I do quite a bit of house walking when it's cold and wet outside. :)

I work in an office. My phone is a blue tooth so I pace a lot while I am working. Pacing adds up quickly!

I get about 6,000 at work, then hop on the treadmill for a couple miles, then whatever else I get while making dinner and cleaning. You can also run in place to add some steps and extra calorie burn ( used to do this when I worked my 2nd job doing graveyards and had nothing to do, helped keep me awake, burned some extra calories, and helped with my daily steps)

On my days off, I have to make more of an effort to get my steps in as Im not walking a lot between buildings

Me too. Or I would go to gym and walk/run on treadmill.

thank you guys for the input
i like the idea of pacing up and house walking.

I used remove my fit bit once i get home now i am doing it only when i go to bed.

would loved to go to gym but right now it's little hard with 4 month old and 2 1/2 yr old

keep the fitbit on whenever you are out of bed, and I bet the steps will add up quickly as you chase after the little ones (or pace the floor with a fretful baby who starts teething ... )
