    Goals: 28" waist - 154 lbs - 17% bf

    8/1 - 30" - 157 - 18.4%
    8/7 - 29.5" - 155.4 - 17.9%
    8/10 - 29" - 153.4 - 17.2%
    8/14 - 29" - 154.8 - 17.5%
    8/17 - 29" - 154.4 - 17.5%
    8/24 - 28.5"

I didn't take the time to hop on the scale this morning because I was already late and half dressed when I realized I probably needed a checkpoint for the week...however, I did a quick waist measurement, and YAY!!! I'm hoping to lose that last half inch in the final week, but even if I don't it was totally worth it just to make as much progress as I have.

For those of you going dairy free - anyone else can ignore the rest of this post:

I was vegan for 5 years and here are some of my favorites, might save you some time (and money) testing out replacements, and these are all just my opinions, so feel free to disagree...cashew milk is the best replacement for half and half or cream and it's amazing in tea/coffee...almond milk is probably my favorite for a plain milk like cooking or cereals or just drinking plain...earth balance is the best butter replacement...soy cheese is gross except cream cheese, Vegan Gourmet and Tofutti both have decent soy based cream cheese...Daiya brand is the best approximation of sliced or shredded cheese and it kind of melts right...be watchful on the cheese replacements because some of them are made with milk protein so they are labeled "lactose free" or "dairy free" Go Veggie brand is one that I specifically remember doing that, so look for a "vegan" label if you want it 100% no milk based ingredients or read the ingredients and know what they all mean...coconut milk yogurts are the best tasting, the other milk alternative bases are kind of bland...for sour cream I would just go with a plain non-dairy yogurt...for mayo Veganaise by Follow Your Heart is quite good...and if you want to have a splurge or treat and have ice cream So Delicious is so very very yum, and they have a Turtle Trails that was totally my very favorite weakness...fortunately it's only in small containers.

Thank you. I am trying soy free veganaise right now. So delicious brand does not agree with milk. Curious about cashew milk.

Dairy allergy & here are my favorites:

Almond Breeze unsweetened chocolate almond milk
Daiya non-dairy cheeses (all of them)
    Chao original creamy non-dairy cheese
    Tofutti cream cheese
    Daiya non-dairy yogurt (cherry)

I have to try almond milk for sure. Thanks for the tips.

I am going completely dairy free. I might have some nuts issues as well. I will be checking those out this month. I stalled for a while but made it to 236 which was 4 pounds heavier than my July goal weight of 232-228. Cheers to a new month:

    SW (06/04/2018): 247.8
    CW (08/03/2018): 236.0
    AUGUST GW: 230-226
    DEC GW: 199
    OGW (06/03/2019): 150

So far it seems like I was completely right about going dairy free. Now I am checking out my nuts and seeds. I made some coconut butter cookies the other day for some fat bombs nutrition: i used a bit of almond flour and coconut butter with eggs , baking powder, vanilla extra. Each time I have eaten that cookie (one a day) , i have had at least a 0.5 gain the next morning. I am tempting to believe that the culprit is with coconut but I will be trying some recipes this weekend with only almond flour and/or almond milk and will keep y all updated.
Hoping to reach my August goal in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, here are my updated stats:
    SW (06/04/2018): 247.8
    (08/03/2018): 236.0
    CW (08/18/2018): 234.0
    AUGUST GW: 230-226
    DEC GW: 199
    OGW (06/03/2019): 150

    Hello everyone,

I have been feeling sicked, sore throat and stuff and not eating enough. I started to worry that my milk supply will drop since i have noticed that my breasts have reduced in size a bit. I was able to get some labs tests done and my thyroid levels are lower than ever. Could be the reason why i have been stalling a lot and experiencing all those inflamations. My hormones are out of control and attacking my thyroid. Just waiting on treatment now from endocrinologist. I am still loosing though so that is good. Trying to keep carbs at aroung 50g to maintain milk supply. Not far from reaching my August weight goals although i have stopped taking any coconut and almond foods including mct oil coconut flavor and almonds nuts for now. I might re introduce them later.

    Update stats:
    SW (06/04/2018): 247.8
    (08/03/2018): 236.0
    (08/18/2018): 234.0
    CW (08/25/2018): 233.2
    AUGUST GW: 230-226
    DEC GW: 199
    OGW (06/03/2019): 150

    Sunday 8/19: 235.6
    Sunday 8/26: 236.2 Up .4 lb

Granted, it's not much up, but it's frustrating to be going up and not down. Especially when I have no idea what changed or caused the weight gain... Well, no, that's not true. Vodka. Vodka is probably the culprit. I just need to go alcohol free for a while again. UGH.

Dani, It looks like you were bouncing up-and-down in the 250's a few months ago, and then in the 240's, and now in the 230's. So you're doing great! Less vodka may speed it up though, LOL!

    GW - 150
End of August GW - 175

    Wednesday, August 1 - 180.8
    Sunday, August 5 - 178.6
    Sunday, August 12 - 176.8
    Sunday, August 19 - 182.4
    Sunday, August 26 - 177.9
    Friday, August 31

The last 2 weeks have been a bit rough. My oldest son’s birthday and my niece’s birthday both offered bad choices, plus I’m working about 3 times as many hours per week than I have for the last decade, and it’s all 12 hour night shifts. I typically do ok AT work, but when I wake up the next afternoon, I’ve been really awful about deciding I don’t care to fix something keto-friendly and just make a pb&j sandwich or something of that sort. My calories have consistently been under, but I’m retaining enough water that my hands feel stiff and my ankles and feet are visibly swollen. I’m hoping I can still hit my goal by Friday, but as I’m working tonight, Thursday night, and Friday night, I’m going to need to get a handle on waking-up food to shed the water and get there.

Greetings all, not actually dead and buried just beyond busy. For those of you who are long timers on this challenge and have excellent memories we had a house fire early December 2017. We are still in the rental but things are now getting towards ready at our own house and suddenly contractors are asking me to do things like choose light fittings and paint colours ete etc.
Now that may sound like fun but our house isn't tiny and neither my husband nor I enjoy shopping. So this has been the reverse of fun and I hate the "kitten" internet as I look and look and the same things come up then you arrange to see them in actuality and then you hate them and then you start again. I've counted and I've now bought 25 yes 25 light fittings, WTF!!

Anyhow suffice to say I have NOT been sticking to my diet, I do a day or two then I break out then I go back and then I break out and so it has gone on for the past two weeks.

Also we have to be out of this house we've lived in for 8 months by 21st September so I think a hotel again with the stuff we have accumulated in the 8 months in storage with the rest of our belongings ahhhhhh! Also no certain date as to when we can move back home but October sometime seems to be the opinion. Big meeting tomorrow at the house with surveyors and contractors etc.

So currently up at 150.2 and away for a couple of nights as we'd both had enough so it may be more by tomorrow! Still at least I haven't totally lost the plot and I do have good food days along with the not so great ones!

That's my general moan over and now I'll post the September Challenge as yes oh yes next Sunday is our first Sunday of September. :o

Welp, you win some, you lose some. I am back near my weight at the start of the month. This was my birthday weekend and I did not hold back. My progress was not wiped out completely, but a lot of work was reversed. Maybe a lot of this gain is water (alcohol) weight? I guess we'll see that once I flush out my system. On to a new week.

    Height: 6'7
    Starting weight: 310 (July 1 2018)
    Weight on 7/31: 286lbs
    Goal weight by 8/31: 265lbs

    Sunday 08/05: 282lbs
    Sunday 08/12: 278 lbs
    Sunday 08/19: 272
    Sunday 08/26: 280

    Wrapping up August 08/31:

    Sunday 08/12: 156.8 (+2.6)
    Sunday 08/19: 158.0 (+1.2)
    Sunday 08/26: 156.0 (-2.0)

Slowly dropping the few pounds I had gained over the last couple of weeks.

I also had bought a Groupon a bit ago for 1 month of crossfit bootcamp (slight less intense than regular crossfit) classes at a local gym. I just went this morning for the first class, and let me tell you, it was ROUGH! I cannot do a sit up and it was tough to be the only one who couldn't do it. The instructor was super accommodating and we found an alternate exercise for the interval training we were doing. I'm not embarrassed or beating myself up, but I didn't expect that I couldn't do it. I'm not in horrid shape - I've been weight lifting and doing a run/walk (Couch to 5k) program - but I can see that I really need to up my fitness level.

My weight goal for September is going to be very conservative: I want to be less than my August starting weight of 154.2. My performance goal is to be able to do 10 regular sit ups in a row.

One more weigh-in on Friday and this month will be wrapped up. I'm quite pleased that I showed a loss this week. I ate some things I shouldn't have this weekend and was afraid that I would end up with water weight. I'm trying to imagine what the loss would have been had I not indulged! I have the whole week to move that dial even more. We are going to visit friends over the holiday weekend so the first weigh-in of September may be delayed.

    Keto Jan SW: 175
    August Goal: less than 157.6
    Goal Weight: 140

    Sunday 08/05 - 157.2 (-.4)
    Sunday 08/12 - 156 (-1.2)
    Sunday 08/19 - 154.8 (-1.2)
    Sunday 08/26 - 154 (-.8)
