Great day today! The sun was out for much of the day and temps mild. Went for a 1 hour 20 minute walk on the Erie Canal Path and another shorter 20 minute walk in a nearby village....so

@RangerRickL I did find the children's book Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry at a local library, today. I'm sure I'll have fun reading it, even if it is intended for a much "younger" set! Perhaps I will be more inspired to visit Assateague Island. It's actually nice to revisit earlier reads to gain perspective.
Given our upcoming trip to London, I just recently read Winnie the Pooh and am now reading The Natural World of Winnie-The-Pooh Exploring the Real Landscapes of the Hundred Acre Wood by Kathryn Aalto. A.A. Milne's Cotchford Farm which inspired his Pooh stories is situated in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Sussex, south of London. We will be in London for a few days pre-cruise...but now wish we had time to visit Cotchford Farm, The Hundred Acre Wood and Ashdown Forest. There are no doubt lots of hiking trails in the area to satisfy the exercise component of UAC!3 -
Checking in to say congrats to all of the soon to be winners of the April challenge. I just started back this month. I am as rusty as an old nail. Nailed it Aug, Sept and Oct making the winners circle. Ended the year lacking only a few lbs to the elusive goal weight. Then the onslaught of winter kept me from much physical activity. Hoping for more balance in May.
My positives.
I have been able to stay within 6#s of my weigh loss which is close to my goal weight. My smaller clothes still fit, I have not ate a whole pack of sweets or lg size bag of anything since I began my weight loss in August. I'm back to walking and trying to exercise everyday. Feeling better and stronger due to that.
My Negatives.
The truth--I've been pretty stressed out over something that has been taking way too much of my time and energy. This, is at this point, is totally unavoidable. May is another month and another chance to get all three things together again food, exercise and tracking. Let me tell you when I stick to the UAC plan I feel better mentally and physically.5 -
Thing's have been hectic here. Another person was fired. They are hiring 2 more people bopping people between departments. I will be doing receptionist and teller. I said I would fill in till they could find a permanent person. Unless I love the job then I will apply for it. Best part is I don't have to go to the branch. Presently for every pro there is a con I am hoping by doing my boss the favor and trying the position it points me in the right direction.
Unless I go crazy I should make it to the winner's circle.6 -

Uggh. Pass day 3. Fell asleep before I posted last night. Then, as I am making breakfast this morning I realized that I bought the regular instead of low fat version of my waffles which technically put me a whole 32 calories over for the day.1
