I saw some tweets about that -- pretty ironic!0

Well, let's be fair - his family is pre-disposed to it, and it runs in the male side of his family...0

....so it's even more puzzling that he did not have a CAC scan or other imaging study to evaluate his coronary arteries, like others of us in the same boat?2 -
Is there anything that says he hasn't....? (Genuine question, just asking)0

Ironic, but too bad. I hope he has a fast recovery.

The AHA seems to mostly about fixing heart disease and not preventing it. It looks like he's done some good there. He also helped in the antismoking movement which always lowers CAD risks.
Its just a shame that the "heart healthy" diet that the AHA promotes is not actually backed up by good, solid science.

Ironic, much, no?1 -
Again, yes, family history, but all that low fat nonsense cannot possibly help, especially when he mentions "get your cholesterol tested so you know where you stand..." But "don't ignore dizzy spells when working out" combined with the recommendation for regular testing seems the takeaway here....
That and not to compromise on gym safety protocols/equipment/training of personnel in how to use it!!!!1
