Went climbing today for 1100 or so calories.
Got some PR's according to Strava. But that is kind of funny because when you are first out in new territory everything you do is going to be a new personal record.
I didn't get a PR on the first hill repeat though.
I seen something in the top of a cedar tree as I was riding up. What is that? I kept closing in on it.
Dang! It is a Golden Eagle and it doesn't seem to be too perturbed by my presence.
I am going to take a picture! The sun is right behind it so I move up the hill a tad.
I get out my smartphone and what the heck? It is on a boot screen! My smartphone is rebooting.
Ok well, that bird ain't perturbed maybe it will wait for my phone to boot up.
So phone gets all booted up. I get the camera screen, pull it up to my face, try and get a zoom to that cedar tree, the dang bird has flown!
Well that counts as adventurous.
First descent my hat blew off. Had to stop. No PR for that descent.
But the second hill repeat was a nonstop climb, turn around and descent.
Descent. The fun part. 2.47 miles in 7 minutes. That ain't fast like a motorcycle but it is fun on a bike.
Heh, some fancy bike guys passed me and my mountain bike on the second repeat.
Heh, those guys get off their bikes and carry them for cattle guards. But I guess I ain't got room to laugh. They are faster than me. I think this afternoon I am going to rig up my skinny tire bike and see if I can get me some all new PR's on the next ride.
I put a picture what the sky look like. Kind of a crabby morning but it ended pretty.

Exercise OK and had a good time wandering around a local market. Over on calories again today, but determined to get back on track tomorrow and have a good solid few weeks until we go out for Easter Sunday lunch at a local restaurant.3

I have celiac disease, so no gluten for me, so waffles are a no go...unless I were to use a specialty mix of flours...but one waffle also means two or three to me...so it is nice to be able to indulge "Virtually." Nice pic of your family Rick!
Exercise, yes. Finally getting some endurance back in the pool. Swam 600 meters, but was very tired. I had a planned work out of 1,000 meters. Getting in t he pool with my coach today at the venue of the race on Saturday...wanting to swim there to get a feel for it.

My family loves when I make waffles. I do use flour that I mill fresh from organic wheat grain. The calories are still there, but it gets a little more fiber and nutrition and, like w8goal4life, we use the pure maple syrup. I also love to add some blueberries into the batter. All this talk of waffles, I think I will be making some for the family next Saturday!3 -
@lemmyhead and @holly, hope you both feel better soon! It's been a tough flu/cold year, but it eventually passes.
@amichele, those long shifts on the floor are exhausting. Hope you can engage in some good self-care, you deserve it!

Calories: nooope, I'm out of the circle now. But I'm still gonna keep trucking. even though I've used MFP for years and have kept a good amount of weight off, this first month with UAE has been very eye opening! Pretty clear to see where my vulnerability is.5 -
