I’m going to use this forum I started to re-focus my efforts in 2018. I managed to stay around my low plus 10 lbs so it has not been all doom and gloom since I stopped posting. I just feel I’m now ready to continue on my journey to reach the next leg down towards my goal weight of 175.00. I’m ready now to recommit to a more focused Intermittent fasting cycle and log my progress here. See ya tomorrow!0

ROUND #001 (2017 EOY Re-set/Re-sync)
✅ 12/29 9:00P > 12:00A (03 HRS)
✅ 12/30 12:00A > 12:00A (24 HRS)
✅ 12/31 12:00A > 1:00P (13 HRS)
RESULT: 40 HOURS 210.60
I started my refocus on the last few days of 2017 in order to get a head start leading into the new year. I have modified my original OMAD plan to include a more extended Intermittent fast that goes from 23 hours of a typical OMAD plan to a full 38 Hours IF followed by one or MAYBE two meals consisting of a more KETO mix of foods with a greater focus on protein intake and near elimination of carbs.

ROUND #002 (New Year/Rose Bowl)
✅ 12/31 5:00P > 12:00A (07 HRS)
✅ 01/01 12:00A > 12:00A (24 HRS)
✅ 01/02 12:00A > 1:00P (13 HRS)
TOTAL: 44 HOURS* 207.00
This round was a little more difficult to maneuver as I was dealing with New Years Eve plus a trip to the Rose Bowl. In the end I prevailed and due to red eye flights I had to extend my fast to a full 44 Hours which is longer than I wanted. I ended the fast by refueling with a nice 12 Oz Sirloin followed by 2 6 Oz burgers with cheese later in the day.0 -
ROUND #003 (1st Day Back to Work)
✅ 01/02 6:00P > 12:00A (06 HRS)
✅ 01/03 12:00A > 12:00A (24 HRS)
✅ 01/04 12:00A > 08:00A (08 HRS)
TOTAL: 38 HOURS 205.60
Back to work and back to the grind. I successfully completed my 3rd round with great success and I’m about to end the 38 hour fast with a nice sized T-Bone with melted cheese. Off to a good start in 2018 and already less than 10lbs away from my 2017 low.

ROUND #004 (Too Many Carbs/Too Many Calories)
✅ 01/04 9:00P > 12:00A (03 HRS)
✅ 01/05 12:00A > 12:00A (24 HRS)
✅ 01/06 12:00A > 10:00A (10 HRS)
TOTAL: 37 HOURS FASTED 206.40
A successful Round 4 of (37) consecutive fasted hours in the books with plenty of learning points along the way. I’m grateful for the discipline to complete this round.
First off after my last round I broke the fast with a nice steak but followed up with a second meal later in the day that was more CARB dense and one that exceeded my normal calorie intake.
Another thing I did differently which I will try to avoid is extending my eating window. I need to target completion of around 6:00P instead I strung it out to 9:00P. I’ve got to tighten that window up.
I will not make the same mistakes today after breaking my fast at 10:00A. I will try to stick to a more zero carb approach today with my one or two meals and keep my calories in check.
After a day of refueling I will look forward to starting Round 5 at 6:00P tonight with a target end of 8:00A Monday morning.
NOTE: I have trouble sleeping on FAST days and found on Reddit that Magnesium citrate should help that. Ordered some right away.0 -
Careful linking a bunch of longer fasts together. Should be fine for short term but I don't think that might be good long-term. Just my opinion.0

I would also caution on doing too much fasting for a prolonged period of time, rather than short sporadic bursts. About six months ago I found that I needed a break after having done regular fasting for several months. My thought is to try to stay closer to what is ultimately a sustainable pattern, otherwise it could get frustrating.
Just my opinion though, listen to your body and chart your course.
Nice to see you posting again, and good luck with your journey.0 -

So if I figured this out right you've fasted for 232 hours out of 312 hours/13 days...So basically you've only eaten 3 out of 13 days? WOW that is some will power right there and I could never do it...How are you feeling and how much longer are you going to do this?0
-
Well I just look at it as eating “every other” day. I eat (3) steaks one day, finishing up around 6:00P and then fast for the next 38 hours (skipping food for a day) and then starting up again at 8:00A the day after. So really more like in 14 days I would have eaten on 7 of the days and fasted for the other 7 (ADF). On the days I do eat I consume around 3,100 CALS on average so it’s close to 1,600 daily.0

Is the steak the only thing your eating?0

Another carnivore!1

ADF round 8 is now history. I’m going to break this fast with a nice Ribeye and then follow it up with a couple of T-bones before kicking off ADF round 9 at 6:00P. So thankful for the great progress. #ADF #IntermittentFasting #ZeroCarb #carnivore
