I’m so discouraged. I had been feeling pretty good about the way I looked and was working on recomp until Thursday when I went dress shopping. I needed a dress that fit well for an upcoming event. So I was happy because I needed a smaller size than what I have in my closet...then I get into a dressing room with a three way mirror. The HORROR! I definitely need to lose 10lbs before recomp. They should outlaw three way mirrors inside the dressing room. I’m only half joking. I ended up buying a cute dress from a store that had a three way mirror outside the dressing room where you could view yourself after the dress was on your body. Back to deficit for me. :-/2 -

Not the direction I wanted to see the scale going. It was a rough week on the motivation front. I was travelling Saturday & Sunday and again Monday through Wednesday. I didn’t log. I ate cookies at work. I ate salty foods and drank beer. Trying to reset today and get back into being good about food and logging.
As a positive, I’ve been sticking with my workout routine. Currently at a 110 day streak of yoga every day (since Jan 1) and did the first day of Level 3 of the 30 Day Shred yesterday.3 -

I am getting better about staying under my calorie goal each day. (Although there were some bad decisions made regarding baklava last night.) I am aiming to work out 4 times this week and cut more sugar. The sugar is the hardest part - I love pastries and cookies. I like seeing the numbers on the scale drop because it is tangible proof of my hard work, but I also realize that the numbers are going to either stall or go up as I gain muscle mass. I objectively know that I am still making progress even if my weight doesn't go down - but it's always mildly disappointing to not see the numbers get lower.2 -

I was a little scared of how the scale would look because I have had a bad cold during which I had a small love affair with bread and butter comfort food, haha. But it didn't seem to cause major problems. Maybe the fact that I didn't have wine in the evenings balanced things out.1 -

April 22: 159.2 lbs (I don't think I will make my April goal, so I am aiming to try to just stay under the 160s! I will be traveling for work a bit for the next 3 weeks, so my goal is try to still eat healthy while on the road and still work out at the hotels.)

The weather is finally starting to warm up here around the Great Lakes. We were able to enjoy it this weekend and get lots of walking in. Two weeks until we leave for Costa Rica! I'm excited to see how much progress I can make by then.

I haven’t been eating the best on the weekends, and I’m going to New York this weekend so I’m a bit nervous, but oh my god I am essentially at 20 pounds lost and I am so happy.7 -
With this final weigh in this month I have done a full year on the accountability threads since I first joined the May 2017 one. Since then I have lost more than 4% of body fat and dropped 21lbs (approx. 13lbs of which is fat). I am healthier, I feel better, my body confidence has grown. I do think I could have done it without these threads because my journey started when a switch flicked in my head and I realised I had to look after my body, but the threads have been a tremendous help nonetheless and very inspiring. So thank you ladies, you are *kitten* fabulous!
I stood on the scales this morning and it was over a pound higher than I was expecting. Panic moment. Looked at my food diary for yesterday and I unintentionally had a high sodium day. The day before my final weigh in for the month. How bloody careless of me! Had I not I would have beaten my weight target, which I did anyway yesterday and Monday (159.8lbs ), so realistically I am in the 150s. My moving average dropped by 1.7lbs in the last week too, and I have beaten my April body fat goal.

I hit a new low on the scale again last week of 138 before it jumped back up to the 140's on me. My weigh in today matched my average of 140.6. I decided last week that I needed a break from logging for a while. It was getting into my head too much. I So I'm trying to eat by using the hunger scale instead. I have been successful with this method before. But, If I stall out, lose too fast, or the weight starts creeping back I'll be logging again.
I'm hoping 139 comes out to stay by month end! It keeps teasing me by appearing and going away, lol. But I'm trending down so that's what matters I suppose!

No gain or loss for the month. I think this might be my body's way of telling me I've reached my ideal weight but I'm gonna stick with it for another month to make sure before switching to maintenance. I'm happy to be back lifting though. Even with the small gain over the last week I feel better.

Ending the month on a high, but with a caveat - I really need to get my consistency in check.
It's pretty abundantly clear that StrongLifts - or at least having a dedicated lifting programme - is working wonders on my body composition. But my diet has been all over the place. I really let my snacking habit and weekend "oh-i'll-balance-it-out-during-the-week" binges this month, and I need to get my starting mentality back. I think the results will be absolutely kick butt if I manage that.
I'm in a funny place where I'm not really trusting the numbers, but their consistency makes it hard to doubt (except the body fat, but that's part & parcel of using home scale). But when I look i the mirror, I'm just not seeing it...
May goals: I really want to smash it to 50, and then I think I'm going to do a mini-maintenance break to get my head back in the game for a final push!

Good morning fellow bunnies,
Small changes happening here. The weight is moving slowly down. I was hoping for a better result but will take whatever positives there are. AF arrived in full force yesterday and so (I regret to say) went way over my calorie allowance for the day. I hope I can be more firm today and to refrain from overindulging.
Sadly, It looks like I won't be able to reach my April goal unless some miracle happens...

Back on track. Missed my initial April goal, but hit my revised goal.
I got way off track for about a week mid-month, but seemed to have more or less gotten back on track food-wise.
Also, a big win for me has been exercising regularly. I’m going to take measurements soon, but feel a lot stronger and am guessing my body composition has improved.1 -

I had a good friend staying with me this past week. I did worse than I hoped, but better than I expected. I missed two workouts, but got all three runs in. I went over weight loss calories on a couple days, but still under maintenance. TOM started day before yesterday too. So, I’m actually feeling quite satisfied with my weigh in today. . Yesterday was my birthday, so I’ll take it as a gift.0 -
