For one, there's no guarantee that the amounts are even correct. Who determines how many calories, fat, protein, etc. is found in our foods? Two, are the numbers exact or are they allowed a margin of error? What is the margin of error? That lick of sour cream @UpstateKaren had may have had more or less then 3 calories. It may not have even registered.
Just something to keep in mind.
Good point, @MmamabearR. I think there’s something like a 10% allowed variance in food labels? I weigh things that are calorie dense. I never put lettuce on a food scale.1 -
I am liking the See How You Eat picture food diary. It’s pretty easy to use.
I don’t normally eat lunch so late.

Is this an app on your phone?
I have to admit, I'm really struggling with tracking my food this week. It is like I tried so hard to change things in my life last year and had so much stress to get through that I've crashed! Trying hard to pick myself up, brush myself off and keep moving forward. Today is a new day, right?!5 -
I checked out the app in the Play Store and it looks neat but probably won't do me much good with my current phone. It's horrible and I can't wait til I get a new one. I wonder if the app is tablet friendly.2

Looks like the Joseph and Joseph Tri Scale. Let me know if this is it @PinkyPan1. I have no counter space left in my kitchen so this will work perfectly.
Very similar would do the trick but that is not available. I found this one on amazon....https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GPZKYA4/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=11 -

I am going to check this out. Thanks Ladies.2 -
Re: the link on Amazon shown by @prgirl39mfp for the folding scale, it says, "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
Here's one on Amazon which I think may be the one shown by @PinkyPan1

Ya I'll have to look into that app. I've been tracking pretty well all week but I'm fighting the urge to buy lunch today instead of eating a lentil loaf I made for lunches!!3

Is it out of stock because of this group?

@OConnell5483, yes, it’s available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play. It looks like they have two apps: “See How You Eat“ and “See How You Eat – Coach 80/20” (paid version). Here’s a screenshot of the app in the App Store
Regarding not feeling the love for food logging this week, it happens. Sometimes our weekly challenges are out of sync with our ability or desire to do them that week. I remember last year when you were flat out with your old job, before you switched jobs. There were times you did the challenges a week or so after we did, because that was the only time you could come up for air. For all of our newcomers, that’s always a possibility... doing the challenges after we do them. Of course, the downside is there may not be as much interaction and daily support. But generally speaking, we do chime in on older threads.

The one Pinky suggested is even less in price. I had a gift card on my Amazon account and I was able to buy the Joseph and Joseph one. I have no idea why the link says not available.
Today I feel super bloated, taking easy. I like the app because I am seeing the food and I can make a visual comparison and deduct how much I am eating of what. Makes sense?
I am not loving logging my food right now but I am committed to do it. My goal is to be as accountable as I can be here, in my groups and on the app.

I love my digital scales, has become such a habit now, they went' missing' for a few minutes a few weeks ago, I thought my right arm had been cut off!3

I just saw this challenge right now haha I haven't been in this group in a while but I think completing challenges week by week sounds like a great idea. I have actually been tracking my food intake now for like 60 days, and I have logged in my food every single day this week so far it has become a regular habit for me now.5

How's everyone doing today? My week was slowww getting back to work after a holiday break lol
Today I tracked even though I went over my goal... still under maintenance with my exercise so it's not terrible lol4 -
I've tracked all week, so far. I start back to work Monday, that's when it gets difficult..I was showing my daughter how to track the peanut butter by placing the jar on the scale..good luck to everyone.4

I'm a big fan of food logging! For me, that is what has provided the magic to get my eating on track. That being said, I get that starting to log is tough. Since I've been on MFP for years I have most of the things I eat already in a tab or recipe.
I absolutely love my food scale. But I'm a nerdy weirdo who likes playing with such toys. Fortunately, my family also likes to play with the scale.
Of course, this week my logging has been weak because I'm dealing with the flu. This is frustrating because I like starting the New Year strong. However, it just means I get to start the year a bit late.5 -
@77tes hope you get well soon.
Today I logged it all. I am celebrating 40 days of logging and that is quite the accomplishment. I had a record of 910 once and I plan to do it again. Motivation to log is not there but I do it. Keeps me accountable.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend.7 -

I only discovered this a few weeks ago, lightbulb moment lol.... Wish I had thought of it years ago!!!4
