@NikkiJRM Yes, sunscreen!!!! I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico in the 80's. We slathered ourselves in baby oil and fried ourselves like human wantons. A few years ago I was visiting my mom and noticed her arms looked completely different. Her right arm looked like alligator skin while her left arm was milky with fine lines. I realized that her right arm was always hanging out the window as my dad was the automobile driver in the family. Years of being a passenger with her right arm resting on the edge of the open window had caused severe sun damage. It was proof positive what the sun does to skin. Oh well, there's no going back. You look as lovely as can be!!!

    Goals: 28" waist - 154 lbs - 17% bf

    8/1 - 30" - 157 - 18.4%
    8/7 - 29.5" - 155.4 - 17.9%
    8/10 - 29" - 153.4 - 17.2%
    8/14 - 29" - 154.8 - 17.5%
    8/17 - 29" - 154.4 - 17.5%

Not much in the way of progress this week, and still lost a bit of ground from the weekend at the beach...I'm not entirely surprised, my adherence to the food plan and the exercise has been less than ideal. Time to buckle down for the last two week stretch. Not going out of town this weekend, but going to the grandkids birthday party tomorrow, so packing deviled eggs and planning to stick to the food goals. Also, since there won't be any travel I should be able to step it up and do my workouts for the first weekend all month!

Super excited by my loss this week: over 40 lbs down in almost 6 months! Also, I went clothes shopping for the first time since starting keto, and I am down 3 pants sizes! Super excited to have clothes that really fit again! ^_^ Keto on everyone!

    Yay!!!!!! Super excited for you.

I am going completely dairy free. I might have some nuts issues as well. I will be checking those out this month. I stalled for a while but made it to 236 which was 4 pounds heavier than my July goal weight of 232-228. Cheers to a new month:

    SW (06/04/2018): 247.8
    CW (08/03/2018): 236.0
    AUGUST GW: 230-226
    DEC GW: 199
    OGW (06/03/2019): 150

So far it seems like I was completely right about going dairy free. Now I am checking out my nuts and seeds. I made some coconut butter cookies the other day for some fat bombs nutrition: i used a bit of almond flour and coconut butter with eggs , baking powder, vanilla extra. Each time I have eaten that cookie (one a day) , i have had at least a 0.5 gain the next morning. I am tempting to believe that the culprit is with coconut but I will be trying some recipes this weekend with only almond flour and/or almond milk and will keep y all updated.
Hoping to reach my August goal in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, here are my updated stats:
    SW (06/04/2018): 247.8
    (08/03/2018): 236.0
    CW (08/18/2018): 234.0
    AUGUST GW: 230-226
    DEC GW: 199
    OGW (06/03/2019): 150

    @jrmie333 Thank you!

How is it for you with the no dairy?
I thought I was managing well until I went to a bbq and that was a WRAP!

Is there any way you can have an allergen test done? It may be the easiest way to figure out what is causing you issues.

I’ve been creating old recipes with vegan butter, coconut manna, and mct oil. I’m preparing for going dairy free. My skin is happier without cheese. I’m fine with it but my skin, which can be described as mature and sensitive, would rather I just not!

I'm currently coaching 2 more friends starting Keto; that makes 5 people all together. The first person has lost 25lbs.

This is AWESOME! Ive told several people about keto and how it's working for me, and several have asked how I've lost my weight, but so far no one I know seems to want to put forth any kind of effort! Lol!

    Starting weight in May: 210.4
Goal by end of August: 183.0
    Goal by Oct 19th: 179.0

    August 1st: 186.8
    Sunday 08/05: 186.4
Sunday 08/12: TOM arriving and I cheated this weekend and ate sushi, so I didn’t bother to weigh. I’ll post next Sunday.
Sunday 08/19: 186.8 Attended a wedding on Friday. It was a soft first goal. I’d hoped to be back down to the weight I was the last time I saw this friend and I succeeded!!! (I gained and then lost again 24 lbs since I’d last seen her 8 months ago). I ate EVERYTHING!!! So it will take a few days to get back into ketosis, but I have no regrets. The next (more important) goal is a wedding I’m singing in on Sept 1st and then My MOST important goal for myself is Oct 19th. My 3rd wedding anniversary. I need to see 179 before then!
