Hello my name is Alice-Faye, I'm 23 and I'm from Rochester, England (but currently live in France). I have lost 42kg (92.5lbs) so far, mostly in 2016. I started the year at 123kg (271lbs) and am currently at 110kg (242lbs). My current goal is to get down as low as I can (within reason obv) by June 18th when I'm going to see my family. If I could lose another 10kg (22lbs) that would be perfect but I would settle for getting past my lowest weight (108kg - 238lbs).
So that's my little number dump lol aside from that, I do yoga everyday and walk 6 days a week, I am an artist and I love learning languages (I can muddle along in English, French, German, Dutch, and BSL) and I have a weightloss Instagram account where I post pictures of my food as a type of accountability (I plan on doing 'what I ate today' posts there during this challenge so I have a visual of what I've eaten during the month). I also struggle with binge eating which has been my biggest problem this month so I'm hoping this challenge might help me control that a bit better!

Hi :-) I'm a 23 year old from the North East of England. I work from home around my little boy so activity levels can range daily and this makes it so much harder to resist trips to the fridge
I'm looking to cut down on bad habits and up my activity level. I currently attend Water Babies once a week with my little boy and go on daily dog walks; so I'm starting home workouts with/without weights and trying to get more steps in a day.4 -
Hi Rick, Craig and everyone.
Most of you already know me, but I'm sure there are plenty of new faces in the group since my absence and look forward to meeting all of you.
Just a quick introduction for our new members, my name is Trixsey and I'm from the UK.
I'm a mother of two teenagers and a slave to two woofies.
I enjoy our doggies walks, cycling through the countryside and jogging.
In the evenings I unwind with my stitching (cross stitch) and a hot choc (low calorie of course, lol).
My weight loss goals kinda went out the window for a while there and I put 11 pounds back on since I was last here. I have lost 2 pounds last week since I've started logging on again and tracking, so it's a good start.
I'm currently 10 stone 9 (149 pounds) - my goal is 9 stone(126 pounds)
I did a charity walk in March (cancer research), 10,000 steps a day everyday for the whole month which was hard as we had some really bad weather here, but I did the entire month and raised £52 from my sponsors.
That got me motivated to do more and I haven't stopped since, lol. I have signed up for another charity walk for May along with a cycling challenge (300km the entire month) so plenty to keep me moving here!
I also like to participate in weekly challenges on the fitbit.

Hi, my name's Mandi. I am in the 18-25 year old range. I've been lightly using this app as a way to track calories but today I decided to get a bit more involved. Tennis season just ended for me so I need to makre sure I dont put on any weight.
My current weight is 137, and I hope to lower that to 110 at the very least (lower would be ideal). I'm super pumped and I hope this will keep me accountable.

Hello my name is Kim. I am very active with both weight training and cardio. I workout 7 days a week. Nutrition is my focal point. I weigh 153 lbs and am 22% body fat, my goal is 140 - 145 lbs. and 16-18% bf.
I work a full time job as a Soldier and am a mother of 3 and married. I am a volunteer coach as well as fitness instructor. I lead a very busy life. I am committed to lose some of this fluff4 -
Opting in for what will be my thirteenth month month. 49yo father of one from Australia. Started tracking weight and food when I realised I was heading for obese for the first time in my life. UAC has been helping keep me honest and on track. Have now exceeded initial goal weight and lost over 25kg (50 lbs) and in full maintenance since September 2017.
UAC is helped me create good, sustainable habits with the help of a wonderfully supportive group.

I keep starting and stopping, spinning my wheels, lose a few pounds, then gain 10 back. I like the idea of daily accountability in this challenge. I sure need it!
I have been struggling a long time to lose this weight. I always let stress derail me. I'm pretty good at coming up with excuses to not work out, to eat more than I should, etc. This challenge should help me cut that out!6 -
Good morning.
I've been on this journey since December 2014. I lost a little over 30 pounds the first year and have hovered at about the same weight (give or take 10) for the past couple of years. I currently have about 26 pounds to lose to reach my goal weight. My journey is most successful when I focus on sleep, stress management, whole foods (nothing highly processed), regular activity and consistent logging in MFP.
I'm looking forward to the May Ultimate Accountability Challenge.5 -
Hi my name is Tammie I am 43 years old and I live in Lincolnshire.
I have been losing weight on and off for years. I am still 1 st 12.9lbs lighter than when I started my journey. In January this year I had an accident resulting in surgery to my leg. I am still only partially weightbearing but getting a lot more activity in now. I signed up for the RAF 100k in 100 days and I am already several km ahead of target despite the crutches.
I am hoping this challenge will help motivate me to lose the rest of my weight before i renew my wedding vows in Oct. I need to lose another 33lbs in 25 weeks but i would be happy with 28lbs and being a lot healthier and happier.
I am also doing a no alcohol challenge. I am on day 2 of my second 28day challenge. I managed 28 days but then lost a friend to a massive heart attach which knocked me for 6.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's stories and motivation during the next month.2 -
Can I join for the May Challenge?
SW: 198 lbs
CW: 188 lbs
I will ensure daily check in ,20 minutes of activity everyday , recording of meals within budget.

Hi, my name is Carol. I joined MFP in August 2017. Prior to August 2017 I participated in another online weight loss community forum I commenced in January 2011. Initial weight loss was between 30-35 pounds after which I remained in maintenance for 5 years. When the earlier program was discontinued and no longer available to me, about 8 pounds crept back on during a time period when I was not tracking. I became actively involved with the MFP UAC challenge in the fall of 2017; and pleasantly found myself back in maintenance by January 2018. Monitoring calories, logging, and exercise are the key components of this challenge, yielding success when coupled with individual determination to stay on track. The challenge excludes no one, other team members are supportive, and even if members are unable to successfully make "winner's circle" they are still encouraged to stay with the group for the remainder of the month. Tomorrow is always another day to begin anew, so the intent is not to be discouraged but rather feel supported from other like-minded team members with the ultimate goal to live a healthy life. Welcome to all the new team members which are joining UAC for the first time in May, and to the "virtual friends" with whom I have become acquainted in the last several months!7

Hi my name is Asylin (Az-Lynn)! I am a 35 yo housewife and mother of 2. I tried this challenge once before and didn't get past day 5. I believe I am in the mindset right now to attain this goal. I quit my stressful accounting job a little over a year ago. I was sure I was going to have all this time now to take care of myself and lose the weight. Turns out, not the case! It was hard with one of my kids being 1 year old at the time. She was a needy baby unlike how my son was. Fast forward a year and a few months and I now have a little less dependant 2 year old that is newly potty trained. I feel like it's the right time to focus a little more on myself. On pretty days I get out her stroller and we walk around the neighborhood. On not so pretty days I keep myself moving with housework (something always needs to be cleaned). Occasionally I will do a Barre workout on you tube. My family and I love being outside so we spend alot of evenings in the backyard playing wiffle ball, soccer, catch, throwing the frisbee, pushing my girl on her swing, picking flowers...anything that keeps us busy and moving. Hope everyone has a successful May!3

Hi! My name is Traci. I haven't participated in a challenge before. I started working on my weight loss in November of 2017 but just recently became really motivated to lose the weight. I'm pretty good about getting workouts in but I still struggle the most with the food. I have been trying new recipes with more protein/vegetables. The weekend's are the hardest!1

Hello! My name is Chelsey. I’ve done several challenges on MFP, and have lost about 50lbs in total, including before MFP. I’ve got another 20-ish to lose, but I’ve been yo-yoing 5-10 lbs since last summer. I’m looking forward to a group which holds me accountable. Like @tracimcp, I struggle with the weekends and not splurging after being diligent all week long. I’m good with workouts as I’m doing a cross-training Program right now and supplementing additional cardio into my week.
Looking forward to May 1st!1 -
Hi, I am Alan. I live in southeast Arkansas, USA. This is my 3rd month in this challenge. I lost 95 pounds last year and working to keep it off. My goal range is 210-215 pounds. I am currently at 213. I am participating in several challenges all with the goal to keep me motivated to exercise. This is a great group and @RangerRickL I love the pictures. Keep them coming.3

Hi! I’m from the UK but am currently living in Spain! This is my first challenge! I’m currently around the 74kg (164lbs) Mark but am hoping to dip back down to 70kg with the eventual goal of getting to 60kg by november! I am currently a bit of a gym bunny with a dream of becoming a kick *kitten* surfer! I’m excited for you guys to keep me in check!!!3

I'm in. Need to lose 50-60 lbs. My sister just had a stroke and a heart attack earlier this year and I need to get healthier so this does not happen to me.4

Hello everyone I’m Robyn from the Western Massachusetts, USA.
I put almost 1000 miles on my car just going to doctors last year for a variety of issues…I’ve been cleared to exercise and I’m chomping at the bit to get back into it! I miss my in shape body!
I know that what I eat has a big bearing on how I feel (emotionally and physically) so I’ve started tracking my food again and I’m freaking out at the calorie totals and how much I’m missing the mark on nutrition. Gotta get this back under control and the only way to do that is to keep track and make changes to the diet.
As for exercising - I’m not working full time so there is no excuse for not exercising. I will continue to walk mornings in May and the afternoons will be hiking or hills. Each walk will be 30 minutes minimum – slow and steady increases to time and speed so that I can walk at a good clip for about 45 minutes or more by the end of the month. I’ve also got 30 minutes of stretching that includes some PT exercises that I do daily.
My current weight is 155 lbs and my goal is 140 lbs. Getting the food portions and correct nutrition as well as more intense exercising will help me achieve this - I am so ready for this!

Love this group! This will be my 4th month with the UAC. I'm at my goal weight after losing 35 pounds 6 years ago, but slippage has happened occasionally. I'm 64, living in rural Quebec (Canada) and recently retired. I'm working on getting stronger so that things don't hurt and I feel balanced and full of energy. I get sick of tracking every day now that I have maintained for so long, but it is still a good discipline. This group inspires me to keep at it and to get sweaty every day.5

First time in a challenge. I’ve been derailed by losing focus when stress hits. I think checking in daily and sharing feedback and supporting others will help keep me mindful and on track.5

Hi guys!
My name is Claire and I am a 20 year old university student. My current weight is probably ~125lbs, and my goal weight is ~117-120 pounds. I'm VERY short, so that 5 pounds is pretty significant and hard for me to get off.
I do intense exercise about 3 times a week and walk at least 10k steps every day to stay generally active, and do lots of standing when studying etc.
My major problem is nutrition. I love to eat healthy, whole foods, and really dislike sugar and grains. I used to be more active than I am now, but really it was my good nutrition that kept me in stellar shape.
However this past year I developed binge eating disorder. Whenever I feel lonely or stressed, I turn to food- not just a pint of ice-cream or something, but usually I will eat 1-2 pounds of peanut butter and 2 pounds of bananas in a sitting. About 4-6000 calories at a time, about 6-8000 calories a day. Several days a week.
Its obviously super shameful and confusing. Some people in uni turn to drugs or alcohol as a coping mechanism, but I have found my drug to be food. It gives the same "hit" of comfort, pleasure, etc, and the same shame, guilt, and negative consequences after. But unlike the others, binging also results in lots of weight gain. I was 105 lbs this time last year
I always track what I'm eating, so I'm hoping that being on here can give me a community to help me resist turning to my binging "drug"- it can hold me accountable, and maybe I can reach out and post when I'm feeling lonely or stressed instead of binging.
IDK if this will help, but I appreciate any sort of community and support!6 -
Hello, I’m Babette, I live in England and I’m a 47. I work in IT Risk for a major bank.
I can work from home whenever I like but was walking to the office tues, weds, thurs which is 20mins each way, at the start of the year. Unfortunately I started with frequent migraines a few months ago so I now stay at home as I can just go lie down as soon as one hits.
My adult daughter lives with me but has found a lovely man and so is at his place most of the time nowadays. So life has become much quieter and I’ve found MFP (& Facebook!) a lifesaver to stay connected to the outside world during the day! When accountable to no-one the food & fitness it’s easy to slip a day....two days...a week and then spiral into despair.
SO I’m up for this challenge!! I work out 5 evenings a week, mostly dance classes that make me feel happy to be alive and remind me how great life is!
I usually have two rest days a week so this challenge will get me round my local park on those days as sat in front of a laptop all day gains me no Steps and my fitness band makes me feel guilty every hour when it buzzes at me to Move!
I have lost 10lbs so far this year and am taking my two adult children to DisneyWorld in November and want to shed at least 20 more pounds by then. I lost 25 lbs in 10 weeks last year - and put it all back on in another 10 over Christmas so I’m doing it slower now to keep it off.
I fear this long ramble hasn’t earned me any Steps either so I’d best go Move!
Looking forward to being a part of this challenge! Bring it on!!! xx4 -
I am Gus. A year ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have had an interesting year of chemo, surgery and radiation. Now I am ready to get back to a more fit lifestyle.5

Hi my name is Sue and I am a stress eater. Things get tough oh I walk I walk miles but I also eat chocolate. Yep I am consuming my exercise calories I just need to find a happy medium.LOL4

Hi, my name is Cathy, I’m a 56 y/o nurse. My highest weight was 172 lbs in 2009. I made a commitment to a healthier lifestyle, changed my diet, hit the gym and got down to 118 lbs ( that was a little extreme). I’m currently at 134.8 lbs. Just completed an April challenge and lost 2.4 lbs. would have been more but I was slacking the past week. I find if I track food, I tend to do well with weight loss.
Looking forward to holding myself accountable. My ultimate goal would be 125 lbs but I’d be ecstatic to hit 130 lbs (that’s the weight on my driver’s license).3 -
Hello, I'm Lisa. Have been a MFP member for a long time, but never been very consistent about logging and posting. I'm 50, live in Minneapolis, have a 17 yo, and about 50lbs I'm looking to get rid of.
Started IF/Keto about two weeks ago and have seen good results so far (don't want to get into a debate about diet/lifestyle choices). Currently exercising 5 days a week and now that spring has finally arrived to Minnesota will be adding lawn care to the workout routine. Have been good about logging food the past two weeks, but given my past track record of dropping off the site, hoping this group will help keep me honest.
Looking forward to a great May!1 -
Hi. My name is Margaret and I live in Minnesota. I just restarted MFP - was doing great for a while then fell off the wagon in January 2017. I am restarting my running as well with a goal of running in the Twin Cities Marathan again this fall after a two year break. I am currently at 168 with a goal of 136 by the end of the year.2
-
Hi group,
I’m Michelle and I just turned 23. I have been using MFP for two weeks and I have lost nine pounds so far. My goal is to lose 70 more pounds.2 -
Hello! my name is Twyla, and i’m hoping this challenge will help me lose the last 10 or so pounds to reach my goal! I just finished the April ‘Lose 5 Pounds’ challenge (i lost 5.2 lbs) and I really liked the accountability / checking in part, so I want to keep that going!1
-
Hi, I'm D. I had a baby in May 2017 and currently weigh the same I did a year ago. The baby weight never came off and just keeps adding up. I have no will power and am a bottomless-pit, so I just keep eating. And to make matters worse I have a sweet tooth and a sedentary job.
I've been on MFP for years, but really need to be held accountable now. I need to get the weight off so I don't need to buy any new 'bigger' clothes. I'd love to be back in my old clothes for the summer. For some reason all my athletic wear is tight-fitting for back when I was leaner and literally ran everyday.
Now with the toddler, it's hard to find time to exercise, I usually use my free time to sleep!
Time to be accountable!!!3
