By the time you see this, I hope to be home after a long week of workshops in two different US cities. Unfortunately, I’ll probably not make it home until midnight
Have a wonderful Saturday!!6 -
June 9,
Heh, here is me pushing the join button days after the cut off.
Tracking - I been tracking but I got to get more concise about it.
My wife is on a "fad" diet. She is losing weight but she doesn't feel good.
I think she is going to have to "recover" from that diet and I can only think that means tracking.
Yesterday was Buddy's birthday. He is nine now. He has developmental constraints. For all that his smile and laughter is plenty enough to charge up my life force. Went camping with him and his family.
I have memory of sublime moments.
Buddy's sister addresses me as "Grandpa Bob."
I am not really her Grandpa.
She says "Grandpa Bob, are you playing Buddy a concert?"
Buddy was sitting kind of next to me but kind of facing me and I was playing him my Estudio collection. Buddy gets animated when I play music for him.
I am always charmed by it. I think I gave him a good birthday.
Buddy's mom is trying to push her family in the direction of healthy diet.
Family is a bit resistant. Buddys brother had a stomach ache from pizza. A rock in his gut. I know the feeling. You know the feeling.
C'mon guys. Let's develop an appetite for salad!
But Grandpa Bob better not get overbearing. You know how well that will work.
These days I am on a longevity diet.
Young people can't relate to it. They be all like "why?"
Years ago I had a cough but no symptom of cold or flu.
I went to the doctor and he took blood. The lab say it was so saturated with lipid they couldn't even read for much else. I ain't no scientist but I say lipid is pretty much the same as blood fat. Heh! Even my blood was fat! That was more than ten years ago.
I am more or less happy with my fitness and body shape these days. I don'rt really have the body shape that men admire, not really a body builder. I got more of the look of an endurance athlete.
Buddy's mom kind of holds me up as a dietary and fitness goal to her family.
Dad, he wants football players so bring on the meat and potatoes.
But it ain't working and potatoes can't be potato chips.
I got my mountain bike. It goes with me everywhere.
I rode on a trail called Continental Divide Trail.
Dad seen my bike and got to looking sideways at it. He told me about the mountain bike he built in the days of his youth. Heh, he is half my age.
He has still got that bike he tells me.
I wonder if that guy will dust it off.
(horses can go on it too)

@bocasdelgrandpabob beautiful picture...and as my mom has always said..better late than never! You are an amazing inspiration to your family...people learn more by example...and you are giving them a healthy example. Way to go turning your “fat blood” into healthier blood I’m trying hard to be the healthy example around here, but a certain someone just doesn’t pay enough attention and is very resistant to healthy eating. Hopefully it won’t be too late before he catches on. Have a great weekend!8

Date: June 9th
Exercised?: Did 2 hours of submission wrestling. We had a local event today so me and a coach held the dojo open for anyone to come in and try it out. We did drills and sparring in between showing some basic things to people who came in. Also helped my grandma clean the facades before the painter comes this sunday.
Calories?: I still have 1000 calories left and i havent even put in the facade cleaning so well see if i can push something more into my piehole before i go to bed, but im really full so its not likely
Tracked?: tracked all my food and will add the rest if i do happen to eat something more7 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES ✅ 30 minutes swim + 20 minutes in the batting cages + 30 mins walk
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES ✅ easily - excellent day
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES ✅ absolutely everything
Had a great day yesterday! As it's the weekend I can put more into the exercise part and after the batting cages - my appetite was kinda wiped out. I also went out to a bar with friends later in the day - but didn't drink. I felt amazing for that and now here I am on Sunday morning awake bright and early and feeling great. I might skip the alcohol more often - it feels fab and I am looking forward to Monday morning's weigh-in!
Another x3 .... doing well so far and it's spurring me on. I am planning more swimming + bowling today.7 -

Ok... I have tracked and stayed within calories.
Intential exercise was only 10 minutes but I did just spend 6 hours playing host, greeting 87 people, serving them all cake and drinks, cleaning up, mingling, talking, and then cleaning up after a successful surprise party without sitting down once all in 6 inch heels. Does this count?
Now I am going to go clean up the water that leaked into the basement due to all the rain as we don’t have a sup pump and prepare for more rain this week. This means moving all of the books and bookshelves upstairs somewhere.4 -

Yes.. 20 minutes Cardio and Planks
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Arrived on my trip, short workout today..saving up for the next 3 days of 20 mile per day cardio. It's beautiful here at Sea Island in St. Simon's GA. Brought most of my own food, just plan on eating out for dinners. My goal is to stay on track the whole time. Should be fine with burning so many extra calories.

Exercise? Yes...lots, but again, not the gym kind of exercise. Painted both garage doors today 3 coats each, washed and dried one of our vehicles, minor repair to ceramic tile joint and vacuuming all the mess that got dragged in from outside for the past two days.
Calories? Within allowance
Tracked? Everything logged
@memere101 I really detest home maintenance. Think I'm ready for my 8 hour nap!3 -
3xyes!
Lots of walking. 5kcal under. Tracked everything, weird food choices after 3 though, so I had to skip dinner. 40+ min meditation.3 -

@DeniseRSmith This challenge is a long-view challenge. You choose the target and then choose the calorie limit; amount of exercise; and then track it all. Don't be too hard on yourself. Take a look at your target and other decisions. You might need to make some adjustments to arrive at your target, but take a little longer.

@bocasdelgrandpabob Thanks for the post and photo! You are always a part of this team. Jump in whenever it works for you!

Today, when I got up, after being away from home for 7 days, I did jump on the scale. Thanks to the UAC and tracking, I did not gain any weight. That would not have happened but for the thoughtful habits of the UAC. It's mighty hard to do when you are on the road.
Yesterday, on my travel day home, I still hit my 3 x yes.
Today:
Calories: barely under my limit, but under
Tracking: ok
Exercise: 40 minutes of walking3 -

I guess not. I’m ravenous and decided to eat at maintenance today ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. 2nd pass0 -

Yes 3x LOTS of walking. Walked to town and drove to a neighboring town and walked all over there too! Fun day with my sister.1
-
Exercise was yoga, pilates and self defense (I helped the others because my coach was running it) at a local event. I skipped the Zumba because my ankle is not up to impact yet. Hopefully it will be ready for a bit but next weekend.
Calories were OK. With exercise, I came in at maintenance level which is fine for occasional days.
All tracked.
Sunday is plan and prep day. Chilling for the morning as half of the planning is already done! Hoping to get to open mat this afternoon or else I will go for a walk.1 -

Dog walk followed by breakfast with hubby and a melt down for me. Step daughter drama which is boring and not worth sharing. A huge plus is I haven’t eaten or drank my feelings this time (happens every time she comes to stay). We are going up the Strip tomorrow to celebrate birthdays so it will be an intentional pass day. I’ll let you know if anything changes.....2 -
