    Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

    I'm sure we'll hear how it's using the latest cutting-edge science to help you lose faster and keep the weight off.

    Or...at least you'll have to buy a bunch of new stuff from WW to follow the new plan.

    Every new plan is a marketing opportunity. The question is what came first the marketing or the new plan.

    I imagine most WW customers don't stay around long enough to experience the changes in plans. For those of us in it for the long term it is a pain. Then again. WL all comes down to consume less calories than you burn.

    Maybe it'll shake it up. That'll often times result as a byproduct and you'll lose.
    You usually need to recalibrate your eyeballs with a new plan.

    People have lost over 20% more on their new plan than with their old plan. They said so. In their commercial!

    /*end cynical comment

    Eventually, they're going to come full-circle and end up with the original WW plan (from the 60's). :) Or they'll become a full-fledged low-carb "diet".

    <WARNING: Rant ahead>

    I saw Oprah (NOT one of my favorite people in the first place) on the 2000th episode of the Rachael Ray show yesterday. The show was SUPPOSED to be a celebration of Rachael Ray and her success. It quickly turned into an opportunity for Oprah to pat herself on the back. Oddly enough, she didn't mention WW at all. Instead, she touted her new book, her new line of pre-packaged foods, and her recent appearance on 60 Minutes (which I haven't watched yet).

    And she didn't look like she had lost much weight to me.
    <end rant>

    Funny, I noticed at WWers today signs that calculators On SALE $5. The clerk was pushing items on the lady weighing in before me. Sad to think they may be obsolete in January.

    On the plus side I embraced the last change to SP and Beyond the Scale in 2015. I’ll take a “wait and see” attitude for now.

    Yeah they always seem to do some tweaks every year and then every few years make the old calculators worthless. True. Not concerned.

    Compared to the PP plan, I haven't had great results on this plan. I don't seem to lose as fast. I hope they go back to something closer to PP! And even if they don't, I'm ready for something, anything, new. ... Remind me that I said this if I complain about the new plan

    We can look back, and it seems like a two year cycle.

    I drifted away from tracking with WW this past February 2017 and started tracking kcals mainly because I started working with a dietitian at my Hospital and was doing fine till mentally I jumped ship in the last few weeks and no I'm not sure why. I continued to read below in the comments from the article and my guess is since WW is a for profit co they will be adding more pre-packaged products or dinners thinking that is the way the public is headed. Due to most people having a fast paced lifestyle or microwave lifestyle and wanting everything on a now basis I'm agreeing with one of the people making a comment that they are a for profit co and they really do have to keep reinventing themselves or go by the wayside. Not sure what to expect but we will know in a month or so. I'm still an online paying member.

    Here we go again . If we go...it's all about choices, right?

    Kim, yes, it IS all about choices. We have at least one lady in our meeting that stayed with PP, as it was working for her.

    True it is about choices. 3 months into SP my choice was to cancel my monthly pass.

    Yup. Another chance to sell a bunch of stuff.

    Oprah may not have lost much weight on WW but she has made a boatload of dough.

    @linmueller Good to see you post! I missed my Thursday WI Partner. My last Thursday Tai Chi class is 2 Nov, I'll be back to Thursday WIs after that.

    @imastar2 Derrick I agree with you..."they will be adding more pre-packaged products or dinners thinking that is the way the public is headed."

    Ha! Some of us still follow Core. How long has it been since that plan was available??

    I think pretending a package of M&Ms is nearly half my daily intake with SmartPoints is obscene. I'm not a child and I don't like being unnecessarily penalized for my choices which is why I switched to calories where 210 calories seems entirely reasonable for a treat. If the new plan loosens the reigns a bit and allows for eating APs again I may be more likely to be swayed.

    I agree. I was cruising along on PP when the math and targets was changed. Suddenly the same successful eating was always over my points. The intent to force certain changes was effectively narrowing choices and created more of a diet plan feel, not a lifestyle plan. I understand the loss of the fiber bonus, but the excessive penalty on sugar was crazy. NF Milk suddenly became a bit pricey

    And now you know WHY I've stuck with the Core plan for so long. Seriously? Making non-fat milk pricey?? That's NATURAL sugar. I can (sort of) understand putting higher points value on things where sugar is ADDED, but using the same "formula" for something where sugar is naturally-occurring? How about fruit which is LOADED with sugar?

    Gimme me a break.

    I was on WW three years when the changed to SPs. I have lost about a pound a week following SPs and think cutting down on sugar helped me as s T2D. I got off all Rx meds for my Type 2 Diabetes it’s now under control through my diet and exercise.
    Curious about what changes are coming.

    Bumped to get updates on rumors?

    I attended my WW meeting today and the Ldr was coy about upcoming changes. She said WW Inc won’t let her tell us but she seemed to imply the changes would be big. Sounded like changes to the App are coming.

    Anyone else heard any rumors!

    FYI
    Saw some posts on WW Connect about chicken and beans being 0 SP as part of new plan. I’ll wait to hear the official WW announcement but wanted to share,

    AND today 11/13 Connect launched capability to post videos on Connect.

    Extroverts are ecstatic

    That'll probably squelch my participation. I can barely load still pics, let alone video...

    Read that the new WW Plan was released in UK. That is where people are getting the sneak peek.

    Heard the US release date is 3 Dec.
