Friday was a morning off so I took a needed long solitary walk along the bike trail. It was worth the time even though the temperatures were up around 90F by the time I got back to the car. Not quite as active today but I have added another 9 miles for an August total of 13.5 miles.
Hope everyone had a fun Saturday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!0 -

Technology is great until it isn't. My phone simm card moved position and that cause the entire system to just stop. My Strava stopped tracking 2/3 through my ride, could not make a phone call, dial 911, text or anything and no one could get a hold of me either. Had to drive 15 miles to the nearest phone store and they got it fixed. GRRRRR!

Couldn't agree with you more on that one. We run mostly paperless here in the office and when the internet goes down, we are scrambling. I finally got extra data on my plan so if it happens, I can turn my phone into a hot spot.0 -

@Dave - - trust games, played them a few times with teenagers at work. The so-and-so’s only dropped me once in 34 years!
@taxmom9093 - fab to see you on the thread again
@anaconda469 - another win for you - that looks like an excellent BP to me
@clepant - so now it becomes real as schools go back - how are you doing?

Well after only using the stationary bike in July to try and help my knee, I tried doing a tiny bit of running on Saturday. Got through a couple of minutes before it started hurting again. Not super pain, but enough to make me walk only. This is really depressing. I was never fast by any means, but I always knew I would be able to finish a race that I started. Now i don't know if I will be able to do that.
And i have quite a few evening meetings this month, so only going for 125 miles this month. Hope to get more, but not sure right now.

@LISAH - Sorry you're having trouble with your knee still. I can relate, unfortunately. Just keep being patient and give it a little more time and then do what you did...give it a quick test and stop at first sign that you should stop and walk. Good luck!
@JUST_CECI - Sorry about your login streak! I hope your time with family in Texas was good anyway.
Dave
