Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

@am_change Like you, I'm in awe of many of the UAC members, including our dear friend and very caring team mate, @craigo3154
What I learned years ago, as a high school wrestler, was to compare my progress to me. I think that is one of the great things about the UAC. Everyone privately chooses their own goals and limits. Nobody judges them or second guesses them. If I am happy with my goals and limits...you are happy with my goals and limits. Nonetheless, we are here for each other because it helps us to help others. That is living the Golden Rule. Do for others what you would like them to do for you.

I love this! It's exactly how I try and live my life. It is so much easier to cheer my friends on in their journeys and celebrate their victories when I am not comparing myself to them. My journey is different to theirs and as long as I'm making progress on my own journey, I am happy.
@am_change Yes, the Garden Route is the best way to see South Africa. I'm heading down to Cape Town in August for a long weekend (and a Jiu Jitsu competition!)4 -
@RangerRickL. @Dory_42. This is so true about only competing against yourself.
I am reminded of the following:
"Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
...
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
...
..." -- Desiderata by Max Ehrmann
My goals and achievement have accumulated from a lifetime of experience and are relevant to only me. Others have done more. There is always more I could do, but I do not use that as a driver as that can be said no matter how much is accomplished.
@Dory_42. would be able to out Jiu Jitsu me without thinking. @RangerRickL. is a far better lawyer and horseman than I will ever be. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Work with your strengths. Work on the weaknesses you can, want to, and are motivated to improve. Celebrate your achievements and the achievements of others.
With my daughter, we have fostered an attitude of personal bests are celebrated more than victory within any contest involving others. This is because, the only truly worthwhile contestant is yourself. We can only ask that in any endeavour that you do your best, no one should expect more.
Choose you endeavour. Choose to do your best. Tell us about it and let us celebrate with you.10 -

Pass Day 7
My supervisor shared his flu bugs so I spent the day in bed. Read a book and caught up on some series. No exercise, no logging.7 -
Wise Words this morning! I think this meme also sums it up....
I try really hard not to judge (I don’t always make it, it’s a work in progress) and am practicing ‘Live and Let Live’, it frees me up from so much, I don’t get bogged down in stuff that really is none of my business.6 -

Pass. 32 calories over. A rare night out with friends and calorific wine consumed. We were outside on the south bank in central London with clear skies on summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Was worth it and no regrets. Hope you all had a good longest or shortest day depending on your hemisphere and happy summer/winter to you xx3

Today I went to a 'Forever Fit' class. It's my favourite so far and I am enjoying mixing it up a bit. I think I'm going to feel it tomorrow2 -
I did just fine today.
Worked at the law firm. I've got Friday off and then Saturday, I've created a new public presentation that I am so excited to try out. Despite the fact that I was always taught to do lots of practice before presenting, I break that rule. I create a presentation and then I gather and audience and just give it a go. I study the audience's responses and modify on the fly. It's exhilarating!
Today:
Calories: under by 350+
Exercise: exercise walking
Tracking: good2
