Hey there! I'm looking forward to being in this group/challenge. I need to lose some weight by Jan 1st. I have to fit into a dress that I have in my closet. I lost a ton of weight, but some of it found its way back home this past year. I'm ready for it to go and get back into my exercise routine. Let the fun begin.3

Hi all! Angie here. Live in Austin, TX and this is my first challenge. Have been using MFP for the last few years through my weight loss journey and always do better when tracking and holding myself accountable. Look forward to the challenge and supporting each other!

Hello all, My name is Kaye and this will be my 2nd UAC. I did the October one (still going) and loving it. Had a few days, I didn't think I would make it, but pushed myself. So far so good. Going to do the November challenge too. I have lost a total of 64 lbs, and just hit Onderland. (my profile does not show that weight loss, for I was here a few years go and lost some of it, didn't gain it but am back now to lose the rest) My goal is to get to 150 pounds. It is lots easier for me to do now, but losing weight was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I am a diabetic, which makes it even harder. I do have an open food diary to all.
Welcome all the new faces and good luck with the challenge. I find it helps to stay accountable.4 -
Hi all. I'm Dawn. I'm a 47 yr old sole parent and I live in Australia. I'm new to MFP but not to weight loss. I lost 57kgs just over 10 years ago. I've recently gained 28kgs back and now it's time to kick it to the curb again. I look forward to making some friends and enjoying the accountability of this group.3

Hello Everyone,
I'm Terry and also new to this challenge. I lost about 20 lbs last spring, but somehow most of the lost pounds have crept back on. I'm hoping this challenge will keep me accountable as suggested.
Thanks for setting this challenge up. I look forward to participating.3 -
I'm Rachel, married, two kids, and live in California. Glad to be here. I've been on MFP for almost two years and love it. I've lost 40 pounds and am almost at goal weight, but have been stalled for the past year or so. I suppose I'd be considered a maintainer, but I really would like to get these last 5 pounds off and keep them off. I log every day, and exercise at least five days a week. Somehow my cheat days (which really aren't too excessive) throw me off track. Even though I get right back on plan the next day, I gain 2 or 3 pounds with every cheat day, and it takes me a week to get those pounds off. It's a never ending cycle. After resisting for months, I've realized I need to try something new, and I recently lowered my calorie threshold to 1200 per day. So far, it's going ok. Looking forward to being accountable and meeting new folks!2

Hi all, I'm pleased to be part of this challenge. I live in rural SW France with my partner, 2 dogs and (sadly only now) 2 cats. I am aiming to get leaner and lose approx 20kg, but will review when I get close. I am following a low-carb regime as it seems to suit me. I also want to improve my fitness and flexibility. My exercise will mainly be walking (with or without dog) and Pilates &/or some yoga.2

Good morning. I'm Christine. I've been struggling off and on with my weight for a few years now. I got certified as a trainer a few years back, more so for me than to train anyone, but I have my own struggles keeping myself in check. I'm coming up to the big 5-0 in November and would really just love to feel comfortable in my skin -- whatever that weight may be. I'm the trainer who needs a trainer. I've tried MFP briefly before but now I really want to take advantage of challenges, be open to learning, be accountable and lean on the support of others. A new chapter begins!3

Hi Everyone I am really looking forward the "one day at a time" accountability!3

Hey! I'm Heather. I've been pretty lazy with my diet and exercise recently, so I'm hoping this challenge will help me get back on track! This will be my first challenge too, so I'm excited to see how it goes!2

Hello! I was looking for a group to help me with motivation, and this one may well be it. I’ve been floundering for most of this year trying to lose 15 to
18 lbs and I really want to stop floundering and start succeeding. I’m excited to get started in a few days.1 -
Hello everyone! I'm Hibah and I'm 23. I started using MFP years ago but stopped after I developed an ED. After recovery, I still haven't formed a healthy relationship with food and exercise yet. I need to get healthier and into the healthy weight range for my height. Looking to lose 30lbs but the RIGHT way this time. I have never done a challenge or joined a group. I'm excited and I hope I can keep up!5

Emilio is actually the name I've given my stomach/belly. I'm Craig or Craigers as my friends would like to call me. I'm about 15-20 pounds from my goal weight and feel that this would help. I'm 40 and love to lift weights by the way. Nice to meet you all!5

I need to join. Fall is tough for me. I tend to hibernate if I'm not being held accountable.3

Hi my name is Kim. I am a special education teacher in Massachusetts. I had reached my goal weight several years ago, but after a number of injuries (and an ankle surgery) I have gradually gained back about 10lbs. I've been struggling with fatigue and motivation lately, and really need to get back on track and back to my happy weight. It's been frustrating because I know what I need to do. I can't figure out why I'm just not doing it. This sounds like just the right challenge to help me get myself back on track.3

hi guys! my name is christine, and i am definitely looking to drop some serious weight (25 lbs at least). i gained it all in the last 3 months because i just recently started grad school and have been too busy that i haven't been exercising and basically only eating fast food. i hope this helps!!!!3

Hi everyone! All of the positive comments from past members really inspired me to join. I've been using MFP for about a month and I love it. My name is Tee and I'm ready to hold myself completely accountable and stop the yo-yo dieting. I am always losing and gaining the same 8-10 pounds and it wreaks havoc on me mentally. I eat healthy, meal prep weekly. workout daily, but somehow fall victim to junk food (sweets) once I reach my goal weight and then the cycle starts all over again. I just recently started tracking my macros and it has changed my life!!! I'm hoping that with support and macronutrient tracking that I will be able to lose and then maintain and feel happy and healthy inside and out! No more yo-yo'ing is my ultimate goal. I'm ready for the challenge this month!3

Hello all. This makes my forth month for the challenge. The day I found this challenge I was very frustrated with myself. Because of fatigue due to an illness, a broken bone in my rotator cuff and lastly a bout with plantar fasciitis I found myself close to 30 lbs heavier than I should /want to be. In the past 3 months I have lost half of my goal weight but more importantly because of this accountability challenge I have incorporated regular exercise along with my calorie counting routine. I have more energy during the day, more flexibility and a lot more stamina. I look forward to exercise now. Just knowing I am going to log in and be accountable to someone else is so motivating.
Thanks to all of the members. Reading of your successes despite your difficulties helps me to cope with my own. Reading of your struggles helps me see I'm not alone. As mentioned before our leader @RangerRickL as well as @craigo3154 are amazing. I'm so happy Rick has kept this group going,4 -
Hello, I am back for another month of trying! Thank goodness I never give up!! I'm Carl and this month I'm playing around a little more with my macros. I did super well last year losing with low carb but I've been eating a lot of things I shouldn't. I'm going back to counting my carbs and we'll see what happens.
Looking forward to a new month!!2 -
Hi everyone, My name is Priscilla and I live on Vancouver Island British Columbia. I am returning to this group after having a terrible October. For me attitude is everything. I have had to deal with some issues that people should never have to deal with and unfortunately I let it bring me down. I am working on bringing myself back up and I know this group can help me do that as I can not control what happens in life but I CAN control how I deal with it, no more using food as in the long run it only made me feel worse.....I will stay positive, happy and in control and will need your help to keep me there............looking forward to November........2

Hi there! I’m Michelle. I’m on my last 10lbs to lose, yet it seems I’ve been trying for the last 2 years going up and down with it. I know when I track my food it helps me stay on target immensely. I have trouble exercising regularly because of joint condition. It helps me to stay moving and hurts when I’m not. I hate exercising though lol! I love challenges and hope the daily accountability will keep me focused.3

I'm Charlene. Trying to find a balance between school, work, losing weight and life.3

Hello everyone, I am JB and I have lost 30 pounds last year but regained 20 of them over the last couple of month so I am trying to refocus. I have used Weight Watcher in the past but it did not help me with portion control. I am hoping this challenge will help me refocus.3

Hi! I'm Öykü or Oyku. I live in Diyarbakır (at southeastern part of Turkey). Although my health has been compromised for years by my excessive weight,it was only 2 months ago that I decided to adress the issue, after witnessing a year of localized city war/massacre in which my own house got destroyed. Getting that close to death made me want to live healthier. I'm trying to shed more than 50 pounds while struggling with insulin resistence and hypothroidism (both of which mess with your metabolism). So there is a long way ahead of me. I found and joined the UAC last month. It's been a tremendous help. All these great and dedicated people here makes me more determined. Most days I went for a walk or took a trip to the pool because in the evening I had to come here and account for my exercise. It's been a great journey and I'm sure it will continue like that.
By the way, feel free to add me or message me if you'd like to chat or ask anything.5 -
Hello, I'm Cindy. Let's do this4

Hi ! I’m Heather and I’m from Chicago . I struggle staying motivated to be healthy. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease ( thyroid disease ) in my late 20s and it’s been an uphill battle since . My metabolism doesn’t function as well and my energy levels are often low, but I know if I can really get going and make healthy choices I can get to where I’d like to be. I’m not severely overweight , but I don’t want it to get out of control. Best of luck to everyone and I’m glad to be here !!3
-
Corina, sounds like a perfect challenge. I can't control when or how much I lose, but I can control my food and exercise. Food is ok, hoping this challenge will help me be accountable for exercise.
