I have no idea how many of you read all of the UAC member posts. Interestingly, the daily posts are often posted a day or two after the actual calendar date.
Just so you know....the leaders read every post...even if it gets posted in arrears. We are committed to this team and to your success.

Weather is getting nice out but my body looks like it's gone through the war. I have more bruises than I can count Sun is wreaking havoc on me and giving any area it touches a rash. I feel rough I know part of it is the allergic reaction. Just wish my body would adjust a little faster.5

@craigo3154 thanks for the encouragement I'm definitely finishing this challenge - it is very insightful to see where the calories are going and more importantly, am I getting enough of various nutrients...it's my first run and I expected a little bit of a challenge to stay with it
Well done for staying with us, it is a tough challenge and it takes determination and commitment to see it through. Great job for sticking it out and seeing it through til the end.

Not too much done today. I've been on the go for over a week, cycling, running, walking for miles, so decided to slow the pace down a little.
So caught up on some much needed housework, lol, cleaned through the house, windows, and bedding and mowed the lawns, then a steady doggie walk.
We couldn't go far as it's too hot for my girl, so we stuck to the short trail today and few hills.
Calories burnt:- 588
Calories consumed:- 1497/1590
They bought in food at work today, doner meat and chips. I didn't have the chips but shared some of the meat and salad with a colleague. I didn' t have much but entered the calories in as a full meal - I'd rather be under my daily limit than over.4 -
@trixsey1 "They brought in food at work today..." Always a killer when food is brought into work...but worse at holiday time. The firm I worked for had an office lunch every 2 weeks which was really a full blown sit-down meal in the conference room. We would barbecue steaks and seafood in back of the office building, have crockpot meals, special birthday dinners and always 2 dessert choices at every lunch. For boss's day, once, the support staff prepared an entire turkey dinner with all of the fixings. It was hard not to over-indulge....but I did, nonetheless, more than once!1

I honestly don't like these lunches, especially when the frequency is high. But, I have decided to treat them like any other eating out meals. Plan for it, pick and choose what will not blow my calories budget for the day. Be very picky with food that is not worth my calories expense. I treat some of these food items as viewing a dress I will never want to wear or buy.4 -

Late post as went flying last night and home late.
Wife made pavlova again last night. Double serve, but still in budget.
@w8goal4life. It is both good and bad when an "office" lunch is provided. Good in that there is usually plenty of variety on offer, bad in that if you have dietary preferences they are seldom catered for ("needs of the many" take precedence).
The hardest I find is when they provide sandwiches. Quick and easy to organise. Problem if you have a dietary preference for low/no gluten.
I always bring a small "snack" lunch anyway so I can pick what I most prefer from what is on offer, but can "top up" with food from my preference. Being prepared is what I find key.
Last note is that being "over" for a day is not a problem. If it is food you like, then by all means have it. Be part of life and the social scene. Just go back to schedule the next day.
The whole point of UAC is to develop HABITS that keep you how you want to be. Habits become what you do without thinking. Momentary variations off course are never a problem as when the habit "autopilot" re-engages you will find yourself back on course without thinking.

I'm really enjoying all the posts - thanks for the news! I had another hilarious playground session with the school kids I help out on Tuesdays. Running, climbing, all kinds of tearing about. A half hour of plenty of exercise that I have no idea how to log. I just know it does the job!
Tomorrow I have to feed and put the horses out and then drive to Montreal for a funeral. This man was a great musician, mentor, and friend. He lived to the fullest right to the end - hopefully we'll all keep our mojo the way he did.4 -
Yes x 3 with 75 minute walk with DH and 90 minutes vacuuming and cleaning floors...yuck!
@Lil_Heather - Very proud of you for kicking the soda habit! You are now on the "autopilot" @craigo3154 described above...at least for refraining from soft drinks. He is so right about forming good habits with encouragement from UAC; and you are right about not eating out so much. If we prepare our own meals, we have a much better idea of what we are consuming as opposed to being served meals at a restaurant that are over-sized.2 -
Exercise? Yes, weights in the morning and run club after work

I'm with you all on work lunches. I love them, but they are so tough for me. I often pack a lunch and eat that, but then sometimes I'm still hungry and end up having a second lunch of what was brought in. I think if I know what we will be ordering in advance, rather than try to completely avoid it, I may start trying to budget it into my day so I can still be social and avoid the "looks."5 -

Yesterday I completed my no soda for a year goal. I was an addict, it was mainly all I would drink. Now I can't stand the taste of it. So happy to have kicked that unhealthy addiction. Now I need to work on food. My goal is to eat more healthy foods and stop eating out so much.
@Lil_Heather. Well done.
Funny thing happens when you reduce sweet intake. Your sweet sensitivity goes through the roof (and things can easily be TOO sweet).
Healthy habits are formed day by day. Work on eating healthier today, today. Concern yourself with eating healthier tomorrow, tomorrow. Same way you did no soda for a year. One day at a time.

Exercise: yes, danced in the living room with my husband and kids for over an hour. We played music videos from the 90's and had a blast. I love dancing and it brings back memories to my 16 years of dance lessons.
Calories: no, we went to our local airport when my son got out of school to look at a rescue helicopter, and two hurricane planes. It was open to the public. By the time we left, it was too late to cook and we were all starving so take out it was and I went over. The calories burned by dancing helped but still over.
Tracked: yes everything
Pass day #2 but I don't plan on taking another if I can help it.2 -
