@tammyfranks2 you will be so happy that you took these pics in a few months. On days when I’m feeling defeated, I pull out my before photos to see how far I’ve come.2

Congrats on the 15lb loss! Great job1

I truly, really have no desire to become vain, but at the same time, it is so strange and yet so exciting to actually be able to wear stylish clothes and to feel like I'm actually somewhat attractive - to look at the person in the mirror and think they actually look nice instead of being ashamed and cringing! I've been obese for so long that even when I dressed up to try to look nice, I hated seeing my reflection because I felt like I was painting a cow.
I took my mother out to dinner and a movie, and we stopped at Gabes where I bought the jacket in the pics below as well as a skirt and a couple of tops. When I came out with the skirt on, my mother comments "you have a butt!" which is her way of saying "you have a shape!" After the movie, I went into to a store to get us some drinks while she waited in the truck, and when I came out, she commented "you've gotten prissy." I tried to blame my new high-heeled boots and they make me walk more "girly" but she says that no, that I'm walking "like a woman" instead of the way I usually walk.
She means I actually looked feminine tonight, and it threw her, I think I think she actually really realized I had lost a lot of weight! It felt really nice, though, to be able to feel feminine, even if only for a little while - after all, I'm still a tom boy and have no desire to dress up all the time lol
I also bought the fedora tonight as well because I'm developing a fondess for hats

and 1 more because I'm ecstatic about this one!
I bought this dress the last time I lost weight in 2012 or 2013. I had taken my parents to Lancaster and we went to a Celtic festival there. When I bought the dress, I was still unable to wear it, but hung it up in my room for months, intending for it to be motivation to lose enough weight to get into it. But then life happened and I gained the weight back, and ended up putting the dress in the back of my closet.
Back at Christmas I saw that I was getting close to getting into it, and mom challenged me to try it again, so I did. Tonight, the dress fit! Now the top is still a fudge tight for my tastes, but it wasn't pulling across my chest and I could easily slip it on and off by myself, and it hung right, so technically, it fits.
I had a corset on in the pic just to try to hold my muffin top in because of how the dress lays, but my problems before were with how the top fit across the boobs and shoulders - but they weren't stretching the dress tonight, so I think I can finally declare myself into it. I am beside myself on this one! Finally, after 5 years, I got into it! *does a happy dance*

bmeadows360 - way to rock that dress!!0

@bmeadows380 congratulations at getting into the dress. I always say non scale victories outweigh the scale. We can lose lbs and not actually see ourselves any different. But the feeling of wearing something you couldn’t before drives home the fact that what your doing is working0
-
@bmeadows380 you are ROCKING those outfits! Congratulations! I’m officially into all of my “goal” clothing, I need to go buy a goal outfit to work towards this year.0

Thank you all!
My mother also commented that if I keep dressing like that I was going to get hit on, and all I could think is one can only hope! Lol2 -
@bmeadows380 I love the fedora on you! I’m a hat girl myself!0

ok 25 + pounds down and inches down ....2 -
I'm celebrating 50 pounds down (almost 53 today) and 100 days logging this week. You still can't really see, maybe in my face a little, but I'm definitely feeling better. I'm most proud of these accomplishments:
•I've finished 13 days of a 30 day workout! I still hate cardio exercise but I may one day become fond of strength training. I'm looking forward to those workouts more and more.
•I climbed a hill and my knee was okay!
• I am moving around so much easier!
•I bought a new smaller bra and may finally be going down a clothes size soon.
Attached are face pics 410ish and 361.
Here's to the first step on a long journey!4 -
Great job kwiris0328! You’re doing amazing and should be so proud!
I’m really hoping to be able to post befores and during photos soon!
I am so thankful to whoever created this group because I feel comfortable sharing my personal experiences with you without feeling criticized.
You guys are awesome!5 -
kwiris0328 my pics I know no one else can see it , but i can , I stand up taller and not all bent over , so even though only 25+ pounds (i have not weighed in since docs) I feel i can see it , Hubby says he can see it too .
But when I looked at your face pics I thought well yep I see it , cause your smile is bigger , you look happier !! I think it is cool you are working out so much , I am trying to move way more . still scared of walking outside , scared I will fall or not be able to get back . That is just me , being silly I know . so dancing in the house or walking in one spot while watching tv .
cnavarro002 me too love this site and all the people on it are so nice and want to help , not make fun or hurt folks
other sites people are so mean about losing weight . you are awesome too !!!3 -
congratulations to both of you!
I"m also very proud of my sister - I think I told you guys she started calorie counting a while back, but we all didn't really think she'd stick with it? Well, she has stuck with it, 26 days in, and has lost 16 lbs so far. She's super excited, and I'm so happy for her!
This is one area where her 5'1" stature plays in her favor: weight loss shows up much sooner on her than it does on me. She also says she's feeling better, too, and I can see she's not nearly as bloated or swelled (which is probably due to the fact that she's eating more whole foods and less boxed, frozen, and canned dinners).4 -
Here’s my most recent progress pics. I’m wearing jeans! I can wear jeans again! Haha! This is 6 months of calorie counting and walking. Down 60 pounds. No, I’m not breaking any weight loss records. Yes, someone my size could lose a lot faster. But, I’m in this for th long haul, so I’m doing in a way that doesn’t make me miserable.10 -

@Mellykay88 always inspiring! Your eyes are so pretty, and it's becoming more and more obvious!
I haven't been on the boards for a while and am still just chilling around the 30 lb mark, no pics yet for me because at my height, you can't see that. THANK YOU to those who do though! So exciting to see and know how much better everyone is feeling too!2
