During the last year, I have surprised myself by learning how to add rope jumping (skipping) to my exercise routine. You can use any type of rope that works for you. Here is a introductory jumping video by the founder of Crossrope. They sell premium quality (and price ) ropes/handles/ and sets.
It is really helping me to use the rope as the cardio-blast intervals in my workouts.

I have posted a youtube video on rope jumping (skipping). During the last year, I surprised myself by adding ropes to my cardio-interval day workouts. I really like the way that I can control my speed and time. The ropes are allow me to keep myself safe and still achieve an anaerobic state after a few intervals.
I hope you consider the idea of using ropes to improve your routine.

@RangerRickL, I’m with you, there. I love incorporating skipping rope intervals in my circuit training. It gets the heart rate up and really increases the intensity of the workout. Very good anaerobic exercise.0

I’m a few days behind for my reports. Sorry! We were at some ski events and my partner was competing, so I was distracted. I am his designated cheerleader, after all!

A couple of pictures from Wednesday. The Minneapolis area received about 30 cm of snow, on Tuesday. I did a 30 minute walk, through some light fluffy ungroomed snow—what a great workout!

I am so inconsistent in this accountability group to the point of being a total fiasco.
Hey but where else can I use fiasco in a sentence?
I got me a new place for doing hill repeats. It is better than going around the block in my neighborhood. You seen how weird a pattern that is. This place give me about 1200 feet or so of climb. I can get more out of it now that I got a plan. That whole thing is on a hill. It climbs in the southward direction. In the future I am going to focus on that right side leg. Do that for repeats. There is some snow and ice but not as bad as my canyon digs.
I lost one of my little buddies today. Not Buddy, uppercase B, but one of my little buddies. I can't say his name on the internet that would be too weird.
But we threw him a party. I bought him a Thomas Train. He loves that stuff. We told him it was his birthday. I don't know if he "gets" that it was a going away party. Some of our kids don't "get" birthdays but we party them just the same. That is how that is.
My eyes are getting a little bit watery thinking about this.
That little guy, he don't got a regular family. Something went wrong and he ended up with the Fosters.
If I could have my way that little guy would grow up knowing a stable love.
I wish I could do it. Heck I am old though. Heh, think about me being 75 and having an Autistic teenager.
I seen some staff doing a good job of hiding their watery eyes today though.
We love our little buddies.
Yes x 3 but I will admit that I got a beer in one hand and a shot in the other.

Yes x3. I guess I am becoming the exercise leader at work. I am now walking with everyone. The beginner's who can barely walk to the people training for the big leagues who are going for indurance so they have talked me into assisting. I shall walk no matter what let's see how long everyone lasts. I think my beginner walkers will stay more consistent than the advanced group.4

My posting isn't the best but I'm eating right and tracking consistently. Have not missed a workout yet. Had a great quick ski day on Wednesday. Bus up and back (3 hours each way) 7 hours of slope time. Skied about 5 hours of it. I've backed off on any lower body work -- no squats or lunges-- to save my legs for skiing. Added more core and planks. Next week work needs my full attention so no days off to ski
Hugs to you @bocasdelbadbob . You give so much.3 -

I am struggling to check in. I want to do it at the end of the day and then forget.
I did the dog walk and then went for a walk round a park in the north of the valley which I thought was lovely. Then my friend told em about all the scary stuff that happens there after dark. It’s amazing to me that a simple park can have polar opposite patrons from night to day, but I do live in crazy town.
I also went for orientation to do some volunteer work. Not sure it’s for me, I will have to think long and hard about it1 -
Exercise? yes, swam 900 meters.
Tracked food? yes
