinese. Or your gaming console in German. It has lots of parts to it - some are technical, some are pure language translation. I am in High Tech, to make it simple.)

    Age: 40
    Height: 5 ft 7 inches
    Current Weight: 138
    Challenge Goal Weight: 134
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 130

    Current Nutrition Program/Workout Routine:
Calorie and exercise logging in MFP (CI/CO), 80s aerobics videos (Gilad, Jane Fonda), Runtastic workout apps (Butt Trainer, Six Pack), Toning Station (resistance training using rubber bands you put on your door), jogging with my dog, bicycling with my husband, bodyboarding, yoga videos (Ekhart Yoga), swimming (Master's Swim), lots of walking.

Goals: My goal is to start working out every day for 30 minutes, walking not included. I am not worried about having a day of rest because my workouts are not that long and I do a lot of different things, so my muscle groups get to rest. My biggest challenge is consistency and discipline. I have gone through several periods of obsession with some kind of sport but then slipped back to stress eating and working out very little. More than weight loss, I care about becoming a different person. A person who has a healthier routine every day, doesn't have real big "cheat" days, months or years, and is consistently staying fit and slim. It is particularly important now that I am 40. Everything is an uphill battle.

My Motivation: My son. And vanity. My son because I want to inspire him to have healthy habits from the start and to understand how the human body functions and what it needs to stay healthy and attractive. There are so many obese children around that I want to set the right example from the start. Vanity because I used to have the perfect body when I was 17. I did a lot of sports but it had more to do with genetics, thanks Mom. I've squandered a lot of it and want to show my gratitude to nature by being the most attractive version of myself at 40. And I like to look good in nice clothes.

Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be apart of this group, thanks for having me :)

    Name: Becca
Occupation: Onboarding Manager at a Tech Company
    Age: 27
    Height: 5'2"
    Current Weight: 154.5
    Challenge Goal Weight: 140

Current Nutrition Program/Workout Routine: I eat mostly paleo since I have a lot of dietary restrictions. I do some crossfit style training and lots of hiking!
Goals: Just want to feel more confident in my body. I went from being a competitive athlete to having a pretty sedentary lifestyle. I want to get back into a place where I feel comfortable again.
My Motivation: My company goes to Cabo every January and nothing is more weird then being in a bathing suit around your coworkers and then add not feeling comfortable in one on top of that!

    My posts keep disappearing. Ugh.

    Occupation: Receptionist/Biller for an Optometrist
    Age: 50
    Height: 5 4
Current Weight: 160.8 (when I left for vacation)
    Challenge Goal Weight: 150
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 140-142
Current Nutrition Program/Workout Routine: CI/CO. I do a combination of walking, jogging and a modified version of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred level one. Basically I do her routine but more reps and heavier weights as it gets easy.
Goals: To continue being active and confident in what my body will do.
My Motivation: Keeping up with my husband is one. We have a lot of outdoor activities that we enjoy and he pushes me sometimes when I just want to sit and watch movies! Vanity is the other. I want to look as good as possible as I age.
