Advice regarding carbs and progress😊

Hi,
I am following the OKL chart in terms of my macros etc. I’m just wondering if I have a total of 33 carbs for the day but have 13 grams of fibre do I say my Net carbs are 20g for that day? Do you always take net or aim for 20g total per day?
Also I’ve been off and on the Keto wagon due to a number of reasons and obviously my progress has not been great. Does it take your body a lot longer to drop the weight each time you restart?

Question: I noticed some stuff given joining a challenge. I've always followed NET carbs, but I saw recently that soluble fiber is indeed ingested, so wouldn't it actually affect your body?0

I have always heard it's carb - fiber = net carbs ....so if this isn't true LOL man I have been eating more carbs then I should , people now are talking about going 0 carbs and now I have to count fiber carbs ,........just so dang confusing . I wish there was just one diet plan and that was it , and all this do this or don't do that and what is good what is bad was over . IF you are losing weight , then it's good, what you are doing !! If you think you shouldn't eat net carbs then don't ! and I don't just mean this towards @tayusuki , it is towards all the folks who seem to change the rules all the time LOL losing weight is hard enough .1 -
Generally, fiber isn't detrimental and most people can ignore it. I am zerocarb (no plants at all), but it isn't because it is better than keto for weight loss. Fiber does not seem to impact weight loss (positively or negatively) for most people. I would say you could ignore it.2

My only caveat is that since you spelled it "fibre" my guess is you aren't in the US and it's possible your nutrition info is already calculating net carbs.0

True! I think net carbs is given on the nutritional info on labels in the UK.
Here in Canada, we get total carbs on all labels (I was taught fibre as the correct spelling too).0 -

Yup I'm sure! All the package labeling is in net carbs. The only time there is a problem is if you are looking something up on line and then if a non UK site comes up it will use total carbs. Just remember not to take the fibre off again as it's already off for anything labeled in the UK!!1
